Helping with Adventurer Party Management

Episode 309: Can't You Be Satisfied With Shoes Alone

The long-standing dream of observing a living monster came true in an unexpected fashion, and a few days after sending a very excited baron to the city, through Anne, there was a call to visit the mansion's atelier at a later date.

"Kind of sounds like you liked it a lot. Baron, I'm totally in the mood for all those creepy paintings in the atelier."

That's Anne's word for delivering a message.

I have only seen the Baron's paintings at the bare stage, but from the popularity of this world, it would be a painting that came by the picture, so from the anne of the aristocratic hobby, I may only be able to appreciate it as creepy.

"So, what do you do? When are you going?

It probably sounds like Anne's voice rushing her visit to the Baron's residence because she's concerned about the negative impact on the progress of shoe production.

There is no denying it to me.

"I'll be there, as soon as I can"

Happy with the answer, Anne casually added, as she hurriedly left the company.

"Oh, and when you come, the captain will be with you. Keep your voice shut. Baron, I think the captain liked it. What the hell are you doing with a bunch of good old men?"

As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to be sowing a way to ask adventurers and a business that dramatically improves adventurers' chances of success, but I don't see the cash right now, so from the worshipper (Anne), maybe I look like I'm playing.

Speaking of which, the last time I was drinking tea with the Baron in the atelier, the reaction of the women was cold.

Just in case, when I asked if I was going to go to Sarah, I got the "this time is good" answer back.

Why.

◇ ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

This is just the right opportunity, so I decide to talk to Jilboa in advance in the office of the Sword Fang Corps.

Because I also wanted to know about Jilboa's prospects.

Even as Jilboa, you felt the need to discuss it with me. I didn't have an appointment, but I was able to meet you lightly.

"That baron is hilarious. With that man's atelier, we're going to see something more interesting."

and Jilboa praised the Baron.

It is rare to describe this man as pointing to people and being funny.

Naturally, it's not just funny because it's about this guy, but I guess there's a calculation behind it.

The rush has become a pain in the ass, so I decided to try to bump my doubts straight from the front for now.

"So I'm talking about working with the Baron on his cause, but what are you going to work with? Is there anything to gain for the Sword Tooth Corps?

Jilboa looked at my face funny for a few seconds before explaining his intentions.

"The Sword Tooth Corps (of which) naturally has a gain. With a painting by the Baron, crusading monsters is easier and helps with training. If we're going to make the regiment bigger, we're going to have to raise rookies who don't have real combat experience. You know or don't know the monster's appearance, behavior, and weaknesses beforehand, it's like they're not efficient."

Information about monsters is power. I wonder if there are as few clans of adventurers who understand and practice it as Jilboa.

I have always thought that the way the Sword Fang soldiers fought was to exorcise and smash them from the front with the monster, but when I saw the goblin hunt the other day, I was noticed the error in that idea.

The Sword Tooth Corps learned about the ecology of goblins, and by using it, they rendered their flock of goblins powerless with little to no fighting.

Knowing a monster allows you to crusade monsters more efficiently.

I suppose that's what Gilbore thinks, what it means to cooperate in the Baron's cause.

Jilboa asked me back.

"So, what's the point of your cooperation? Can't you just be satisfied with your shoes?
