Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Chapter 212: Ones Responsible

Without hesitating for even a fraction of a second, Priam shot toward the front line.

Halfway there, he activated his Elemental Physique.

A pure aura burst from his body, turning him into a blazing beacon in the middle of the battlefield.

**ROAR!**

Thirty-five Mage Master-level Corrupted Beasts locked their eyes onto him at the same time.

Chaos erupted instantly.

A brutal storm of magical blasts, claws, and destructive projectiles came crashing toward him.

But... the creatures’ lack of intelligence was downright ridiculous. Driven by blind fury, the beasts in the back trampled and tore apart their own allies charging ahead of them.

Priam took full advantage of it, moving like a ghost.

Amid the chaos, he dodged every attack by mere millimeters, leaving behind nothing but afterimages.

Consumed by frenzy, the beasts tried to catch him without the slightest coordination.

The faction held its breath as they watched Priam move as if a blade were pressed against his neck. One tiny mistake, and he would be destroyed.

A few minutes later, once all the beasts were relatively close together...

Priam appeared in the air, directly above them, drawing the attention of the entire horde.

[Use Power Rune?] [Yes / No]

Priam nodded as he spread his arms.

This was a new Power Rune he had only recently learned to create. It was something terrifying, but it could only be used once.

It was called: Mind in Chaos Rune. He only had a handful of herbs that allowed him to create it, so he could only use it in emergencies.

An invisible, silent ripple spread through the space around Priam before crashing down, engulfing all thirty-five beasts in an instant.

The very next second, the creatures’ reality shattered.

Sky and earth flipped upside down. Their entire world began spinning violently inside their minds.

Their fragile minds were easily manipulated by the Power Rune.

Stunned and blinded, every single beast froze in place.

It was the perfect opening.

"NOW!"

Flaris, Shione, and Lumiere roared at the same time.

*SOUL CALAMITY!*

Their Elemental Spirits burned away every last drop of their spiritual essence. At the same time, all three poured every bit of their Ether into the elements they specialized in.

This was a joint technique performed together with their partners, described in the race’s Ancient Art.

The world changed color in the blink of an eye.

Shione unleashed a colossal tsunami of Water fused with the power of the soul.

Flaris released a terrifying blue inferno of Yin Fire and spiritual energy.

Lumiere unleashed an overwhelming storm of pure Fire mixed with the power of the soul.

The three waves of power surged through the air from different directions, crashing straight into the horde.

*RUMBLE!*

The attack crashed down upon the stunned horde like the wrath of the gods. It was unlike anything ordinary Mages had ever seen, a perfect fusion of elemental power and soul power.

But... that alone wouldn’t be enough.

Right in the middle of the crossfire stood Priam. Even as the attacks struck him, he roared without hesitation.

"Rumbling Heavens!"

**KBOOOOOOM!**

A destructive shockwave merged with the Generals’ storm, causing the ground to collapse under an unprecedented force.

The earth shook as the explosion of light swallowed the entire channel.

...

When the smoke and thick dust finally began to clear, silence took over.

There were no more roars. No more threats.

The ground was covered only with twisted, mangled, lifeless corpses. The entire horde had been wiped out.

However... Lumiere, Flaris, and Shione dropped to their knees, breathing heavily.

Their Elemental Spirits had been completely drained, along with every last bit of their Ether. Unfortunately, the recovery zone had been designed to restore only the Mages’ power—not that of their spiritual partners.

After using that ultimate move, they would be without them until everything was over.

Priam quickly appeared in front of his faction, his body glowing faintly beneath an aura of nature energy.

That attack had been a perfect display of synchronization. Priam had drawn in the beasts and shattered their minds; the three of them followed with overwhelming magical force; and Priam finished everything off with raw destructive power.

Could he have won by himself? Yes, but it would have taken far too long. To wipe them all out as quickly as possible, that had been the only viable strategy.

He himself had suffered terrible injuries while standing at the center of it all, but he couldn’t have cared less. Mirra was with him, manipulating nature energy to heal him instantly.

The entire battle had lasted only four minutes.

"Dandara, take care of everything!"

Priam shouted without wasting a single second as he sprinted out of the channel. Right behind him, Shione, Lumiere, and Flaris swallowed recovery pills and forced themselves back to their feet before following him.

They crossed the now-inactive recovery zone and rushed into the neighboring channel.

Even though only four minutes had passed...

The situation in Daraen’s faction was an absolute nightmare.

The metallic stench of fresh blood and exposed entrails filled the air.

The bodies of female Mages were scattered everywhere. They weren’t just dead—they had been horribly mutilated. Thick pools of blood stained the ground crimson.

More than a thousand female Mages had been brutally slaughtered in the blink of an eye.

On the front line, Daraen was fighting sixteen Corrupted Beasts by herself.

She was throwing away her own life and blood to hold back the massacre, but she was already covered in severe wounds, fighting with an expression of helplessness and despair that twisted the heart.

Around her, even though more than two thousand female Mages were still alive, the army’s formation had been completely shattered.

A large number of the female Mages lay on the ground, drenched in their companions’ blood, crying and trembling uncontrollably as they waited for the final blow. It was a scene of pure, raw agony.

Priam felt a sharp pain tear through his chest.

He knew that if he had sent his soldiers to help sooner, he would only have sent them to their deaths. That was why he had burned the irreplaceable power of his Generals to finish everything on his side as fast as possible.

Even so, he still couldn’t prevent this.

"FUCK!"

Priam roared, consumed by blind rage.

He shot forward at the speed of the wind, charging straight into the horde.

The three Generals followed close behind, rushing to rescue the wounded female Mages and help them retreat in desperation.

*Sky-Rending Wind!*

*Rumbling Heavens!*

Priam unleashed his most destructive techniques one after another without the slightest trace of mercy.

A colossal wave of destruction shook both heaven and earth.

He didn’t even try to retreat or avoid the devastating impact of his own techniques. On the contrary, he charged straight through the chaos, striking again and again.

Under the insane force of his own attacks, Priam’s hands burst apart, turning into bloody strips of flesh as blood poured from his mouth.

But in the very next second, Mirra manipulated the power of nature within his body, regenerating the damage instantly at the smallest possible cost.

In just a few minutes, the massacre came to an end.

Priam stood in the middle of the dust, surrounded by the twisted corpses of the beasts, breathing heavily.

The people from the other factions watched everything in stunned disbelief.

Before, they had thought Priam was incredible just because he had defeated one of those Corrupted Beasts...

But the truth was that he could handle a dozen of them by himself...

Maybe even more.

He walked over to Daraen and made a simple gesture.

Mirra immediately stepped in, wrapping the girl in the power of nature and sealing her fatal wounds.

"Thank you..." Daraen murmured in a weak, trembling, completely broken voice.

Priam took a deep breath. With cold eyes, he said flatly,

"Want revenge? I’m going to kill the ones responsible."

Without waiting for an answer, he turned around and strode back down the channel.
