Helping with Adventurer Party Management

Episode 316: Upcoming Paintings

When it comes to new painting techniques, it's not particularly new.

Paint in the form of a scratch with a steel pen on a flat copper plate and wipe off after applying ink there.

That leaves ink only on the scratched area, so I can print the picture as I drew it when I pressed it against parchment paper and applied pressure. Should be.

When I was in middle school or high school, I remember drawing in art classes.

I feel like I've learned that there are various techniques for copper printing, but I don't really remember.

The painting of the Baron should go well with the technique, as it is a realistic painting based on thin lines rather than overlapping the paint

"Is it like a print?"

Upon hearing my explanation, the Baron also immediately showed understanding.

But I didn't seem so impressed.

For once, there are prints in this world as well.

However, the use is limited to such things as the illustration of the religion of the Book of God, and technically it remains at that level.

Talented paintings and workshops are because they prefer to paint magnificent religious paintings of the diocese.

I do not know the details, but I wonder if the fact that the prints, which are the illustrative treatment of the Book of God, do not receive sufficient remuneration for painting, is relevant.

"It's similar, but you can paint a much more elaborate picture"

By way of example, when I had just come to this world, I looked around trying to get my hands on the printing industry, and it was painful.

It was unreasonable at the time, but now that I've become close to Church officials, such as Priest Nicolo, and I know how the world works, I know exactly how pint-hassled I was at the time.

"One day, I wanted to paint a cathedral and do a masterpiece that touched a lot of eyes."

If you are going to make it as a painting in this world, they say that the best way to do it is to handle religious paintings in the diocese.

Because we have authority, because we have the opportunity to reach the eyes of many, and because we have a large budget.

Building a cathedral costs enormous amounts of construction.

Funding will be provided by the church, as well as donations from local nobles and leading figures.

Naturally, a magnificent religious painting to authorise it is allocated a large budget, and a famous painting workshop works in a general contractor-like system specializing in public works called cathedral construction.

"I believe that handing out booklets and painting there will be a gateway to what we are going to paint"

The illustration of the Book of God, on the other hand, is, I think, a structure that has very little budget for the task of

The Book of God is not for sale in the first place, and even if it were to make a profit, there would only be a minimum profit for preaching.

It would also be a circumstance that the priests write their own books when they are educated, so there is no decent printing industry growing up.

There is no copyright, etc., so there is no mechanism for income to be earned according to the number of copies to the person who painted the picture.

"The Baron's painting will be the forerunner of that flow. The church now has a new mechanism in place. I want to put the Baron's paintings in the flow."

"A new mechanism? Demand something in return?

and the baron looks surprised and asks questions.

From the Baron's point of view, it just seems like he's coming to collect gold by calling it a charity, such as that the church mechanism has to do with his painting.

Different directions, but the perception is not wrong.
