- Karin point of view

My name is Karin. A few years ago I flew out of my house and flirted around, to name a few, an adventurer who recently finally found a city to settle in. When I say adventurer, it sounds good, but what I'm doing can be just a convenience store. I was miserable when I ran out. I couldn't get a job that would use a sword because I don't have the credibility of a guild, and all I was given was a kid's playmate, a dog walk, moving help and store numbers, many jobs that anyone could but nobody wanted to do. That's how I earned the credibility of my guild, and I've finally gotten a job in action lately.

I've never taught anyone, but I'm good at moving my body, so I could learn how to handle a sword just watching someone fight. It was fast from there. Slime, goblins, etc. could be destroyed alone, and even an oak opponent boasting a strong flesh could not be beaten. My income grew and my nostalgia grew, so I guess I was probably on track. One day I was drunk on alcohol, and at the invitation of an adventurer who was in a pattern to the extent of exchanging greetings, I tried gambling things I wouldn't normally do. Then it was still on here, and I was able to multiply my ex in no time.

I think that was a trap when I thought about it now. If my balance of payments went negative within repeated wins and losses and I struck out into a one-shot battle to get it back... I lost brilliantly. I woke up completely drunk and the adventurer gently said this to me.

"I'll just wait a month for the deadline. If you try to escape, I'll show you this testimony and let the alliances all over the continent know."

Alliances don't intervene in adventurer-to-adventurer troubles, except when a registered adventurer commits a sin or something. There is an immediate chase, and the Alliance itself imposes sanctions. Even if I don't say criminal - I don't think the guild will miss out on adventurers fleeing testified debt. And to say that there will be a chase from the Alliance means that there will be no organization to give you the job. I mean, I lose my income. Debt you can't possibly repay. Running or not, life is over.

"What do I do...... what do I do?

I've been desperate to think on my own, but I can't think of any good hands. It seems that adventurers with some interaction from time to time are on some quest and are absent, and there are no handouts that seem to lend me money without collateral. As much as they liked me, I thought about dying - but I stuck in a critical place. In the end, the conclusion I came to thinking about all night was that there was no twist whatsoever, saying I would pay off my debts with the adventurer's original earnings.

"No matter how much you hunt for near-field demons, you can't catch up. Then... I need to take the rare material from the mighty demon and go home..."

Try spreading the worn out map you always carry around on the table. It contained information about the plants you could take and the demons you met in the area you've been to. I deliberately distract from the familiar part and try to move my gaze towards the edge of the map. There was a picture of a feathered lizard in a shitty painting, written like this in small letters underneath it. "Dragon" and.

Crusade the Dragon - I think that could be said to be the longing of all adventurers. The body of the dragon is a mountain of treasure, and even a piece of scales and shards of nails become materials that are traded at high prices. Besides crusading adventurers are awarded Dragon Slayer titles by the Alliance, and of course various perks can be held by kings as valuable battle forces if they are good.

So the dragon is incredibly strong, and it's not uncommon for a skilled adventurer party to wipe out without being able to do anything with a blow of brace? I'm not going to stand alone against such demons because of how retarded I am. I aim for the Dragon's Nest or around it. They are also creatures, so it is possible that old scales will be replaced. Yes, I'm not going to fight and take it, I'm going to pick up what's falling.

Good hurried and stuffed the used leather bags with light food and water, and I began to move towards the edge of the continent. Use the boarding carriage until you are on your way, then continue on foot. He even took an unpopular path avoiding demons and bandits, kept walking hard even when his legs became sticks, and finally took two weeks to reach the desired mountain.

The food and water I brought was completely gone, but I originally grew up in the countryside, and if I could only find a water field in the mountains, I could be as self-sufficient - it wasn't until less than half a day after I arrived in the mountains that I was reminded that the idea was sweet. This mountain, it's not normal anyway. Even familiar demons like slime were many times stronger than usual, and wildlife was stronger than demons ever fought. This is my first experience of getting stuffy with a kick of a wild rabbit... There are no animals or demons that seem to win, and when it comes to what you eat, it's only about nuts. My strength and energy are draining more and more, and I'm not going to hit the Dragon's Nest. When I was too hungry to walk, and wondered if I was going to die like this anymore - something very fragrant smelled tickled my nose.

