Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Chapter 1670 Towers and Statues

Guided by the ghost, Ivan walked deep into the castle.

Marcus walks along and introduces Ivan to the history of the place, continuing the style of exterior decoration, and the interior structure of Ravenclaw Castle is quite complex and luxurious.

Unlike the simple architectural layout of Hogwarts Castle, the entrance hall reveals the central staircase connecting the aisles of the various floors, and the interior of Ravenclaw Castle is like a maze with many doors, passages and stairs that you don't know where to go.

The corridor extends in all directions until it reaches deep darkness.

The castle is very quiet and seems to have a mysterious atmosphere even in the air. Although many of the actual decorations are long gone, the magic of the past has brought the illusion to Evan's attention to recreate the glory of the castle.

Without considering the occasional blue magic shadows on these phantoms, they appear to be no different from real objects.

If Ivan has any questions about the whole thing, it's this magic that makes ghosts and objects come back.

Ravenclaw's crown undoubtedly activated the magic, but Ivan was not quite clear about the principles.

In his view, this magic is incredible.

Speaking of illusions, not all of them, at the very least, the ghosts are physical, they can act according to their own ideas, and most importantly, it takes enormous magic to complete magic of this magnitude, and where does that energy come from?

This is certainly not the power of the crown, Ravenclaw's crown is less powerful than magic.

Evan was wondering, and the ghost didn't seem to know about it until he walked into Ravenclaw Castle and felt that the magic around him had become more active, and that a powerful energy attracted him in the heart of the castle, where the whole magic came from.

Ravenclaw's crown only activates this magic, which itself rests on something in the heart of the castle.

“Wait, Marcus, this way…” Ivan felt, pointing to a corridor and asking, “What's there? ”

“That direction is the central tower, master, where the library is!” Please go this way, "said Marcus.“ This corridor does not lead directly to the central tower, and there is a secret passage on the third floor of the ballroom, otherwise we will take a large circle towards the tower. ”

“Can't we just go through it?” Ivan asked that he found the castle strangely designed.

It's really weird that there's a simpler, more direct way to get rid of it than to get close enough to build it so complicated.

The point is, in Ivan's view, that building doesn't make any sense.

“Yes, with the exception of a few secret passages, only five towers and a central tower are connected, and it will take us a long time to get around from here.” Marcus explained, "The original designer arranged magic in the castle, so the inner structure of the castle was designed in the form of spell scripts, many passages were strictly limited by magic, and every new arrival here couldn't figure out the direction, but if you stayed here for a long time, you'd be familiar with it...”

“Well, what is the magic of Ravenclaw's ancestors? ”

“It is a powerful defensive magic that is said to resist intruders, and I do not know exactly what magic it is because it is used only when the Ravenclaw family is in crisis.” In fact, as far as I know, no one has ever used this magic, and it's probably just a rumor, "Marcus said. As you can see, this so-called magic didn't work when the family was really in crisis, and the power of the reaper was not resistible by mortal magic. ”

“Well...” Ivan nodded carelessly.

He felt that the magic was not as simple as Marcus said.

Not to mention defensive magic, which is amazing to have so many ghosts and old sights recreated.

Ivan became more interested in the castle's central tower, and what secrets were there besides the library.

Guided by the ghost, Ivan walked up a white marble staircase to the third floor of the ballroom.

All three layers of sidewalls are replaced by hollow suspended windows from which you can see the garden inside the castle outside.

The garden is sandwiched between the exterior of the castle and the main tower, with many statues of various shapes scattered between the dead grass.

Evan stopped again, looking at the tower that soared into the clouds and quickly moved his gaze over the statue in the garden.

The shapes of these statues are all monsters whose shapes are hard to describe...

For example, the figure near the pavilion that looks like the mythical creature Medusa. This woman's hair is made up of countless snakes whose body is twisted. It is not clear whether this is the way it is, or whether it is damaged by the prolonged weathering of the rock. She has eight arms on her body and a snake-tailed body underneath.

This strange creature, Evan, has never seen before, is like a product of some kind of dark magic transformation failure.

Never before, but looking at the statue, Ivan has an unknown sense of familiarity.

The image was not exactly the same, but he almost immediately thought of it as a demonic creation he had previously seen in the temple of the Horseman, although the monsters he had seen were engraved on the walls, and the statues in front of him appeared more three-dimensional and vivid.

Are these statues created by evil gods?

If so, it seems to be getting more and more interesting.

“That's the central tower, master, the summit of the stars... it looks magnificent, doesn't it?” Marcus thought Ivan was looking at the central tower and introduced it with pride, "The tower is thousands of feet tall, it's the tallest building I know, you can't imagine standing on top of it looking at the whole territory, especially climbing to the top, as if it were between the stars...”

“Well, that's great.” Ivan nodded and praised wholeheartedly that the tower was not much tall for those who were accustomed to seeing it soar into the clouds, but considering that it was a miracle at the time, a thousand years ago or earlier.

But Ivan will not be shocked by this height, and of course he will not refute Marcus.

As a ghost of a thousand years ago, Marcus' many perceptions and worldviews remained in the Middle Ages and told him that what was happening in modern society might frighten him.

Just like Hogwarts' magic history teacher, Professor Bins, he couldn't accept anything modern.

Anything and information that had nothing to do with the course he taught seemed to scare him.

After listening to the ghost praise the central tower, Ivan asked himself the question, “Who built the strange statues in the garden below? ”
