Helping with Adventurer Party Management

Episode 311: The Monster's Picture

A few days later, he was to be taken with Jilboa to visit the Baron's Atelier.

For once, I also had an escort from the Swordtooth Corps, but with Jilboa in the group, I just can't help but see that Jilboa and his entourage, rather than being on my escort.

According to the family who guided me at the Baron's house I visited that way.

"The Baron is in the process of producing his work in the back room"

so we head into the vast space of the blowout we visited before.

Then there was the baron running his brush all the way toward what looked like a canvas.

The canvas, about half the height of a person, had a thin brush specially made by the Baron to depict what looked like a whole picture of a goblin.

Appearance, I had to describe it as because its goblin physical appearance painting had no skin to show the appearance of goblins and was a substitute for a semi-atomical diagram of muscles, guts, and bones depicted in the exfoliation.

To this, just as Jilboa had also lost her words with her eyes open, so I spoke instead.

"Baron, that's what a monster looks like."

Then the baron, who was just writing a cross section of the belly area, raised his face.

"Oh, are you here? Wait. I wanted to hear your thoughts."

And I said with a smile, against the background of an anatomical diagram of the real size.

◇ ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

"This is a goblin diagram, isn't it? It seems to be portrayed in a very unusual format..."

and look at the monster's autopsy drawing and ask the Baron to explain it in a way that Jilboa is bewildered.

"Uhm! The observation line the other day was very meaningful! I never got a chance to see the monster's gut actually moving! What do you say, you draw well?

and the baron points to the anatomical drawing with his nose high.

"And how about this one? That's a gut, but this one's got legs. The foot of a monster named Goblin is really well made, the nails have developed greatly for the small foot, and the soles of the feet are growing biscuits and hard hair. Now you're not even slipping on the rocks, you're not hurting your legs, you're moving. Did you even draw a footprint? Young goblins seem to have thin hair on the soles of their feet, with different shapes of footprints. It's the footprints of the younger ones that still have a cooler shape..."

That's how I happily open up the new findings I get from my observations.

Me and Jilboa were going to spend a lot of time listening only to and turning into a nodding machine about the various desserts, discoveries, such as the anatomy, footprint, and enlarged view of the Goblin and the Demon Wolf drawn by the Baron.

After a few hours or so like that, the Baron has finally settled down the joy that his long-standing desire for research has taken shape and the excitement of being able to communicate it to people.

"So, here's the thing about calling you lords."

And I cut out an errand.

After all, I blinked my eyes because I thought it was a matter of bragging about a painting I could do.
