Chapter 712: One Week Until Celestial
Garion noticed the faint tremble coming from inside Paren’s chest and immediately looked amused. "Well, well. Looks like even your [World Seed] is already happy here."
Paren ignored him completely.
He did not have the spare attention to deal with Garion’s nonsense right now.
The world-law pressure around them was far too strong. Every breath felt like inhaling broken fragments of space, storm, gravity, energy, and raw world foundation all at once.
Paren walked toward the center of the floating stone plate and slowly sat down cross-legged.
His expression became calm and focused.
A moment later, the deep blue [World Seed] emerged from his chest and hovered in front of him, glowing like a crystal seed filled with countless compressed patterns and flowing lines.
Paren formed several hand seals.
His cultivation manual began circulating through his body.
A soft blue light spread outward from him.
The nearby world-law fragments reacted almost immediately.
Thin streams of numerous world laws slowly detached from the surrounding convergence and began gathering toward his [World Seed].
At first, everything looked surprisingly stable.
Garion stood nearby with both hands in his pockets, watching the process quietly.
Atlas’s voice sounded inside his mind.
[The reaction is stronger than expected.]
Garion’s attention sharpened slightly.
"Good or bad?"
[Both.]
A second later, Paren’s expression suddenly changed.
The world-law fragments surged toward him far too quickly.
The blue light surrounding his [World Seed] shook violently as several unstable laws collided against its surface.
Faint lines appeared across the crystal seed, looking dangerously close to becoming actual cracks.
Paren’s face immediately turned pale. "Damn..."
The unstable laws continued pressing inward.
Before they could force their way deeper into the [World Seed], purple-black gravity suddenly wrapped around Paren’s entire body.
Garion extended one hand and pulled.
WHOOSH!
Paren was ripped straight out of the law convergence and thrown backward onto another floating stone plate.
He landed heavily, his aura shaking chaotically around him.
"COUGH!"
Paren coughed once and immediately began stabilizing his energy.
Garion walked over with a relaxed expression. "I told you before, didn’t I? I’ll protect you."
Paren looked up at him with obvious irritation while forcing his chaotic energy back under control. "You could have warned me earlier."
Garion answered bluntly, "I did. You ignored me."
Paren stared at him. "You were joking."
Garion shrugged. "Still a warning."
Paren slowly inhaled and turned his attention back toward the dangerous spiral of world laws.
His [World Seed] was still trembling inside his chest.
Yet despite the violent reaction, it had successfully absorbed a tiny trace of external world law.
The attempt had worked.
Barely.
Garion noticed the subtle change immediately and gave an approving nod. "Good."
Paren glanced toward him.
Garion pointed back toward the convergence. "Now go back."
Paren froze. "What?"
Garion raised one hand.
Purple-black gravity immediately wrapped around Paren’s body again. "Second attempt."
Paren’s eyes widened. "Wait..."
Garion pushed his hand forward.
WHOOSH!
Paren shot straight back toward the law convergence before he could finish protesting.
His furious shout echoed throughout the entire [Disaster Zone].
"GARION, YOU BASTARD!"
---
A few months passed just like that.
Garion remained inside the [Disaster Zone] the entire time, personally guarding Paren while he absorbed the chaotic world laws surrounding the massive convergence.
By now, the process had almost become routine.
Paren would enter the center of the law spiral, circulate his cultivation technique, and slowly draw world-law fragments into his [World Seed].
Whenever the laws became too violent...
"Shit!"
WHOOSH!
Garion would immediately pull him out with gravity.
Paren would stabilize himself, recover for a while, and try again.
Sometimes the opposite happened.
The world-law pressure around Paren would become too weak, and Garion would casually raise one hand. "Too slow."
Paren’s eyes widened. "Wait..."
WHOOSH!
Garion pushed him straight back toward the stronger section of the convergence.
"GARION!"
This continued for months.
At first, Paren cursed nearly every single time Garion threw him back in.
Eventually, he stopped wasting the energy.
By that point, getting dragged in and out of a dangerous world-law convergence had somehow become just another part of his training.
His deep blue [World Seed] had also changed noticeably.
It was still a crystal-like seed rather than a true world, but the patterns contained within it had become far denser, clearer, and more complete.
Powerful traces of world laws now circulated through its compressed foundation, intertwining with Paren’s own path, comprehension, and accumulated energy.
The entire seed felt much heavier and more stable than before.
One day, Garion stood on a nearby floating stone with both arms crossed while Paren completed another absorption cycle.
The surrounding law fragments gradually calmed.
Paren slowly opened his eyes.
Garion immediately called out, "How much longer?"
Paren released a long breath. "For what?"
Garion gave him a flat look. "For your [World Seed] to become full enough."
Paren looked inward for several seconds, carefully sensing the condition of the seed inside his body. "It’s close."
Garion raised an eyebrow. "How close?"
Paren hesitated briefly before answering. "Just a little more. At the current rate... I think another week should be enough."
Garion’s expression immediately brightened. "One week?"
Paren nodded seriously. "Approximately. Once the [World Seed] reaches its limit and can no longer absorb more world laws without beginning to transform, I can finally start the real breakthrough."
Garion slowly cracked his knuckles. "Good."
Paren immediately became suspicious. "Why do you look excited?"
Garion pointed toward the violent law convergence in front of them. "Because we’re finally reaching the fun part."
Paren’s face stiffened.
He had already survived months of being thrown into chaotic world laws, nearly cracking his [World Seed] more than once, and getting dragged back out whenever things became too dangerous.
Yet somehow, Garion was calling what came next the fun part.
Paren stared at him for a few seconds before releasing a tired sigh. "That was not reassuring at all."
Paren stared at him for a few seconds before releasing a tired sigh. "That was not reassuring at all."
Garion simply laughed and waved him back toward the convergence. "Just keep cultivating. We’ll worry about the fun part later."
