I had to urinate, and crawled out of the tent where I had fallen asleep and into the forest.

Normally, I would do it around there, but if Lohse's attendants caught me, it would be too much trouble again, so I would go as far back as I could.

The forest at night is full of darkness. Not a single moonlight was visible due to the thickly-packed trees. It's just like walking through a bottomless swamp. As I'm walking along, scared many times by the occasional cry of a wild bird, like a small animal afraid of the dark night, a red-haired gentleman wearing a black robe suddenly appears from deep within the trees.

I was seriously startled! I thought I was going to pee my pants. This guy wasn't in that carriage, was he? It's true that I've been trying to avoid interacting with people as much as possible lately, but even so, I still remember their faces, even if I don't like them. I was treated so badly in the beginning that it's even more so. This man was not in that carriage. This man was not in the carriage, I'm sure of it. If that's the case, does he live around here?

Oh, um, do you live around here?

My mother, who is a hunter, once told me that there are people who live deep in the mountains to study magic and other things. I'm wearing a robe, and this guy might be one of those types.

I don't see this in the report. So it's an accident or ......

Without answering any of my questions, the red-haired man rubbed his stubble for a while, but

Nah, I don't mind having a little fun without interfering with the plan.

Its face is twisted into an abomination. One look at the face distorted with pleasure, and you can feel a creepy feeling as if your nerves have congealed, and you can't help but retreat.

I'm not afraid to run away. It's not a bad idea to run away. Otherwise, it's going to be boring.

The man snaps his fingers, and multiple beastly eyes and snarls that glow from behind the man.

''Hee!''

A small scream escaped from his mouth as a chill ran through his body, causing blood to flow backwards.

And then the black dog-like beasts that slowly emerge from behind the trees.

There is no doubt about it. This man is in control of these beasts. And from the content of this man's conversation, it's not a joke, it's a fact that he's trying to trick me into thinking he's a dog person.

Why does this always happen to me?

I desperately want to cry and run in a single-minded effort to get away from the beasts behind me.

I can't breathe. My heart hurts. My legs are screaming for me to stop from earlier. Even so, in order to get away from the presence of the countless beasts that are approaching from behind, she is desperately moving her legs.

Because of the gift of [the most incompetent in this world], my legs are slow. I should have been caught up with them immediately, but the black beasts are just following close behind. I think the reason I'm still safe is because ironically, that red-haired man controlling that beast is enjoying the hunting activities of the fox called me.

I don't even know where I'm running anymore. They are chasing me away. A deep fog was now beginning to form around us.

Finally, we come to a small waterfall basin.

Damn! It's a complete dead end. The only thing left to do is to throw yourself into the waterfall. Well, it's still somewhat better than becoming food for that beast.

When I was about to give up, I saw what looked like a slight hollow in the depths of the water flowing down to the surface of the waterfall.

Could you escape from there?

I ran to the back of the waterfall basin with the thought of finding a light in the dark night, and found that it was miraculously like a cave.

Thank goodness. Now I can go on. I continued onward into the cave.

How long had I been running? Already the walls and ceiling of the cave have changed from reddish-brown soil to an artificial stone structure.

Maybe it was only a few minutes, or maybe it was only a few minutes. When my heart, lungs, and legs were at their limit, I saw a light at the end of the passage. Thank God, a way out. But it's supposed to be midnight now.

"What?

When we left the cave, we found ourselves in a wilderness without a single blade of grass or tree. And the sun was shining brightly in the sky.

What's going on here? Before entering the cave it was night. What kind of magic is that, when you go through the cave, it was midday!

Calm down! I'm at the end of my run, and for now, I should find a place to hide.

A place to hide. Looking around, we found ourselves in a space with a radius of about 500 meters surrounded by high cliffs. Around the cliffs, there are some dead trees and what looks like a spring. And at the center of the space, a temple-like structure stood majestically in the middle of the space.

That temple looks like it could be hidden. It's not surprising that those beasts could invade here at any moment. If only they would be a little more confused around the waterfall basin. They are beasts, and they seem to have a good nose. Maybe I wouldn't expect much.

I looked at the entrance to the cave that connects to this place to see if they have entered this place--

You're kidding: ......

The words slipped out of my mouth in astonishment. Naturally. The cave I had come to had been blocked off. To be more precise, it had disappeared without a trace.

I rush over to examine it, but the result is the same. There was no sign of a cave exit anywhere.

I've heard from my hunter mother in the past that there are traps in the ruins where these exits disappear. Maybe this is one of those types of traps.

If that's the case, it might be a convenient way to get by, since they can't get into this place either. I'm a toy for the red-haired man to enjoy hunting. I'm sure they will leave this place if they don't see me for a few days, since it's just a game to them.

Then, all that's left to do is find a way to get out of this place, stay for a few days, and get out of here. That's the best way.

A way out of this place. I think the most suspicious part of this place is the temple. I think we should start our search there.