When I used my sword instead of a cane, I became obsessed and rushed to the smell. Then there was a beautiful girl like never seen, skewered next to a giant pig, eating an elegant meal in one hand. An immortal beautiful girl and a giant pig who kicks even demons in. Having turned my eyes to that overly distant sight and hunger, he seemed to have lost his mind at some point.

Next thing I knew, I was sleeping in a cabin I didn't know.

"Wake up?

Comfortable voice. I stood in front of my eyes reflexively with a beautiful girl who looked like she was in trouble earlier. Apparently, I had this girl help me. The girl did not hesitate to behave meat to me when I bellied. The first decent meal I've had in a few days was amazing and delicious, and the gravy was overflowing in my mouth, as well as tears of gratitude in my eyes. When I get hungry, I see things I've never questioned before. Is this the kind of girl you live in?

I don't know what to say myself, but I think I'm stronger than a co-adventurer. One-on-one is going to beat a man's adventurer. Even I have no hands or feet on animals living in this mountain like that. Yet... this girl hunted herself. Take this giant pig. As she grabbed the meat while wondering who the hell it was... the girl caught fire at her fingertips and began to broil the meat. Wizard!? There are wizards in my acquaintance as well. But I've never seen anyone use magic without chanting. Can a wizard live in such a dangerous place? - I was so convinced, but I saw another incredible sight and immediately denied my thoughts.

The girl thought I was still hungry and tried to pull the extra meat out of the floor. There's nothing weird about that in itself. No, but the way it was done wasn't normal. Hundreds of kilos are likely chunks of meat. This girl grabbed it with her slender arms like she didn't have any muscles on her, and pulled it up unconstitutionally. I twisted my head trying desperately to sort out the situation in the face of an inadvertent attempt to speak out.

This girl...... too many things unnatural. It's called the power I just showed you or the magic of unchanging, the cuteness you'll never forget once you see this. If a daughter like this lived all over the city, that would definitely be the only rumor I've ever had. The demon is turning into a human...? No, no, isn't that in the boulder? If you're going to kill me, don't go around fooling me, it's up to you to beat me up sooner. That's human. And pretty strong. Looks like you're not a bad guy because you saved my life.

Thinking that far, I thought this was heavenly help. 'Cause in such a dangerous mountain back, you can never normally meet a beautiful girl strong enough to kick the demons and animals lightly. Fate is on my side! I thought so and told her the circumstances and asked for help, and the girl looked terribly nasty. Is that it? My angel looks like a demon. That's crazy. This girl would definitely help me.

Still, when I managed to ask him in, the angel took it on reluctantly. I was obviously a little hurt by the annoying attitude, but I wasn't even in a position to complain, so I kept my mouth shut. The angel's name was Lapis, which was as cute as it looked.

When the night dawned, Lapis took me outside and somehow turned his arm around as he turned behind me. I can't stop being thrilled because I've never had such a beautiful girl hug me. Damn...... I thought I was a normal sexuality, but apparently girls can go too. I quickly ran out of room to think about joking about things like that. Because Lapis, who held me, rose to the sky so fast.

"Khaaaaaaaa!?

My voice flows back at an awesome speed. He's flying! Me, he's flying in the sky now!

"Shut up ~. Will you be quiet for a second?

"So, because this! How are you flying!?

"Huh? There's no wings, so there's a way to fly other than magic?

A frightened voice tickles my ear. Usually that might have been all I was stuck with, but I can't afford that right now. I've heard stories about flying magically, but I've never seen anyone actually do it! I knew she wasn't just this girl! I felt a little sorry for asking someone to help me, and that's when I saw something flying long before us. Is that... Dragon!? Definitely. A distinctive silhouette I've only seen in the material. Scales that glow green all over your body. That must be the weakest green dragon in the dragon. The dragon, which was far away within doing so, is approaching just around the corner. No way, are you motivated even in air combat like this?

