Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 1404 The Riddle Story

“Professor, did you find a location on the Elvish Home?” Ivan asked.

In the past Christmas holiday, he had no idea how much material he had gone through, but Dumbledore had much more information than he had, and there was definitely a way.

Since he brought it up, there must be a clue.

So, where the hell is the Elvish Home?

“There is some intelligence, and coincidentally, because of the course, I recently refreshed my memories and found some very interesting information in them that I neglected before.” Dumbledore said, "I think this information will help us find a home where the elves once lived. ”

Ivan stunned for a moment and didn't expect Dumbledore to mention the course and the memories.

His lessons and memories are all related to Voldemort's past experiences. Is there any information hidden inside about his home for the elves?

“Evan, I was a little inspired by your earlier search for the secret treasure keys left behind by the four founders of Hogwarts, so I took a closer look at my memories and really found a few things.” Dumbledore continues, "You'll see when you finish that memory, but before we do, we have three important memories to look at, which is why I asked you to come earlier tonight. Oh, yes, one of these three memories, as you've seen, comes from Tom Riddle's uncle, Muffin, about him and Riddle; the other comes from me, about what happened that night when we found the ring. These memories are all important, and I think Harry should have a look at them again. It helps him understand Voldemort. ”

Knowing Voldemort, Ivan thinks it might be better to have 15-year-old Riddle show up.

The next second, with Dumbledore's movements, Ivan's eyes fell on his right hand, full of spells.

And that black ring, it seems, is the center of these dark green magic spells.

“In short, all four of the memories we're looking at tonight are related to Tom Riddle, and the last one will surprise us unexpectedly, but we need to track down Tom Riddle's story in chronological order.” Dumbledore said, "Last time we spoke, he was about to cross the Hogwarts threshold. You probably remember how excited he was to hear that he was a wizard, and his refusal to allow me to accompany him to Diagonal Alley, and I warned him not to continue stealing after school. ”

“Then the new school year began, and Tom Riddle came to school, a quiet boy in a second-hand robe, lined up with other freshmen for a branch ceremony. The cap almost hit his head and divided him into Slytherin College.” Dumbledore continued, waving his spell-filled right hand backwards, pointing to the old branch hat that remained motionless on his overhead shelf, "I don't know when Riddle learned that the academy's famous founder would have snake cavities, well, if I had guessed, maybe that night at the branch. The news must have excited him and increased his complacency. ”

“Perhaps he intimidated or admired Slytherin's classmates in the public lounge, a gift that was particularly revered at Slytherin College, but that was not conveyed to the faculty. His appearance did not reveal any arrogance or aggressiveness, and as an extraordinarily qualified and handsome orphan, he naturally attracted the attention and sympathy of teachers almost immediately upon arrival at school. He seemed polite, quiet, modest, thirsty for knowledge, and almost everyone was impressed with him, even some of the faculty members who had always had an aversion to Slytherin College. ”

“So you didn't tell them what you looked like when you met him at the orphanage? ”

“No,” Dumbledore said, "although he had never expressed remorse, perhaps he had some self-blame for his previous actions and was determined to be a new man, and I chose to give him this opportunity. ”

Dumbledore is tolerant of other people's mistakes, provided of course he is willing to believe you.

That is, then Tom Riddle was temporarily trusted by Dumbledore.

Dumbledore believed him, probably because of his age, when Riddle was only eleven.

An 11-year-old boy, where can it go worse?!

I'm afraid no one will think that there will be a day when he will become the Dark Lord...

“He came to Hogwarts…” Dumbledore stopped and looked at Harry questionably.

“Well, I'm sorry to interrupt, Professor!” Harry said, because what Dumbledore had just said proved once again that he trusted others in the past, despite the overwhelming tone that those people were not worthy of trust, which reminded Harry once again of Snape and...

“But you don't really believe in Riddle, do you? He once said, the Riddle in the diary said," Dumbledore never seemed to like me as much as the other teachers. ”

“I do not unconditionally believe that he is worthy of trust.” Dumbledore said, "I told you last time, I decided to keep an eye on him, and I did the same. I can't say that I found a lot from the very beginning of the observation, and he was very alert to me. To be honest, I believe he sensed that he spoke a little too much to me in the excitement of finding out who he really was. He was careful not to expose so much anymore, but he could not take back what he had missed in excitement or what Mrs. Cole had revealed to me. However, he was wise not to confuse me as many colleagues as the corporate images had confused me. ”

Riddle must have felt the difference between Dumbledore and the other professors, knowing that he was dangerous.

There's nothing to be confused about, he doesn't even dare approach Dumbledore easily.

“In short, Riddle was doing well in school, and soon he caged a bunch of friends around him who were obedient and devastated, and I said this because there were no better words, but I've mentioned that Riddle definitely had no feelings for them. Dumbledore went on to say," These people form a dark force in the castle, and their composition is complex, the weak seek refuge, the ambitious want some power, and the sexually cruel are attracted by a leader who can teach them a higher form of cruelty. In other words, they were the predecessors of the Death Eaters, some of whom really became the first to leave Hogwarts. ”

“From the information I later learned, Riddle had tight control over them, and these people had never been found guilty of public misconduct, and although there had been many vicious incidents in Hogwarts during their seven years at school, none of them had been definitively associated with them. One of the most serious, of course, was the opening of the Chamber of Secrets, which resulted in the death of a girl. As you know, Hagrid was wronged in this case...”
