Helping with Adventurer Party Management

Episode 445: It's Like Being a Bad Guy

Some time after the shoe workshop was operational, new officials gathered.

Start by saying hello and sharing information where everyone is aligned.

"Morning. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the wrongdoing of the former deputies in the new territories has been brought to justice and that they have succeeded in removing the effects of stolen property and corrupt hostile forces. The bad news is we need to make additional plans for that. The bad news is explained here. Claudio, explain the good news."

"Am I?," Claudio asked in surprise, "Oh," he makes me nod.

Sometimes I wanted to know from a third party how that trial showed up, and sometimes I simply had a terrible headache and an explanation.

"Okay," he admits, and Claudio starts explaining.

I even drank some herbal tea and prayed for the headache to leave, thinking about the future.

"... more than that"

When Claudio looked up because he seemed to have finished explaining without hesitation, the new officials were staring at this one.

Somehow uncomfortable.

"What, what's wrong? If I'd reported it, I'd have listened properly."

"No, that's not what I meant. The deputy was impressed that you were able to do something political. I thought you didn't like that."

When Paperino, the clergyman, says, the rest of the new officials, including Sarah, nod yeah, yeah.

"I hate it. But I hate listening to guys who don't like it more. You also do political things so you don't have to listen to someone you don't like. Besides, what is a deputy?"

"Claudio says the former deputy has been dismissed, so the current deputy is Lord Kenji."

"If you ask me, I will."

Until yesterday, he was the next deputy, but from today on, will he officially be the deputy?

Provisional rule would be partitioned by a judge seconded by the Church, but that would be the case as a title.

Until a while ago, I was an unemployed adventurer with bad legs. I didn't know I would be the deputy to rule the territory.

I'm not used to that subtle title and change of position.

I understand that you need to get used to it quickly.

"By the way, do you have any questions"

"Can I ask you one thing?"

It was Rodolph, a former nobleman, who raised his hand.

"It means the former deputy has been dismissed, but I don't think that's the only story that fits when I hear Claudio talk. Could civil servants and leading villagers connected to former deputies also be condemned and dismissed or removed from office?"

"I guess so"

"Then I think the positions and areas we serve will change..."

Have you noticed there?

Rodolph is clouding his words, but in short, doesn't he have more work to do than he does now? is the question.

"I look forward to your work."

As for me, I just have to answer with a full smile.

No heart or it looked like all the new officials as well as Rodolph dropped their shoulders.

I don't know, now it's like I'm not the bad guy.