"La, mr. Lapis! What do you do!?

"Stop your legs first. 'Cause it's not safe to hold you."

A dragon that I noticed over here has unleashed a roar of intimidation. That being said, it was also in the dossier. The dragon's roar is caged in magic, and if he is weak in will, there are times when he will die or faint. I didn't die of boulders, but I felt so terrified that I was about to pass out. But Lapis, who held me, thought he had approached the dragon without worrying about it, and with a breath he circled over the giant and waved his arms down in momentum.

"Goaaa!?

Moment after moment, a gust of wind blows from Lapis' arm. The dragon caught in it fell in stiffness and was beaten to the ground with tremendous momentum.

"Wait there for a minute. Oh, and then I'll borrow this."

Down on the ground, Lapis pulled his beloved sword out of my hips and ran toward the dragon that was still hanging - I thought in an instant I was reaching the side of the dragon. Too fast! Is that how fast humans can get out!?

"Gaaaa!"

Dragons wielding their nails and tails as they raise the roar of anger. Lapis flashed a sword in his hand with a dragon's neck as he attacked with a light foothold to avoid even stones. Then the dragon's movement stopped perfectly, and the next moment, its huge, heavy looking neck fell to the ground as it sounded ground.

"... Huh?

I wave my sword and pay for the blood paste on my blade. Lapis invites me. As I approached him on a hip-drawn Yochiyochi walk, a giant dragon's head, not even picky, was rolling in front of me.

I should have seen the whole thing with this eye, but it doesn't feel real. My sword doesn't say Namakura, but it's not the kind of business where you can chop off a dragon's neck with a single blow, and I don't think you can do that with Lapis' slender arms. Yet the reality is this. Who the hell is this girl?

"Look. Now you can take all the material you want, right?

"Huh? Yeah, yes. Soudesne......"

I haven't worked my head off yet, so I'm catacotted. When I returned the sword I had received back to my sheath, I pulled the dagger for collection out of my waist and climbed onto the body of the dragon. The dragon's body is so stiff, it's a heavy labor to just peel off one scale. For the first time, the scale in my hand is as sturdy as steel, lighter than a wooden plate. Now I think if you build armor or shields, a semi-productive attack will play easily.

"That should be traded at a high price..."

All dragon bodies are treated as luxury materials. The heart, blood and eyeballs are particularly luxurious. Eating the heart will completely cure any disease, blood will be a nourishing medicine, and eyeballs will be used for far-sighted crystals. But all of this is too big a size, so it was beyond what I could bring home. But it's okay. I can pay my debts even if I just get one scale, and I can take ten of these home, so you can say I make a lot of money. As I packed as much as I could pack it in a bag and jumped off the body of a dragon, I lowered my head to Lapis with a peck.

"Thank you! Now you can pay your debts! Thanks to Mr. Lapis for all of this too!

"... is that good enough? Looks like we still have valuable material."

That's what Lapis says. He looks up at the body of the dragon rolling beside him. My heart and eyeballs are still intact, so I guess you're talking about it.

"I'd really like to take it home, because it's too heavy to carry it"

"Right. By the way, if you pack so much, you won't be able to have food for your return, will you?

"Ah."

I didn't think that far. When I thought about it, I would have been critical to pack food and water in this bag. Damn... I can't go home with this. You see me in trouble with tears, Lapis sighs and spins his arms around my body just like he did earlier.

"Mr. Lapis?

"I'll give you a lift near the city. Then I can just take the material home."

That said, Lapis started flying faster than earlier. Sometimes for the second time, my fear faded a little, and I could afford to see the view flowing at great speed underneath my feet. Walking takes days, but flying in the sky is an instant. I don't know how hard that mountain, that river, had to get over it.

"Awesome......!

