And what the heck was going on?

Had her relationship with Stephan become so strong that she could now read his every glance?

That was terrifying.

“Auntie, maybe next time. We have plenty of time anyway.”

Upon hearing Alana say this, Cynthia readily agreed, “You’re right. Once you marry into the Hudson family, we’ll have plenty of time to spend together as mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.”

Alana nodded. “Yes, that’s right.”

Cynthia added, “When I have time, I’ll come visit you too. We can go shopping and eat together.”

“Sure.”

After chatting with Cynthia for a while, Alana was ushered into the car by Stephan.

“Goodbye.”

“Bye. Come visit again next time you have a chance!”

“Okay.”

Alana waved goodbye to Cynthia, feeling a bit reluctant to leave.

To be honest, Cynthia felt more like a mother to her than her own biological mother.

In Cynthia, she found a warmth she hadn’t felt in a long time.

Besides, she really loved Stephan’s family, it was so warm and comforting.

It was something she had never experienced before...

Seeing Alana’s reaction, Stephan chuckled.

“Time to snap out of it... we’re heading home.”

The car gradually drove away.

Alana could no longer see the villa.

She turned her head back and couldn’t help but sigh, “Stephan, I’m so envious of you.”

“What do you envy about me?”

Alana said, “I envy you for having parents like that. I envy you for living in such a loving family.”

These were things she didn’t have, which is why she envied him so much.

Stephan didn’t deny it, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Marry me, and you’ll have all of that.”

Alana couldn’t help but smile. Yes, if she married him, she would become part of his family and share in the wonderful atmosphere of his home. Gradually, Alana realized this wasn’t the way home.

“Where are we going?”

Stephan curved his lips. “I just set up a get-together. I called a few of my friends to hang out. Let’s go over there together.”

Alana was taken aback. “Why the sudden get-together?”

“My girlfriend agreed to marry me today. I have to go show off to them.”

Fine, showing off on social media is one thing, but now he has to go out and show off in real life too.

At that moment, Stephan called out to the friends he’d invited to the gathering... they had no idea what his true intentions were.

They had already arrived at the private room they’d booked in advance, gathering in small groups to drink and chat.

“Hey, what’s up with Stephan today? Why did he suddenly ask us guys out for drinks?”

“Who knows? Probably just heartbroken!”

“Hahaha, if that’s the case, I’m definitely going to make fun of him!”

“Exactly. It’s his own fault for constantly posting lovey-dovey stuff on his social media!”

“Come on, come on, we’ve got a plan. If he shows up later and looks even a little down, we’re all going to give him a good ribbing!”

No sooner had the words left his mouth, Stephan appeared before the crowd, hand in hand with Alana.

“Sorry, there was a bit of traffic on the way. Thanks for waiting.”

Alana, seeing the crowd staring at them, greeted them nervously, “Hello, everyone.”

The group was stunned into silence..

Someone finally snapped out of it. “Wait a minute, Young Master Hudson, you brought your girlfriend here and didn’t even give us a heads-up!”

“Exactly, we weren’t prepared at all.”

“If I’d told you, it wouldn’t have been a surprise.”

The crowd gasped.

A surprise?

More like a shock!

If they’d known Stephan was bringing a woman over, they would’ve brought a date of their own, no matter what!

Stephan led Alana to the sofa, sat her down, and wrapped his arm tightly around her before speaking in a calm, measured tone.

“Today, I have some good news to share with everyone.”

“What good news?”

Stephan looked at Alana, a smile in his eyes, his gaze full of tenderness. “My girlfriend agreed to marry me today.”

Alana was so embarrassed she couldn’t even look at him.

The man’s face, with its bone-deep air of superiority, was clearly brimming with pride.

Meanwhile, the friends standing nearby who heard the news sighed heavily.

Seriously, did this “good news” really require him to call them out specifically just to announce it?

It was one thing to flaunt your romance on social media every day, but you’re not even sparing them in real life, are you?

So they’re just part of this couple’s little game, are they?!

The guys grumbled inwardly but offered their congratulations with forced laughter.

“Hahaha, congratulations!”

“Congratulations to Stephan and his future wife on their upcoming wedding!”

“That’s right, they’ve finally made it!”

Stephan was thoroughly pleased. “Thanks for everyone’s well-wishes. Help yourselves to all the food and drinks, I’m picking up the tab for everything tonight!”

“Alright, alright! Tonight, we’ve gotta give Stephan some face... we’re gonna eat until we’re completely satisfied!”

Stephan scanned the room. “Where’s Gary? How can he not be here when I’m announcing this major life event? That’s just not right.”

“Right, where’s Gary?”

“Gary isn’t going to be absent tonight, is he?”

“No way. Everyone else has been slaughtered like dogs by Gary, there’s no way he’s getting off scot-free!”

The crowd was filled with righteous indignation. Why should Gary be the only one to escape unscathed?

They wouldn’t stand for it!!

“Who’s going to call Gary and give him a piece of our mind?”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the private room door swung open again. They all turned to look and realized it was Gary.

However, he wasn’t alone, he had brought a woman with him.

The woman was strikingly beautiful and tall.

She wore a white chiffon blouse paired with an off-white pencil skirt, a simple, figure-hugging ensemble that exuded a gentle, intellectual beauty.

Gary , meanwhile, wore a white shirt and black dress pants. He had a strikingly handsome face, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs.

At first glance, he seemed to be a good match for the girl.

Gary’s narrow, almond-shaped eyes swept over the stunned crowd, and the corners of his mouth turned up. “Oh, everyone’s here!Sorry I’m late. I was busy keeping a beauty company and didn’t have a moment to spare.”

With that, he pulled the woman beside him, who had been deliberately trying to keep her distance into his arms.

The woman in his arms struggled slightly.

Gary leaned close to her ear, his lips almost brushing against it. “Be a good girl and play along. There’ll be a reward when we get back.”

Hearing this, the woman’s movements slowed.

Stephan and the others looked on in astonishment at Gary and the woman he’d brought with him.

The woman looked completely unfamiliar; Gary had never been seen with her before.

Someone asked boldly, “Gary, where did you find this woman?”

“Is she your new girlfriend?”

Gary raised an eyebrow. “You guess!”

No one dared to speculate wildly. In their circle, many were quite promiscuous in private; few maintained a reputation for purity.

For those who were promiscuous, switching partners every day was no big deal. Changing partners every day, that was at best a casual fling; it doesn’t even qualify as a girlfriend.

Gary wrapped his arm around Laura’s slender waist and walked straight’over to sit in the empty seat next to Stephan.

He crossed his legs, glancing at Stephan and Alana in his arms. “Bro, I knew you’d bring your girlfriend out to show off.”

“Look, mine’s not any worse than yours, is it?”

Hearing this, Stephan shot Gary a disdainful look, as if finding him childish. “My woman is the best in the world, no one can compare.”

“My woman is also the best in the world, no one can compare!”

Stephan took Alana’s small hand in his, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

“The woman I love has agreed to marry me.”

“I...” Gary choked on his words.

That line was a total knockout!
