Chapter 231 To marry me
He hung up the phone.
Stephan returned to the bedroom and pulled the sleeping figure in his arms close.
He kissed her repeatedly, caressing her body with passion. “My darling, you belong to me. No one can take you away from me!”
When Alana woke up the next day, her whole body ached terribly.
She walked unsteadily, nearly splitting her legs wide open.
Stephan teased her for being delicate and unable to handle him.
Embarrassed, Alana grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. “Do...do you know how big you are?! Who can handle that!”
Stephan caught the pillow, placed it back on the bed, then pulled Alana into a tight embrace and showered her with kisses.
“Thanks for the compliment. Even if you won’t admit it, I know you love my big dick. But don’t I’ll be gentler with you from now on.”
“I’d believe in ghosts before I’d believe you.”
Stephan chuckled softly, pinching her cheek. “You little smart aleck!”
Alana shot him a playful glare. “Can I borrow your phone in a minute? I want to call Eve and ask if she picked up my phone for me when she left the restaurant last night.”
“Sure.”
Stephan reached for his phone and handed it to her.
Alana took the phone and tapped the screen.
The wallpaper that greeted her eyes instantly made her blush.
“You...how could you use this photo as your wallpaper?! Change it right now!”
It was a photo Stephan had sneaked a kiss and taken on the sly.
In the photo, the man was leaning down to kiss her, looking completely lost in the
moment.
She, on the other hand, was blushing, looking adorably shy.
She never expected him to set it as his phone’s screensaver and stare at it every day. Aaaah!
So embarrassing!
Stephan glanced at the photo on his screen and grinned mischievously.
“I’m not changing it. Look at you in that photo...so lost in the kiss, so intoxicated, so enjoying it. I absolutely adore this picture. How could I possibly change it?”
Alana’s embarrassment reached a fever pitch, and her face turned bright red.
“Enough, stop talking about it. Change it right now!”
Stephan curled the corners of his lips. “I won’t change it. Not only do I not want to
change it, but I even want to print this photo out, stick it on the headboard, also put it in my office so I can look at it anytime, anywhere!”
“You!” Alana stamped her foot, overcome with shame and indignation.
“Aren’t you afraid someone will see it?”
Stephan looked completely unconcerned. “So what if they see it? If they do, they’ll just be envious and jealous that I have such a beautiful girlfriend, it won’t affect our relationship at all.”
Alana blinked
This guy was getting more and more carried away.
“I don’t care, I’m taking this off!”
“Go ahead. I’ll putt it back later.”
She sighed.
There was just no dealing with him.
“Stephan, you’re so shameless!”
“You love it when I’m shameless with you.”
“I don’t!”
“I don’t believe you!”
“I...”
In the end, Alana was pinned down by Stephan and kissed forcefully, and she immediately calmed down.
With her lips swollen and red, she angrily gave up on changing the wallpaper. Never
mind that...she’d call Eve first and ask her about the phone.
If she kept messing around with him, she’d probably end up unable to even get out of bed.
She entered Eve’s number and dialed.
The phone rang for less than three seconds before it was picked up.
Alana asked impatiently, “Hello, Eve, do you have my phone?”
There was a moment of silence on the other end; no one spoke for a while.
Alana asked in confusion, “Eve?”
A deep, husky male voice answered, like wine that had been left to ferment through the night.
“She’s still asleep.”
Alana jolted. That voice... it was Eve’s boyfriend...
“Oh, I’ll call back later...” Alana hung up the phone, her face flushed bright red.
Stephan stood nearby. Seeing Alana’s reaction, his dark eyes narrowed dangerously. “Why are you blushing?”
“A man’s voice made you blush that much?”
Alana explained, her face flushed, “No, I didn’t expect my best friend’s boyfriend to
answer the phone. I’ve never met this new one, so I felt a little awkward...”
Stephan couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch her flushed cheek, smiling jealously.
“Even if you feel a little awkward, there’s no need to blush.”
“I can’t help it. I guess I’m just...I blush easily.”
Stephan chuckled, not bothering to quibble over such trivialities.
He thought for a moment. “But that voice...it sounded kind of familiar.”
Alana frowned.
What does that mean?
Could it be that Stephan knows Eve’s boyfriend?
That can’t be, can it?
Was the world really that small?
Does everyone end up in the same circle after all?
Before long, Eve called me herself.
It was probably because her boyfriend had told Alana to call her.
Eve sounded like she’d just woken up, her voice was lazy and tired, like a sleepy little kitten, and she was even yawning.
“I’ve got your phone here. You got swept off your feet by a guy yesterday and forgot to grab your phone. Good thing I grabbed it for you, otherwise, you’d have had to buy a new one!”
“Thank you so much. When are you free? I’ll come pick it up.”
Eve grumbled, “Don’t bother. I’ll bring the
phone to your office after work at noon.”
Alana smiled. “Okay, okay, I’ll wait for you. I’ll treat you to lunch!”
“Mm-hmm. Gotta go. I’m exhausted. I’m going to lie down for a bit.”
Alana’s eyes dilated.
Exhausted?
By whom?
Was it the kind of “exhausted” she was thinking of?
The call ended and she handed the phone back to Stephan.
Stephan took his phone back and raised an eyebrow at her. “Your friend’s boyfriend is pretty impressive.”
Alana blushed and muttered instinctively, “You’re pretty impressive too, aren’t you?”
He gave her a half-smile. “Hmm? Who are you saying is pretty impressive? Say it louder...your husband can’t hear you.”
She scolded him shyly, mumbling, “What ‘husband’? Don’t say things like that!”
Stephan said shamelessly, “You’re the one who gave me that title. I’ll call myself whatever I want! Sweetheart, I am your husband!”
Seriously, here he goes again, acting so shameless!
Stephan couldn’t help but cup her flushed cheeks. “My darling, when will you be willing to marry me, hmm?”
Cole’s provocation last night had given him a strong sense of crisis.
It made him even more determined to whisk her home as his wife.
Lure her home and hide her away, so no other men can set their sights on her!
Alana’s eyes flickered slightly, a hint of guilt in her voice. “I’ve already told you, I’m not thinking about marriage right now.”
Stephan chuckled, pinching her cheek between his thumb and forefinger, making her rosy lips look plump and full.
“You’ve been with me this long, and you haven’t considered marrying me?”
“I...”
He seemed to anticipate her response so he frowned and cut her off. “Don’t you dare say you haven’t thought about it! You can say you’re not considering it for now, but you can’t say you’ll never consider it!”
“I don’t care. You need to think about it right now...and decide when you’re going to marry me!”
