Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 914: Umbridge's Address

Harry was not surprised at the noise he had made about them and felt he could not mediate with them.

He took advantage of the time to enjoy his steak and waist pie in a delicious way, followed by a full plate of his favorite syrup fruit pies.

Yeah, Harry and Ron can care less, but Ivan has a responsibility to calm Hermione's anger.

But it's easy, he's already experienced, just distract Hermione.

It works every time, whether it's kissing, suggesting new topics, or something else…

Ivan told Hermione what she was going to say, and she did come to the interest and discuss it with him.

They feel it's not too late to get ready to start this weekend.

Ivan brings all first-year newcomers together in the name of the Boy's Chair, on the grounds that he leads them familiar with the campus.

If all goes well, the event can be held for a long time...

Of course, enough time is needed to help Harry and Hermione improve their strengths and learn magic, and Ivan feels that they can expand their numbers appropriately, but this is too sensitive, and it's best to start a little bit inside Gryffindor.

It will be further scaled up when everyone realizes that nothing can be learned from Umbridge.

Finally, the classmates were full of food and drink, the sound of the auditorium grew louder and louder, and everyone was a little sleepy.

At this point Dumbledore stood up again.

The speech stopped immediately and everyone turned their faces towards the principal.

“Well, since we're digesting another delicious meal, I'd like to ask you to be quiet and listen to my usual notes for the new semester. Dumbledore said," Freshmen in the first year should know that the forbidden forests in the hunting grounds are not accessible to students. This is something that several of our senior classmates should know by now. ”

“Also, the administrator, Mr. Felch, has asked me, and he has told me that this has already happened 426 times, to remind all of you that magic is not allowed in the corridors during classes, and that there are many other rules that are on that long list, affixed to the door of Mr. Felch's office. ”

Almost all of that list is forbidden to carry, well over 30,000.

Almost all of Fred and George's jokes have been added in the last year, and fortunately Felch has yet to figure out that the new prank product is a brand made entirely of his most repugnant Weasley twins.

By the time he knows that, he'll probably have all Weasley jokes on his list of contraband items.

“There have been two changes in our teaching staff this year. We are delighted that she welcomes Professor Grappland back, and she will teach you about the protection of magical creatures. We are equally pleased to introduce Professor Umbridge, the new teacher of our Defense Against the Dark Arts class. ”

There was a polite, but not very enthusiastic applause in the auditorium, and everyone seemed to think Umbridge was terrible.

As for Professor Grappland, she is too old to be taught for long, only to replace Hagrid for the time being.

When the applause stopped, Dumbledore continued, “The College Quiddich team will be selected…”

He paused and looked at Professor Umbridge questionably.

Since she stood up not much taller than she was sitting down, she asked no one why Dumbledore suddenly stopped talking, listening only to Professor Umbridge clear his voice, "Cough, cough. ”

Now you know she's up and about to make a speech.

Dumbledore was just a flash of surprise, and then he sat down agile and focused on Professor Umbridge, seemingly eager to hear her speak, while the other teachers did not mask their surprises so cleverly.

Professor Sprout's eyebrows were almost in her fluttering hair, and Professor McGonagall held his mouth so tight that it had never happened before, and Snape was shady, as if Umbridge owed him a lot of money.

In fact, no new teacher has ever interrupted Dumbledore's speech before, and this has never happened.

Many students are laughing in the dark, and this woman obviously doesn't understand Hogwarts' rules.

Only people with Umbridge backgrounds can laugh.

“Thank you, Principal!” Professor Umbridge said with a fake smile, "Thank you for such a warm welcome. ”

Her voice was tall and pointy, and she had a voice, like that of a little girl, that sounded disgusting.

Umbridge is young, and Ivan wants to know how she makes that sound. Is it a phony sound?

And her style of clothing, that plush pink cardigan, is uncomfortable.

But the most unacceptable thing is her unspeakable temperament, which is annoying.

Given her background and character, it's even more annoying!

“Cough, cough!” Umbridge coughed a few times softly, cleared his voice and continued down, “Well, I must say, it's great to be back at Hogwarts! ”

She grinned and revealed her pointy teeth.

“It's great to see these happy little faces looking up at me! ”

Ivan can be sure that none of the thousands of faces in the auditorium except her are pleasant.

Instead, they all looked surprised that someone actually thought of them as five-year-olds.

“I am anxious to get to know you all soon and I am sure we will be very good friends! ”

The classmates listened to this and exchanged their eyes with each other, and some of them almost uncovered a bad smile.

“I'll be friends with her as long as I don't borrow her cardigan.” Parvati whispered to Lavender that both laughed silently.

Professor Umbridge cleared her voice again, and as she continued to speak, some of the voices in her voice could not be heard.

Now, her voice became much more serious, and her words were dry, as if those words had already been remembered in her heart.

“To be honest, the Ministry of Magic has always considered it very important to educate young wizards. Some of your innate valuable talents may be fruitless if not cultivated and practiced under careful guidance. The ancient art unique to the magic world must be passed down from generation to generation, or it will disappear. The precious treasures of magic accumulated by our ancestors must be protected, supplemented and refined by those who are fortunate enough to pursue a noble educational profession. ”
