Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Chapter 152: Get Out

Within a few minutes, it became obvious that, although the four wanted as many people as possible, they wouldn’t choose people just to inflate their numbers. Each of the four Super Geniuses had their own preferences and standards.

Slowly, the four began evaluating and choosing who they wanted for their groups. All of them had powerful senses, and with a brief look and a few simple questions, they could tell whether someone was at least acceptable.

After less than half an hour...

Priam was distracted when he noticed a figure turning in his direction and moving.

It was Daraen. She ignored the people in front of her and personally walked over to that small, distant group.

When she arrived a few meters from the group, that figure shifted her gaze to the others beside Priam. Her eyes first passed over Dandara... but quickly moved away, with clear contempt.

Then, she seriously evaluated Flaris and Shione for a few brief seconds.

Before and now, Daraen had one absolute standard when choosing people: only women.

"Ladies, this Lady likes you. Both of your strengths aren’t bad. Join my faction. There’s no need to depend on a bunch of stinking men," Daraen’s disdainful voice sounded, clearly referring to Priam, who was the center of that group.

Priam was a little surprised at first, but her words only made him frown slightly.

Apparently, Daraen considered herself a woman. At that moment, Priam remembered reading something very short back when he was in the Ylisse clan, about the existence of humanoid races that had no gender at birth.

After entering adulthood, these figures could choose their gender by moving the Yin or Yang within their body. Like that, their body would take shape, and in a short time, people of those races would be no different from other ordinary humanoids.

Daraen’s tone was icy, but her beauty emanated an aura of innate pride and greatness. It was as if she were an arrogant peacock. Although she was arrogant, she had the qualities needed to be arrogant, making people feel that her arrogance was simply natural.

"The two of us aren’t interested." Flaris’s answer was equally indifferent.

She spoke for Shione as well, because that was a tactical agreement between them. Seeing this Super Genius so clearly look down on Dandara, if Shione opened her mouth, she would definitely start trouble.

The people around them heard this, completely stunned.

Daraen had come directly to them to invite them because she felt they were worth it. But they actually refused?

"You don’t need to be afraid of anything. If someone is threatening you, just tell me, and I’ll deal with him." Daraen spoke and cast a cold look at Priam, her meaning clear.

Noticing her obvious hostility, Priam became slightly irritated. Why wouldn’t the heavens stop throwing arrogant people who wanted to get beaten in front of him?

He snorted, speaking calmly:

"My temper isn’t the best, so don’t keep asking to be knocked down in front of me. You’ve already been refused, so hurry up and get lost."

After saying that, he clearly felt the surroundings go silent.

Everyone behind them stared at him in shock. Many had looks of worship, while many others showed expressions of delight at his misfortune. There were also some who had been prepared for a show like this from the start and were full of expectation.

The temper of this figure was something all the young Mages born inside the sect knew very well.

"Brat, you dare look down on me? Do you believe me when I say I’ll rip your head off?!" As expected, she frowned, and a cold aura began to emanate from her.

Suddenly, she drew a black bow.

The moment she pulled the string, a black arrow appeared. A dark and terribly dense aura took over the place.

It was pure Yin! And of an extremely high level!

Priam watched, slightly impressed. Until now, he had never encountered a Mage who mastered pure Yin or Yang. In the Mortal Plane, it was practically impossible to learn how to use them directly.

These were the most powerful natural elements, and the five common elements were mixtures of the two.

She drew the arrow, pointing its tip threateningly in Priam’s direction.

Faced with this untouchable Daraen, Priam sighed indifferently:

"We don’t have any past grudges. Because of that, I’ll give you five seconds to lower that. Or be prepared, because I’ll make sure you can’t even take the disciple test anymore."

His words made everyone hold their breath, feeling a chill run down their spines.

Did this young man really want to die?

Daraen’s expression darkened. Her eyes shone with a gloomy light, and all her Ether moved without hesitation. If before she had only been trying to scare him, now she was definitely going to attack with everything she had.

Priam snorted, then thought of the system, ready to activate his power rune.

He wasn’t looking for trouble, but he also wasn’t going to let others mess with him for free.

"That’s enough. Do I need to explain that this is against the rules?"

At that exact moment, Uswyn’s cold voice resounded. Daraen shot Priam a murderous glare, her aura not weakening in the slightest because of Uswyn’s words.

Priam stared back at her. The confidence in his eyes was so absolute that even Daraen began to hesitate.

He was certain he wouldn’t lose. That confidence came from the fact that he had never lost to anyone at the same level. It hadn’t happened before, and he was certain it wouldn’t happen in the future.

Neither of them retreated even half a step.

Daraen’s aura continued to rise.

Priam, on the other hand, merely waited for her to release even the slightest bit of her power so he could go all out, explosively.

The confrontation could erupt at any moment.

But...

"Humph, I’ll let you escape today. Don’t provoke me again, or you won’t be so lucky." Daraen suddenly spoke.

She turned to look at Flaris and Shione. "Men are never trustworthy, and being strong by yourself is the right path."

"I appreciate your kindness, but my Cousin is my training partner, and we push each other to improve together. We both trust each other. As for me... I really can’t trust someone like you." Flaris now spoke in a dry tone, clearly irritated by Daraen’s attitude.

Daraen narrowed her eyes.

"Get the fuck out of here!" At that moment, Shione finally exploded.

"Who do you think you are, trying to steal members from another faction? You think you’re hot shit because you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth? You don’t even look like a real woman, but like some halfway point between a bitch and an effeminate bastard!"

Everyone around them widened their eyes. Daraen was possibly the most shocked. She had never been insulted directly like that, and it took her a moment to react.

When she finally understood what had happened, a strong wind hit her head-on before she could draw her bow.

This forced Daraen to retreat several steps.

When she turned around, she met Uswyn’s sharp gaze.

"If you cause even the slightest problem, I will disqualify you. Is that understood?"

Daraen’s face twisted.

Uswyn snorted. "Yes, I didn’t see any need to say it before, so that fact isn’t your fault. But Priam has also been recognized as a Super Genius by the sect, so he leads his own faction. Stealing members from other factions is taboo, so you’d better avoid it in the future."

Everyone fell silent. As for those four thousand born in the sect, their eyes locked onto Priam.

Where the fuck did this guy come from?
