“Harry!” Hermione shouted disturbingly that his metaphor was inappropriate.

Think about it, judging a person's good and bad can't really be judged by whether they resist black magic or not.

Magic itself does not distinguish between righteousness and wickedness, let alone become a criterion for dividing the crowd.

For example, Salazar Slytherin, who is well versed in black magic, is undoubtedly the most feared enemy of all black wizards.

It has nothing to do with what kind of magic is used. The key is a person's inner heart and integrity. Snape knows a lot of dark magic, but he doesn't mean to be a good person. Much of what he does is really great, silent guardianship and devotion in the dark, in a way, much greater than James.

He did not sacrifice his life to resist Voldemort, but living is far more difficult than dying.

Of course, it is simply impossible to want Sirius to admit that Snape is a good man and that Snape is stronger than James. His feelings do not allow this, and his aversion to Snape has risen to the level of instinct.

To be fair, Harry's father, James and Snape, had their own shortcomings, but they were all very good.
