Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Chapter 225: Most Terrifying in the World

Priam didn’t hesitate for even a second.

The time limit on the Manifestation of the Will of the Heavens ran out, but the destruction didn’t stop. Using his Elemental Wind Physique and forging new Power Runes, he unleashed colossal explosions, plunging the entire planet into absolute chaos.

Fortunately, about 95% of the planet’s surface was covered by deep oceans. There were only two massive continents clustered near the center—an expanse Priam could cross completely in just a matter of minutes.

"..."

In the distance, his family remained frozen in place, paralyzed by the cataclysm unfolding before them. Boey wore a grim expression, haunted by the thought that his own son might have become a monster consumed by bloodlust.

"Don’t think something so foolish, Boey. Our son isn’t like that," Seien interrupted firmly, her voice calm and filled with unwavering confidence. "He has a clear reason for doing all this."

"Yeah! Big Brother is a hero!" the green-eyed little girl exclaimed, bouncing excitedly.

Her red-eyed twin only gave a faint smile, but her eyes shone with pure admiration.

Seien was half right.

Priam really had executed several hundred members of the Pyrix race out of pure rage.

He showed no mercy to the upper ranks of that race, who had eagerly cooperated with the Mage Masters. The traitors’ blood soaked the earth.

But for the rest of the planet, Priam deliberately aimed his attacks at uninhabited regions, creating apocalyptic explosions and devastating earthquakes. He made sure to plant visceral terror into the heart of every inhabitant, making them believe that a God of Death had come to wipe out all life in that world.

---

About two hours passed. At last, silence returned.

Terrified by the threat of imminent annihilation, every Mage on the planet fled in panic toward the great Teleportation Inscriptions, escaping to distant locations.

Priam went through the ghost cities one by one, making sure the evacuation was complete.

The officials responsible for the inscriptions had been the first to flee, leaving the runic formations running only on their remaining energy.

Knowing that, Priam used his understanding of energy flow to secretly insert an Orange Prism into each of the planet’s six Teleportation Inscriptions.

A Red Prism would’ve been enough to keep everything running, but since he didn’t have one, Priam didn’t hesitate to spend a far more valuable resource to make sure the energy wouldn’t run out before the last inhabitant made it through.

Finally, he spread the perception of his Elemental Wind Physique across the forests and deep valleys. Nearly any humanoid presence on the planet’s surface would be detected instantly through the winds.

Almost.

Of course, he wasn’t an omniscient god.

There was still a chance that a few stubborn people or those hiding had stayed behind, but Priam had done absolutely everything within his power.

Satisfied, he quickly returned to his family.

When they saw Priam approaching on the horizon, they noticed he wasn’t alone—he was carrying a woman in his arms.

During his sweep through the cities, he had found Orlaith. He’d sent her a message telling her to wait, and now he was bringing her back safely.

As soon as they landed, Orlaith slipped free from Priam’s arms with an unreadable expression.

That young Mage from before... had transformed into an existence whose power she couldn’t even begin to measure. Being carried by him had left a strange feeling in her chest.

Priam took a deep breath. His instinctive disgust toward women really hadn’t faded in the slightest—he felt it intensely now—but he endured it with every ounce of his will.

"Hurry! We need to leave this planet immediately," Priam said without wasting a second, waving his hand.

The Flying Ship, which had been sitting on the ground in the distance, hadn’t been destroyed since Priam had fought far away from it.

The vessel glided through the air before landing beside the group.

As soon as everyone boarded, Priam took control and launched the ship at maximum speed, heading as far away as possible.

---

Only when the planet had shrunk into nothing more than a tiny point of light against the cosmic backdrop did Priam finally let out the breath he’d been holding, utterly exhausted.

Everything had unfolded in just a little over two hours.

Still, he knew it was only a matter of time before Immortal beings arrived to "investigate" the cataclysm that had taken place there.

By forcing a mass evacuation, Priam had ensured that innocent blood wouldn’t stain his hands during the inevitable purge. If some fool chose to return before the deities arrived... that would no longer be under his control, but left to fate itself.

On top of that, when the Immortals arrived and found an abandoned world, they’d realize the culprit had escaped long ago—reducing the chances that they’d wipe out everyone there for no reason. Or maybe not... after all, there was no predicting the minds of ruthless executioners.

When the ship was already sailing at a safe distance, Priam finally turned around.

On the deck, the five of them were staring at him in complete silence.

He took a deep breath and walked toward them.

"My son!"

The moment she saw him coming, Seien couldn’t hold herself back. She ran over and wrapped him in a desperate, tight embrace, sobbing against the young man’s chest.

Boey’s eyes also turned red. For a moment, he’d been certain he’d never see his son again in this lifetime.

"Mom... Dad... I’m sorry for dragging you into all of this," Priam said, his voice catching with emotion.

"Silly child, what are you saying?" Seien smiled through her tears as she gently pulled back. "Come, meet your little sisters. Since the three of us are probably the only women left of my race, I gave them names that are traditional among my people."

Seien turned and lovingly pointed at the two little girls standing beside her.

"They’re identical, but their eye colors make them easy to tell apart. This one has green eyes like mine. She’s a little naïve, but she learns fast. Her name is Suien."

"And this one has her father’s red eyes. She acts almost exactly like you—always serious and thoughtful, though she’ll suddenly crack a joke out of nowhere sometimes. Her name is Meien."

Seien spoke proudly as she gently guided the two girls forward.

"Suien, Meien... say hello to your big brother. He’s the hero we’ve told you so much about."

"Big Brother..."

The two of them fixed their clear, innocent eyes on Priam. There was still a trace of lingering fear on their little faces, but it was matched by immense, sparkling curiosity.

Neither of them moved right away.

As Priam returned their gaze, he suddenly felt a strange sense of unease stir deep within his chest.

"Why so quiet? Did my brave little girls suddenly get shy?" Seien teased with a gentle smile, amused by the awkwardness of their first meeting.

At that very moment, Priam activated the System and focused on both of their status panels.

Priam read through everything casually, stunned by their three attributes. But...

The very next second, his eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

’Archmage of Inscriptions!’

’Seeress of Flames!’

His heart pounded wildly, as if he’d just seen the most terrifying thing in the world.
