Chapter 199: CH. 199 | Single-Power of Lingxian Sect
Lin Tian stepped forward, moving past An Yue, his hand rising and clenching into a tight fist.
The power of the black orb began drawing the spiritual energy straight out of the demonic hand.
Everyone watched, stunned. Lin Tian’s power seemed strange, almost incomprehensible, a black orb no bigger than a palm was absorbing the spiritual energy from that massive demonic hand.
The demonic hand attack faded away, fully absorbed, leaving the white haired Yuanmo Sect Leader visibly shaken.
"You? Who are you?!"
Lin Tian didn’t bother with an elaborate response. He simply raised his hand and summoned a spiritual energy orb at his fingertip.
The man raised his own hand and drew his qi orb forward, tearing open a dimensional rift and revealing a significant void dimension behind it.
With a single pointing motion upward, Lin Tian released the demonic hand attack he’d absorbed earlier, sending it straight back at the white haired man.
The man froze in shock, realizing that was his own demonic hand’s power being turned back against him.
He and the other grand elders quickly formed hand seals, activating a thick, powerful energy barrier layered with rune arrays.
BLAST!
A massive explosion erupted from the collision, the force of the demonic hand crashing against the defensive energy wall.
They were sent skidding backward, staggered by the impact. Lin Tian felt it too, but he handled it with ease, thanks to his transformed state.
He swept his hand, forming a protective dome to shield the sect and its disciples from the blast.
They came through unharmed, no injuries, not even a ripple of qi disturbance. All they could do was stand there, stunned by what they’d just witnessed.
"Even if you’re stronger than Mo Shu or Mo Xiu, that doesn’t mean you can beat me."
"Peak Soul Formation alone isn’t nearly enough to threaten me!"
The white haired man narrowed his eyes, staring hard as he took in what was happening. Then he smiled faintly, and let out a loud laugh as he looked the man over.
"So it was you all along, the one who tore apart my grand plan, Fellow Daoist!"
Wu Yue and the others were stunned to hear the Yuanmo Sect Leader say that. She turned to look at Cao Ying, who reacted the exact same way.
Both of them nodded, understanding exactly what it meant, though they were still shocked to realize Lin Tian was the mysterious cultivator all along.
Yun Zhan, Sect Leader of Yuntian, looked just as stunned. Li Qingxue broke into a wide smile, she’d believed all along, from the very start, that Lin Tian could never have died so easily.
"Realizing your grand plan had fallen apart forced you to come here yourself and attack directly. You must be pretty desperate," Lin Tian said.
"We control every inch of land and every trace of spiritual energy across the Qin Kingdom. You and your sect stand no chance against us!" one of the grand elders declared.
Lin Tian fell silent for a moment, recognizing there was truth in what they said.
Nearly the entire Qin Kingdom had fallen under their control, from the smallest villages to the largest sects.
With that much territory under a single sect’s rule, their resources far exceeded anything Lin Tian had imagined.
He finally understood that everything Senior Yun Feng had warned him about was completely true.
Only he, with the inheritance of the Sovereign of the Heavenly Realm, stood a real chance of defeating the Yuanmo Sect.
With resources on that scale, Lin Tian worried this fight against them would turn into an exhausting, drawn out battle.
In a flash of golden light, Lin Tian instantly closed the distance, appearing right in front of the white haired man.
The other grand elders tensed immediately, and Wu Yue and the others rushed over to stand beside Lin Tian.
"I won’t let you or the Yuanmo Sect rule over this land. Letting you succeed would be the same as letting the whole world fall into ruin."
"Seems we simply don’t understand each other, Fellow Daoist. I have to say, I actually like you. Your strength would be a real asset to my sect," the white haired man replied, introducing himself as Mo Zhangzhou.
Lin Tian raised his hand and swept it behind him, channeling his primordial qi to reactivate the sect’s protective rune array, its power now considerably stronger thanks to Lin Tian’s own advancement.
The protective dome flared back to life, shielding the Lingxian Sect once more. An Yue and the other disciples remained there, safe under its cover.
"Master... Lin?" An Yue asked, her smile full of emotion.
"Sorry I was gone so long. But this won’t take long at all, Yue’er."
"I’m going to take down the demon in front of me, fast!"
An Yue smiled and nodded, fully trusting in what Lin Tian had told her. She even said she’d stay behind at the sect and protect it with the strength of every disciple there.
Lin Tian nodded, then shot forward fast, swinging his golden sword. Mo Zhangzhou blocked it with his own black sword.
The clash between the two blades tore open a dimensional crack, shaking the sky, splitting the clouds apart, and unleashing a thunderous roar.
It wasn’t just Lin Tian either. Wu Yue, Cao Ying, An Xiao, Li Qingxue, and Yun Zhan all joined the fight alongside him.
The final battle of the long war against the Yuanmo Sect had begun.
The Nascent Soul masters focused their attacks on the three demon towers.
Lin Tian had made it clear he wanted all three destroyed, since they kept feeding power directly to the Yuanmo Sect’s members.
If they weren’t taken down quickly, he worried their strength would keep growing while the Lingxian Sect Alliance wore itself down from exhaustion.
Elsewhere, Lin Tian stayed locked in combat with Mo Zhangzhou.
The two of them clashed blade against blade, unleashing powerful techniques one after another.
The force of their colliding spiritual energy sent qi shockwaves booming across the sky again and again.
An Yue and the other disciples still at the sect watched the battle unfold. Their hearts pounded, a mix of joy and worry over Lin Tian’s condition.
But from the sheer intensity of the qi radiating off him, they could tell his cultivation base had risen dramatically.
"Will Master Lin be okay?"
An Yue paused for a moment, then nodded firmly. "He’ll be fine."
"He’s not a Nascent Soul cultivator anymore. He’s Soul Formation now."
