Helping with Adventurer Party Management

Episode 557: Pasta Instruments

"Uh, yeah. I'd love to."

Answer as Sarah steps forward and brings her face closer, turning her body slightly against her.

I should have expected this much reaction.

Even for me, I want to respond to Sarah's request, but I'm not sure I can depress pasta noodles by hand.

Mostly boiled dry noodles from the store, and I've had a little touch of the type of pastama scene where I spin the steering wheel at a friend's house invited to a party when it comes to my handmade experience.

"I need a little tool. I've never made my own..."

"Tools! All right! I'll get him for a second!

Shortly after Sarah heard my reply, she flew to the back of the workshop and pulled Gorgogo's arm to bring him in.

"What the hell..."

"You know what! He said Kenji would teach you the tools to hippo the flour!

"Ho."

tools, Gorgogo's face changes when he hears about it.

"Hippo the flour, huh? It's a mechanism I've never heard of."

The very supply of flour is being squeezed, so there is no way that tools can be produced to process it.

It is not particularly hidden, so I will describe it as I draw a diagram on the slab cut there, recalling the experience of the pastama scene.

"To squeeze the flour, you use a stick called a noodle stick. So make the flour into a flat sheet. You know what that is?

"Hmm? I don't know, I don't know..."

"Sarah, can you get me some flour from the office for a second? And a few more clean cloths."

Since the planning of the mill, the flour has been stored in small quantities processed in various stone moulds as samples in the office.

When you lay a clean cloth on the workbench and sprinkle the flour while adding a small amount of water, the discussion of the stiff atmosphere until then becomes more and more like a cooking class. The fact that the participants are men except Sarah also creates a subtle and unconscious atmosphere.

Is it too much for me to feel the gaze of seeing suspicious things, even from the workshop people, wondering what the hell they're doing there?

"This is how you pinch it, you round it up, right? So I use a round stick called a noodle stick to stretch it."

If this happens, I'll just do it.

Reach back and forth over the solidification of the flour with a noodle stick and stretch it into a sheet shape, folding it and stretching it several times, the rectangular sheet of flour can be raised.

"Heh. Kenji, you're pretty clever"

"Well, about this. It's delicious to fold this into bread, but that's not the purpose of this one. Sarah, hold the noodle stick parallel to the ground for a second."

Have Sarah hold the noodle stick and remove the other noodle stick.

"The principle of an instrument that makes pasta is simple. Pinch the sheet of flour with two noodle sticks. Put a hand-wound handle on the end of the noodle stick. Turn the handle and a sheet of flour will be sent out"

I'll put a sheet of flour on top of the noodle stick that Sarah holds and let it slowly go back and forth.

"So I'll leave a lot of thin blades at the exit. Then countless hippos will know the sheets sent out"

"Kenji, there you go!

"No, you have nothing to do with my head..."

I'm happy with Sarah's praise, but I just knew how this works, so it's not like I'm smart.

It is only an idea to the extent that, after flour has been placed on the market, it can only contribute a little to the enrichment of the food culture.

"What do you say? Gorgogo, the principle of an apparatus to hippo wheat is simple, but can it be done?

Looking back to Gorgogo in a light mood, Gorgogo was opening his eyes and shaking his half-open palm as a mess.
