Ivan remembers his first year in Hogwarts, when Snake Monster ravaged the castle, his restless mood, knowing everything, knowing that bad things were about to happen, knowing the real identity of the killer hiding behind it, knowing how to enter the Chamber of Secrets, but unable to speak, even afraid to go to Dumbledore...

He explored the world carefully, and as he watched enough and tried to change it slightly, the familiar plot immediately changed, and Tom Riddle's diary, which was supposed to be in Ginny's hands, went to Ron's.

A series of events eventually led to the Snake Monster breaking into the Gryffindor Public Lounge and Ron's hacking, making his character a little strange.