I think you'll never know this emotion unless you actually try flying in the sky. Even a king and a nobleman can't afford such a precious experience. The time has come for such a pleasant trip to the sky to come to an end. Because you can see the city where I left off right there. As I pointed to the city, Lapis then lowered her altitude more and more, lowering me a little further away from the city.

"If you're from here, you should be in the city in an hour."

"Oh, thank you! Really, what a thank you..."

"Don't worry about it. It's just a whim. Then I'll go home."

Lapis rises to the sky without waiting for a reply. I raised my voice to her like that in a hurry.

"I will be sure to thank you for this! I'll see you there!

To me waving out loud, Lapis disappeared across the sky waving her hand back. I was gone in no time, and I feel like I was dreaming or even dreaming. But in the bag I carried on my back, it tells me that the scale of the dragon is real. I started walking towards the city when Lapis lowered his head to the disappeared sky and re-carried the leather bag.

"I heard that. You got the dragon scales?

Back in the city I went as far as the adventurer who owes me money on that leg to pay my debts in exchange for my testimony when I was quickly bought out of the Dragon Scale in the Adventurer's Guild. That felt good that you seemed pretty sorry for it.

Having grown a little nostalgic, I was hosting a small feast just for one person on the ground floor of a cheap lodging. Even so, I didn't drink. I punished Boulder for this, so I'm going to quit drinking for the time being. Instead, I ordered one high-value dish after another that I would not normally eat, and had one for its deliciousness. At that time, it was my fellow adventurer, Ciel, who sometimes partied and made quests, who sat face-to-face with me without saying no. She's a valuable wizard. She was always invited to some party, and this time she was also a helper at an extraordinary party. It seems that Ciel was listening to me somewhere like that, and she comes up with herself while ordering liquor for the service.

"Where the hell did you hear that? I didn't tell anyone."

"I'm going to go out there and tell him to keep his mouth shut. It's such a small city, so you'll have inquiries from all over when you get the rare materials."

I twist my head wondering if it's like that. Armorers in weapons stores, then blacksmiths, there will be others, but I think this is the only store I can think of that wants a dragon scale. He would naturally want to order extra once he got it. You couldn't even try to keep it a secret.

"So, where did you get it? You're gonna tell me, aren't you?

…………

I don't want to offend Ciel because he has helped me where I am in danger many times, and even without it, he is a valuable fellow adventurer of his generation. But will you believe this story?

"What? Can't you even tell me?

"I'm not... Okay, I'll talk to you. I swear, I'm not making this up."

After I said no, I started talking. Where I was dying in the mountains, and who helped me. At first it was Ciel, who looked frigid, but as she listened, she looked true, and at the end it was a difficult face.

"- That's why I asked Lapis to carry me this far. You're not lying, are you?

"Oh...... yeah. I'm not doubting anything else. To the magic of flight, a beautiful girl with the skill to drop a dragon in the neck with a single blow, man words? Is that really human?

"I suspected, too, that he was human. Besides, if you were a demon, you wouldn't help me carry me this far, would you?

"That's right..."

Ciel can't seem to believe it either. Even I experienced it, I know Lapis is insane. I can't help but suspect that Ciel just listened to me. Ciel, who had had a difficult face for a while, eventually looked up as if she had come up with something.

"Hey, aren't you willing to go to that guy again? I really want to get the magic of flight! I might be the only one who can say no, so come and get Karin! Please!"

"Yeah!?

I just got back because of you, and you're heading out to that dangerous mountain again? To be honest with you, I'd like to refrain from saying that Ciel, who has always had a mundane attitude, rarely bows his head, and I'd like to thank Lapis properly, too. I can't help it. I want to repay you, which is always helped, and if you have Ciel's magic, you're going to be able to handle it in that mountain.

"I get it. Then I'll go with you. But I don't know if you can teach me magic.

"I'll negotiate that myself! Thanks Karin! I knew we were friends with what we should have!

I began to simulate in my head what souvenirs would please Lapis, bitterly laughing at Ciel, who was in a better mood as soon as possible.
