Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 1567: Dumbledore Light Extinguishers

Five men crossed the crowded kitchen into the shabby living room and Scrimgeour remained silent.

Though the garden shows a gentle golden evening, the living room is already dark.

Evan waved his wand at the oil lights as he entered the house and they let out the light, illuminating this dilapidated yet comfortable room.

Skringer sat on the soft, recessed armchair that Mr. Weasley usually sat on, and Ivan, Harry, Ron and Hermione had to sit on the couch one by one. As soon as they sat down, Skringer spoke.

“I have a few questions for the four of you, and I think it's best to start with Mr. Ron Weasley one by one, the three of you…” He points to Ivan, Harry and Hermione, "go upstairs and wait, I'll talk to Ron first. ”

“We're not going anywhere.” Harry said, "Either talk with us or don't talk about one. ”

“Well, Mr. Minister, what we can tell you, it was all over at Dumbledore's funeral, and I don't see the need to talk to one of us alone.” Evan said Hermione was trying so hard to get around, "I think you should know that too, since you should have something special for us this time, is it about Dumbledore? If so, then join us. ”

Scrimgeour looked at them with cold, gazed eyes and seemed to be considering whether hostility was worth disclosing so early.

“Well, let's talk about it.” He shrugged his shoulders and cleared his voice, "I'm here to make sure it has something to do with Abbs Dumbledore, but not all of it, let's just say one thing, first of all, I think you know that Dumbledore left a will that mentions the four of you. ”

Dumbledore's will, it looks like he left it before.

Apart from Ivan, nobody expected that, and Harry and Ron looked at each other in the face and wrote "I don't know” on their faces.

“What a surprise! Didn't you realize Dumbledore left us something?” Skringer captured the look on their faces.

“Me and us both?” Ron said, "Me and Hermione, too? ”

“Yes, all of you...”

Scrimgeour didn't finish, Harry interrupted him.

“Dumbledore has been away for over a month, why is it taking so long to give us what he has left us? ”

“'Cause I'm gonna check what he left to make sure..." Scrimgeour coldly said.

“You have no right to do this!” Hermione immediately said that the voice was a little shaky.

“Of course I have the right.” Skringer scornfully said, "Under the Due Forfeiture of Materials Act, the Ministry of Magic has the power to forfeit what is involved in the will...”

“That law was enacted to prevent wizards from transferring dark magic supplies. Hermione said," The Ministry of Magic should have conclusive evidence that the deceased's things are illegal to confiscate them! Are you saying you think Dumbledore wants to leave us something evil? ”

“Do you intend to pursue the profession of magic law in the future, Miss Granger?” Scrimgeour asked.

“No.” Hermione counter-lipped, “I hope to do some good in the world! ”

“I don't understand. Now why did you decide to let us get our stuff? Can't find an excuse to hold them?” Harry asked politely.

“No, because the deadline of thirty-one days has expired.” Hermione said, "They can't hold on for longer than this unless they can prove that something is dangerous...”

That seems to be the case, but insisting on this kind of thing is pointless, Ivan said in due course, "Since Dumbledore has left us with four things and has reached the period of detention stipulated in the Act on the Proper Confiscation of Materials, please give them to us, Mr. Minister, and I understand that is correct? ”

“No, I don't think it's that simple, Evan!” Skringer shook his head and said, "The Ministry of Magic has plenty of reasons to question Dumbledore's purpose in doing this. It's too much. Can you say, for example, that you're close to Dumbledore, Ron? ”

Suddenly named, Ron looked surprised.

“Me? No, not very intimate. I don't have much contact with him. It's always Evan or Harry...”

Hermione slammed him with his elbow, prompting him to shut up. I really don't know where Ron's temper was with Harry and Ginny this afternoon. Now he's completely panicked when faced with Skringer, and Ron shuts up, but the harm has been done: Skringer seems to have heard what he expects and needs.

And he jumped at Ron like a hungry bird, and he said, "If you're not very close to Dumbledore, how do you explain that he left you a gift in his will? According to his will, he bequeathed something to several people, all of whom were his best friends in life, except you. The vast majority of his possessions, all his private libraries, his magic apparatus and other personal property... were left to Hogwarts. Why do you think he looked at you differently? ”

Dumbledore is not really dead, he will come back, naturally he does not have to give everything to others.

Of course, if he did die, he wouldn't have left most of it to Hogwarts.

Skringer's words directly questioned Ron, and he looked at Ivan, Harry, Hermione, and said, “I... I don't know, I, I just said we weren't very close. Actually, I mean, I think he liked me a lot...”

“You're too modest. He likes you very much, Ron! ”

“Yes, he cares about you. He's mentioned you more than once. I don't think it's a problem for Dumbledore to leave Ron a little gift in his will.” Ivan said of course he knew Dumbledore didn't value Ron very much, he didn't even spend time alone with Ron, but the important thing was that he left behind his will and things that he thought would help them, otherwise he couldn't have done so, "Go on, it doesn't make any sense. Let's be honest, Mr. Minister, what's in the principal's will? ”

Skringer looked at him again for a while, reaching into the cloak and pulling out a drawstring bag, much bigger than the one Hagrid gave Harry.

He pulled a roll of parchment out of it and spread it out to read out loud, "Abbs Percival Woolfrick Brian Dumbledore's will… yes, here… my lights out were left for Ron Bills Weasley, hoping he would remember me when he used them. ’ ”

Skringer pulls one thing out of the bag: it looks like a silver lighter, but this thing can suck all the lights out of a place with just one bounce and then turn it on again. Skringer probed and handed Ron the extinguisher, and Ron took it in his hand and looked at it, staring at it.
