Zhu Xian and Si Lingxi followed Lin Tian’s instructions. Along with the others, they made their way down from the mountain peak and arrived at the village, a small place that was still in chaos.

Lin Tian stayed behind on the rocky mountain peak, with no one else keeping him company.

Down in the village, Zhu Xian and Si Lingxi put their powers to work restoring order, repairing buildings, clearing land for farming, and handling everything else that needed doing.

For the villagers who reacted with hostility, Si Lingxi managed to keep them in check using her qi. Change slowly started to take hold.

Si Lingxi was the one with the highest cultivation base among them, so the responsibility of leading everyone through this difficult time fell to her.

She understood how critical it was for the mortals to have enough food. She began putting together a plan to secure food for them, enough to get everyone through until the crisis with the Yuanmo Sect finally settled down.

Up on the rocky mountain peak, Lin Tian tapped his bag of holding and pulled out a set of high grade spirit stones. He used them to cultivate and restore his primordial qi.

He knew the primordial qi in this area was thin and scarce. Relying only on the natural primordial qi around him wouldn’t be nearly effective enough.

That was why he chose to rely on the high grade spirit stones to recover instead. It was the best option available to him for now.

Hundreds of high grade spirit stones floated and spun around him. Lin Tian clenched his fist and shattered them.

The spiritual stones broke apart into fragments, releasing a massive amount of spiritual energy for Lin Tian to absorb.

The flow of spiritual energy from the stones poured into his body. His eyes closed, letting the energy flow through his meridians and settle into him.

Si Lingxi glanced briefly up at the sky, toward the rocky mountain peak. From there, she could see spiritual energy gathering in the air, swirling like a small vortex of wind.

That intensity... that’s clearly coming from high grade spirit stones.

She could make out Lin Tian’s figure up there, absorbing that energy to restore himself. Even so, Si Lingxi understood his needs were far greater, and far more demanding, than her own.

The gap between a Nascent Soul cultivation base and a Soul Formation one was substantial, especially when it came to spiritual qi consumption.

Even with the huge quantity of high grade spirit stones Lin Tian was using, there was no guarantee it would be enough to fully restore him.

Still, Si Lingxi could only hope that Lin Tian would manage to recover relying on those stones alone.

Up on the mountain peak, Lin Tian closed his eyes and let his primordial soul’s awareness stir to life within his dantian sea.

Lin Tian’s primordial soul opened its eyes, and saw clearly a floating island with a golden palace resting atop it.

Unlike the spiritual energy outside his physical body, his primordial soul could sense that the qi aura radiating from the Golden Jade Palace shared characteristics similar to the primordial qi itself.

Maybe... I could restore my strength faster by cultivating there instead.

Lin Tian’s primordial soul flew up into the sky and passed through as the palace gates opened. He sat down cross legged on the wide, circular altar, positioned right at its center.

His hands formed the seal for a technique, activating his cultivation method, and his primordial soul began drawing in the abundant spiritual energy filling the palace.

Now Lin Tian had two separate channels for cultivation. His physical body and meridians absorbed spiritual qi, while his soul absorbed primordial qi.

With two different sources of energy, both in enormous quantities, Lin Tian no longer had to worry about how quickly he could recover.

Five days later.

The absorption of primordial qi came to a stop once his soul had fully recovered. Outside his dantian sea, Lin Tian’s physical body had already fully absorbed every last bit of spiritual qi from the high grade spirit stones.

That spiritual qi had actually run out two days earlier, exhausted faster than expected because of how much energy Lin Tian’s body demanded.

But thanks to the Golden Jade Palace, he was able to finish recovering much faster without needing to rely on spirit stones any further.

His primordial soul’s eyes opened. He looked up and saw a massive amount of primordial qi still gathered in that place, barely diminished at all.

If I only use this palace for cultivation, there shouldn’t be any issue.

But if I start relying on this palace to help me in battle, I’m worried the primordial qi consumption here would be far greater than when I’m just cultivating.

Lin Tian rose from his cross legged position and turned his head toward the palace’s main hall, its entire structure wrapped in golden rune arrays.

The rune array was intricate, unmistakably the work of an ancient array.

But thanks to the inheritance he’d received from Senior Yun Feng, he was able to recognize exactly what kind of ancient array had been used to seal the main hall.

Even so, opening just one of the three ancient arrays sealing the main hall would demand an enormous amount of primordial qi, and he still had other pressing matters to attend to.

I’m honestly curious what’s inside that main hall. But unfortunately, I can’t open it right now.

There are more urgent problems waiting outside than whatever’s sitting inside that main hall.

Once I’ve dealt with the Yuanmo Sect, I’ll come back and try opening one of those three ancient arrays.

His primordial soul’s awareness returned. Lin Tian opened his eyes, and a burst of golden qi rippled out across the entire mountain, shaking the trees, sending leaves flying, and crumbling loose rocks.

His eyes fixed on the valley below, where the mortal village, once consumed by chaos, now looked orderly, clean, and peaceful.

The farmland had been reopened, and the villagers had returned to their daily routines.

The cultivators in the village felt the surge of powerful spiritual energy around them. One of them pointed toward the mountain peak, saying the burst of golden qi had come from there.

Si Lingxi realized what was happening. She opened her eyes at once and hurried outside, with Zhu Xian right behind her.

At the village’s front gate, the two of them watched Lin Tian arrive, his body fully restored.

The qi aura around him was steady and powerful, his clothes neat and proper, his face bright and glowing with health.

Si Lingxi and Zhu Xian approached, clasping their hands together in a respectful greeting to Lin Tian.

"Congratulations, you’ve recovered, Lin Tian," Si Lingxi said.

"I needed to recover fast. There’s another Yuanmo Sect hall I still need to destroy," Lin Tian replied.

"So... you’re going to go attack another demon tower?" Zhu Xian asked. Lin Tian gave a brief nod.

"I sensed something in Mo Xiu’s body that day. The demonic power the Yuanmo Sect members wield comes entirely from sacrificing the life essence of mortals and cultivators," Lin Tian said.

He walked off in another direction, looking toward the rocky mountain where he’d cultivated to restore himself, "If I can destroy every one of their demon tower halls, the Yuanmo Sect’s strength will drop dramatically."

Si Lingxi and Zhu Xian turned to look at each other. They responded with a slow nod, trusting that Lin Tian could pull it off.

"You two stay here. I’ll open a dimensional portal to bring more people here to evacuate."

"Set up a strong formation, use an essence gathering array, and make sure the other cultivators keep up their cultivation," Lin Tian added.

"Sounds like you’re trying to turn this mortal village into a brand new sect, Lin Tian?" Si Lingxi teased.

Lin Tian chuckled softly, then gave a brief nod, "The Lingxian Sect is the only one left standing in the Qin Kingdom. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to start a new one?"
