Chapter 95: Want to Kiss, and Want to Kiss Again
Su Zhaozhao’s back was against the wall, and before her stood Xie Huaizheng’s solid, powerful frame.
The man had one hand gripping her chin, his entire body leaning down toward her.
The grim hostility deep in his eyes, like that of a bloodthirsty beast, made Su Zhaozhao tremble.
’He seems really angry.’
’Is it because I didn’t tell him beforehand?’
"Well, I suddenly decided I should make a trip into the city today, so I didn’t have time to let you know. But I already asked Comrade Little Yu to tell you; that if you came looking for me, she would let you know where I went," Su Zhaozhao explained.
’I only went into the city. He can’t be so possessive that he’d forbid me from even doing that, can he?’
When Xie Huaizheng heard Su Zhaozhao’s words, he recalled the panic he’d felt when he came looking for her only to find out she had gone to the city.
The car accident must have left him with some psychological scars.
He truly did not want to reminisce about what happened that night.
He was worried that Su Zhaozhao might encounter a similar situation again.
If she had told him earlier, he would have definitely gone with her.
With him by her side, he could at least have some peace of mind.
He would be able to protect her if any dangerous situations arose.
At that moment, looking into the girl’s beautiful eyes, he saw his own reflection in her dark pupils.
Xie Huaizheng’s Adam’s apple bobbed.
’I really want to kiss her.’
He thought about their previous kisses; almost none of them could be called pleasant.
Either Su Zhaozhao was drunk, or he was angry and couldn’t stop himself from biting her lip, hurting her in the process.
Su Zhaozhao’s unexpected kiss last night wasn’t bad, but it was just a peck, barely worth mentioning.
At this thought, Xie Huaizheng leaned closer to Su Zhaozhao and pressed a kiss to her lips.
Her faint, fresh scent of jasmine made Xie Huaizheng feel as if he were under a spell.
He had only meant to give her a single kiss, but for some reason, he soon found himself losing control.
He parted her lips, delving deep to drink in her sweetness. Sensing the girl’s flustered state, he too became lost in the moment.
’Why are her lips so soft? Her body is soft too, completely different from mine, and she even smells fragrant.’
It made him feel as if he’d been poisoned; in that instant, his reason suddenly crumbled.
Su Zhaozhao had expected Xie Huaizheng to fly into a rage, but she never thought he would just start kissing her.
And this kiss was nothing like the light pecks from before.
It was deep, domineering, and ravishing.
Su Zhaozhao could feel Xie Huaizheng’s breath mingling with hers, fervent and wild.
She tried to pull away, but it was impossible. He held the back of her head, kissing her forcefully.
He kissed her until she could barely breathe.
She had never been this intimate with a man before, let alone with such passion.
Finally, just as Su Zhaozhao felt she was about to pass out, Xie Huaizheng released her.
Her body suddenly free, Su Zhaozhao went limp and stumbled forward.
With quick reflexes, Xie Huaizheng caught her and pulled her back into his arms.
A low chuckle rumbled from above her head. "So delicate? We only kissed for a little while and you’re already like this."
He even gave her cheek a little squeeze.
Resting against Xie Huaizheng’s chest, Su Zhaozhao felt the vibrations as he laughed.
’He’s actually making fun of me!’
Gasping for breath, she couldn’t resist hitting Xie Huaizheng’s chest.
"Don’t you dare laugh at me!"
’What’s wrong with getting like this from a kiss?’
’It was my first time, after all. I don’t have any experience.’
Xie Huaizheng, however, was in a great mood. He smiled and said, "Alright, my fault. If you’re still angry, go ahead and keep hitting me."
After all, Su Zhaozhao’s hits were so weak, like a kitten’s pawing, that to him, it felt more like she was just tickling him.
Su Zhaozhao gave up. Xie Huaizheng’s chest was simply too hard; she felt that hitting him was no different from hitting a rock.
He didn’t feel any pain, but she did.
Once Su Zhaozhao felt her strength return, she pulled away from Xie Huaizheng, walked over to the table, and handed him a gift.
"I went shopping for a bit and bought you something. I hope you like it."
Su Zhaozhao showed Xie Huaizheng what she was holding.
Xie Huaizheng looked. They were socks!
He was a little surprised and couldn’t help raising an eyebrow as he looked at her. "What made you think of giving me socks?"
"Because you’re always training, you wouldn’t be able to wear any clothes I bought for you. But I figured you could always use socks, right?"
She had even bought colors that matched what Xie Huaizheng usually wore, ensuring he would definitely be able to wear them.
There were three pairs in total, all of which she had carefully selected—high-quality, pure cotton socks.
Xie Huaizheng couldn’t help but run his hand over the socks, his thin lips pressing together.
"I don’t think I’ve ever given you anything, except for a few daily necessities at the very beginning."
But back then, he didn’t like her, so those didn’t count as gifts.
Su Zhaozhao waved her hand dismissively. "What’s the big deal? You’re good to me and you gave me money. It’s only right for me to give you a gift in return. It’s just proper etiquette."
"That doesn’t count." ’How can giving money be considered a gift?’ Xie Huaizheng thought.
’Besides, she’s my fiancée. She came all this way to find me. Giving her a little money is the least I should do.’
"But you did give me something, and it’s very precious. I love it," Su Zhaozhao said, still smiling brightly.
"What was that?"
The girl’s eyes were so bright and her voice so soft that Xie Huaizheng found himself looking forward to her answer.
The next moment, Su Zhaozhao’s finger gently poked his chest, right over his heart.
It was just a light touch, but Xie Huaizheng felt his heart begin to beat even faster.
"This, right here," she said. "Xie Huaizheng, you gave me your heart."
Su Zhaozhao’s eyes curved into crescents, her smile sweet.
In that instant, Xie Huaizheng’s mind went completely blank.
His heart was pounding so fast it felt like it was about to burst out of his chest.
Finally, he couldn’t resist pulling her into his arms again, lowering his head, and biting her lips.
He held her body tightly, wishing he could fuse her into his very being.
’What am I going to do?’
’How long has it been? At first, I was thinking about sending Su Zhaozhao away, but now I’m only sinking deeper.’
At last, Xie Huaizheng restrained himself and let Su Zhaozhao go.
"From now on, if you want to go into the city, tell me. I’ll take you."
Su Zhaozhao immediately shook her head. "No, you’re too busy, and I want to have my own freedom, too."
’Of course, he can’t find out that I’m selling things.’
"But..."
"Come on, I know you’re worried about me, but don’t be. I managed to get here all the way from Jiang City, which is so far away. A short trip to the city is nothing, I won’t get into any trouble." Su Zhaozhao did her best to persuade Xie Huaizheng, and finally managed to ease his worries.
As it turned out, the first thing that happened when Xie Huaizheng returned was being summoned to the office by Li Jian Country.
The man, who was usually very stern, looked even more so now.
"Comrade Xie Huaizheng, you’re getting married? Things are moving that fast?"
In his hand was Xie Huaizheng’s marriage application.
Xie Huaizheng saluted Li Jian Country and said, "Sir, my partner and I are very much in love. I’ve given it some thought, and I believe it’s time for us to get married."
"Have you told your grandfather and your parents?"
"They know. In fact, this marriage was arranged by my grandfather."
Xie Huaizheng’s thin lips pressed together. ’Although, I haven’t actually mentioned it to my parents yet.’
’The last time I called, I was still rather dismissive of the whole thing. If I tell them now, they’ll probably just make fun of me.’
’Besides, what does my personal business have to do with my family anyway?’
