Chapter 700: Conquering the Whole Damn Universe
Just like that, Garion trained Paren for five whole years.
For ordinary cultivators, five years might sound like a long time. Fortunately, time in the greater cosmic universe was viewed very differently from time in the lower worlds.
The scale of life, travel, cultivation, missions, and training was simply much larger.
A few years here could pass as nothing more than a serious preparation period rather than some enormous portion of a person’s life.
For Star Realm beings especially, five years was barely enough time to complete one proper closed-door cultivation session.
Besides, Paren was not some fresh young genius with perfect potential waiting to be developed.
He was a Peak Star Realm manager who had spent far too many years sitting behind a desk, handling documents, managing Astral Cosmic Terminal One, attending meetings, and allowing his physical condition to become shamefully neglected.
Even worse, he could not be compared to Garion.
Garion’s Star Realm foundation was completely abnormal.
His God Physique, [Divine Relic], God Gym training, system-built foundation, and everything else stacked onto his body made him less like a normal Star Realm cultivator and more like a monster wearing the Star Realm label for convenience.
Paren, meanwhile, was simply a normal Peak Star Realm cultivator.
A normal Peak Star Realm cultivator who, according to Garion’s original evaluation, was also physically disappointing.
Because of that, rebuilding him properly took time.
A lot of fucking time.
Five years of full-body strength training, cardio, resistance work, mobility drills, body tempering, recovery meals, disgusting supplements, [Disaster Zones] survival runs, and enough lifting sessions to make Paren seriously question whether having muscles was worth the suffering.
He trained his legs, back, chest, shoulders, arms, core, grip strength, breathing control, endurance, movement, balance, and physical durability.
Squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, pull chains, gravity sled pushes, star-core bench presses, weighted carries, impact-resistance drills, body-tempering cages, cosmic rowing machines, and survival cardio all became regular parts of his daily nightmare.
Slowly but surely, the results began to appear.
Paren’s posture changed first.
His body gradually became stronger, denser, and far more stable. The muscles he had neglected for years finally woke up, his bones became tougher, and the energy circulating through his body flowed with noticeably less waste.
His stamina improved dramatically as well.
By the later years, he could complete several disaster-zone routes without immediately collapsing afterward like some dead office worker who had been thrown into the wilderness against his will.
Of course, none of that meant Paren had suddenly become ridiculously powerful.
Not yet.
Inside the [Divine Training Hall], Garion stood in front of the latest results panel with a thoughtful expression.
Paren waited nearby after finishing a complete full-body gravity circuit.
His breathing was steady.
Unlike five years ago, his arms and legs were no longer trembling like broken pillars after every session, and his posture remained stable even under lingering gravity pressure.
Garion studied the numbers for several seconds before finally nodding. "Good."
Paren looked over. "You can finally handle basic training properly."
Paren’s face immediately darkened. "Basic?"
Garion pointed toward the surrounding equipment. "Light basic training."
Paren stared at him in disbelief. "I trained for five years."
Garion nodded calmly. "Yeah. That’s why you can handle the light basics now."
Paren slowly closed his eyes.
Five years.
Five whole years of suffering like absolute hell.
He had been chased by monsters, crushed under gravity, force-fed supplements that tasted like industrial waste, and trained until nearly every muscle in his body had begged for mercy.
In the end, Garion called all of that preparation for light basic training.
Garion crossed his arms and added more seriously, "Don’t misunderstand. You’ve improved a lot."
Paren opened one eye and looked at him suspiciously.
Garion continued, "Your body is actually quite strong now."
Paren’s expression finally eased a little.
Garion paused. "Not really strong, of course. Just... quite strong."
Paren’s face immediately darkened again.
Garion looked genuinely amused by Paren’s reaction. "What? This is God Gym, not Star Gym."
Paren immediately pointed at him, his finger trembling slightly from irritation. "You..."
Garion completely ignored the accusation and turned his attention back toward the results panel.
Paren’s mouth twitched. "Don’t ignore me right after insulting me."
"I didn’t insult you." Garion casually waved one hand. "I evaluated you."
Paren’s eyebrow twitched even harder. "That is somehow worse."
Garion tapped the floating panel once, closing the physical test results.
His expression gradually shifted from teasing to serious. "Anyway, body training was only the first step."
Paren’s irritation faded slightly when he heard that.
He straightened his posture and looked at Garion more carefully. "What comes next?"
Garion turned toward him. "Now I need to know something much more important."
Paren’s expression became serious as well. "What?"
Garion pointed directly toward his chest. "What kind of [World Seed] do you have?"
Paren paused.
For several seconds, he simply looked at Garion without answering.
Garion crossed his arms. "If I’m going to turn you into a Celestial Realm cultivator, I need to know what your foundation actually looks like first."
Paren’s expression immediately became more cautious. "You want to inspect my [World Seed]?"
Garion rolled his eyes. "Obviously."
Paren frowned. "That isn’t something cultivators normally show to other people so casually."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "You came here because you want God Gym to help you reach the Celestial Realm. If you’re hiding your [World Seed] from me, how the hell am I supposed to help you open it into an [Inner World]?"
Paren fell silent.
Unfortunately, Garion had a point.
The [World Seed] was one of the most important things a Star Realm cultivator possessed.
It was the foundation of everything that could come later.
A cultivator’s path, laws, energy nature, accumulated comprehension, and even the potential structure of their future [Inner World] were all reflected within it.
Allowing another person to inspect it was not something anyone would normally agree to unless there was an enormous amount of trust involved.
Or desperation.
Unfortunately for Paren, he had both.
In the end, he could only release a slow sigh. "Fine."
Garion’s eyes immediately brightened with interest.
Paren raised one hand and closed his eyes.
A deep blue light slowly began flowing outward from the center of his chest.
The surrounding air trembled faintly as the energy gathered in front of him, gradually condensing into a small seed-like sphere.
Garion studied it silently for several seconds.
His expression gradually shifted from curiosity to genuine interest. "Oh?"
He leaned slightly closer. "What an interesting [World Seed]."
