They listened to what Lin Tian had to say. Not long afterward, the two young female elders flew away from the Lingxian Sect, while Lin Tian walked back inside.

The moment he stepped into the sect, he noticed something unexpected. The number of his disciples had increased.

He immediately checked his status panel.

[Number of Disciples: 134/99999999999999]

The number had risen dramatically.

Lin Tian’s attention shifted as he activated his Aura Eyes, observing his disciples practicing swordsmanship and cultivating.

The instructors weren’t his five core disciples or An Xiao, but rather disciples who had already spent more than a year training in the sect.

From time to time, Wu Yue would also teach them, though not nearly as often as those senior disciples.

"Lin Tian?" Cao Ying called.

His attention shifted forward. Cao Ying flew out from the main hall and landed in the front courtyard of the sect. Lin Tian walked over to her.

"Are you finished with your business?" Cao Ying asked.

"Not yet. I’m going to the Zhu Clan tomorrow."

"While you were away, the Zhu Clan came looking for you every single day. I didn’t sense any killing intent from them. It seemed they were genuinely just trying to find you," Cao Ying explained.

"That sounds about right. They must be getting desperate."

"What exactly happened between you and them?" Cao Ying asked curiously.

Lin Tian smiled faintly before walking past the front courtyard and climbing the steps into the sect’s main hall.

Talking about the Zhu Clan’s troubles in the courtyard risked being overheard by his disciples. Lin Tian didn’t want to distract them or interrupt their training.

The two of them entered the main hall, where Wu Yue was seated on her own cultivation platform, separate from Lin Tian’s.

As the door opened, Wu Yue paused her cultivation and glanced at him.

"Looks like you managed to come back without getting hurt today," Wu Yue said flatly.

"Thank you, both of you, for watching over my sect while I was away," Lin Tian said.

"You were only gone for a week. It wasn’t a big deal," Wu Yue replied.

She stopped cultivating completely and turned her attention back to him. Rising to her feet, she walked over with the same proud expression she always wore.

"So, what did you gain from your little adventure?"

"Nothing," Lin Tian answered as he walked past Wu Yue and sat down on his cultivation platform, "My trip ended in vain."

"That’s not like you. What exactly were you searching for?" Cao Ying asked.

Lin Tian remained silent for a moment before looking at the two women.

"A... Clone Technique."

"A Clone Technique? What do you need that for?" Wu Yue asked in surprise.

There were many reasons why Lin Tian needed a Clone Technique, but the most important one was to leave his clone behind to remain in the sect and protect it.

That way, his disciples would always think Lin Tian was in the sect, while his real body traveled the world seeking heavenly enlightenment to form his Dao Concept.

"It has to do with my search for heavenly enlightenment."

"I’ll need to leave for a long time... to comprehend the Dao Concept within my heart," Lin Tian replied.

Wu Yue narrowed her eyes before glancing at Cao Ying. Among the three of them, only Cao Ying had reached the Soul Formation Realm. Neither Wu Yue nor Lin Tian had broken through yet.

"I obtained my Volcano Concept from the sect that passed it down to me. Since the Lingxian Sect doesn’t have a Soul Formation cultivator capable of passing down a Dao Concept, leaving is indeed your best option."

"Whether you obtain a Dao Concept by taking someone else’s or by creating your own... I simply hope you’ll create your own," Cao Ying said.

"That would be far better. It would strengthen both your cultivation and your combat ability."

The red-haired woman standing beside Cao Ying nodded in understanding. She finally understood what Cao Ying meant.

Lin Tian had already reached Perfect Nascent Soul and was only half a step away from the Soul Formation Realm.

Until he broke through that bottleneck, further cultivation would accomplish very little. Wu Yue understood exactly why Lin Tian was concerned.

"So you’re trying to obtain a Clone Technique so your clone can remain here and take care of the sect while you travel outside to improve your cultivation."

"Am I right?" Wu Yue asked.

Lin Tian turned toward her and nodded.

"That’s right."

"That’s why the Clone Technique is so important to me."

"But if I remember correctly... clones can only exist for three years," Cao Ying said.

"There is another way," Lin Tian replied.

"What is it?"

He stood up and walked toward the side of the hall, looking at the large fish pond beside the main building, where a pavilion stood quietly at its center.

His gaze slowly lifted toward the cloudless blue sky overhead, illuminated by the bright sunlight.

"My clone has to reach the Nascent Soul Realm... within three years."

"Nascent Soul... in three years?!"

"That’s insane. Completely insane!" Wu Yue exclaimed.

Lin Tian let out a quiet sigh. Wu Yue’s reaction was only natural. Reaching the Nascent Soul Realm in less than a year was difficult—if not outright impossible.

Even so, it was the only way for his clone to develop its own soul and fully control its body and qi.

He was confident that he possessed enough cultivation resources to help his clone advance to the Nascent Soul Realm at an extraordinary speed.

He would also have to rely on Wu Yue’s pill refinement skills to assist every major breakthrough his clone would undergo.

"I’ll need your help as well, Grand Elder Wu," Lin Tian said.

"You want me to refine breakthrough pills for you. Am I right?" Wu Yue asked.

"Only you have the ability to do it. If you’re willing to help me, I’ll give you your freedom," Lin Tian said firmly.

"What do you think?"

Wu Yue fell silent. She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms, carefully weighing whether she could do it and what consequences it might bring.

Lin Tian’s offer of freedom was undeniably tempting. It was a desire she had buried deep inside her heart for a very long time.

However, refining so many pills over the next three years could have a significant impact on both her abilities and her own cultivation.

But success could only be achieved through sacrifice and perseverance. That was the fundamental truth behind every accomplishment.

"Very well. I’ll do it," Wu Yue said, "But you have to promise you’ll remove the restriction from my body."

Lin Tian nodded, "I promise."

"Tomorrow, I have a meeting with the Zhu Clan in Zhu City. So... which one of you wants to come with me?" Lin Tian asked.

To his surprise, both Cao Ying and Wu Yue raised their hands at the exact same time and answered in unison, "I do."

"Huh?"

Lin Tian smiled faintly, "It seems the two of you have gotten quite close lately."

"Very well," Lin Tian said, "Both of you will accompany me tomorrow."
