Soon Sarah's here, too, and she's talking to Hisohiso about something with Rodolph.

"But you need a little more evidence. And we need credible witnesses."

With that said, Rodolph has served many parchments.

"Are you taking the village chief's testimony?

"Yes, I have a record."

"What, then, is the testimony of the priest of the church?

"Of course, I have a record"

"Do you have a tax record for the village?

"I don't have the original, but I do have a copy of the record"

So Claudio says confidently.

But if we're going to do something, we need to prepare for the worst case scenario.

"Claudio, if I'm the corrupt deputy, the villagers will either acquire it or decide to end it by being attacked by a monster. That way, the authenticity of the testimony will not be questioned, and in the future, there will be no one to testify."

"No way..."

"Village chiefs and church priests will keep silent with bribes and threats, and I will run into the hostile faction of Priest Nicolo with my money. Don't even destroy your tax records."

Claudio lacks imagination about whether it's because of church-grown youths, lack of training ground experience, and how easy it is for a cornered, stately person to harm civilians, and how vulnerable civilians are to violence and bribery.

and Rodolph defends me from another direction.

"Then I'd like to ask a regiment of swordtooth soldiers. Can you arrange for me to see Lieutenant Swiberry?

"That doesn't have to be the captain?

"Oh, I'm guessing it's the edge of Swivelry (Conne)."

To my request, Rodolph did not hide his surprised expression.
