Osama, by the name of Creek, found himself strong just at first glance. Even so, that means compared to the adventurers I just observed, from old standards, it's no big deal. Probably equivalent to Karin now if it's just the arm of the sword. If Karin could use the moves I taught her, maybe Creek would lose.

Behind the guild was a single door, and when I opened it, I went out into a garden-like place. With so many dolls lined up that mimic the worn out, I think it's where the Alliance officials or adventurers use them to train. Where Creek pointed, there were shelves with swords, spears, axes and bows of all kinds. None of this is for real combat because the blade is crushed. Sounds like a weapon for mock use only.

"Then choose your weapon of choice."

(What can I do...?)

I chose a sword of the right length from it, and I figured out how to break through this exam. It's easy if you just win. No matter how hard you try in Creek, you can't beat me. That's all the difference in strength. But in this case, if you win too flashy, I think it's going to be a hassle later. Creek seems to be a gentle, respectful figure from the people around him, but I don't know how his nature is. This actually sucks if you have a jealous personality. I will continue to work in a small workplace called this guild while my boss snores at me. That's all we have to avoid. I'm scared because it's not a fight, a demon, an assassination, but a relationship.

(If so, how to beat him and let him have flowers too...)

With that said, Creek himself said it earlier. Nothing. He said he didn't have to do it until one of them collapsed. Then it would be enough to meet appropriately to satisfy him.

"Are you ready?

"Yes. Anytime."

"Good luck, Lapis!

"Hold on!

Nodding to Karin and Ciel's support, I put my sword in front of me with both hands and wait for Creek to come out. His weapon is the same sword as mine. As long as it is, there is no difference in the performance of the weapon. It's going to be a pure strength battle.

"Okay...... let's go!

Creek kicks the ground. I'm just guild length on a boulder, just like Karin, who worked out thoroughly in that mountain, or more stepping in. A sword waved down against his shoulder, slightly shifting his body, and swinging his sword at his torso just to fight back.

"Come on!"

Creek who jumped it backwards. But he avoided it in an impossible position, so he was disoriented. I gently stepped into him like that from me and fired a blow from the chase - but now I'm told without difficulty. Creek, who regained his posture, has a different look than he did just now. Tell me you're getting serious, or I feel like I'm running out of room.

"Ha!

A blow from Creek that is waved down with the voice of temper. I took the sharpest attack I've ever seen with a sword in my hand. Kid! A heavy sound of metal hitting each other begins the twist between the sword and the sword.

"Ku...... Gu......!

…………

Looks like Creek is desperately shaped to push off the force, but my sword doesn't even work with Pickle. Because there are too many differences in arm strength.

"Ooh!"

Apparently, Creek decided he couldn't do it with a force push, and now he's stepping left and right, while attacking up and down for his head and legs. I know you have the soul nerve to confuse us with a phantom attack, but it doesn't work that way. I barely moved off the spot and only stared at the looming sword of Creek and took it all. Then the boulder creek also seems to have its limits on health, taking distance and exhaling rough breaths.

"Ha... ha... Shit. I didn't know I'd get my hands and legs this far..."

I can see how many ball-like sweats rose on his forehead and he kept waving his sword to the limit of his strength. But he didn't look a little remorseful, and he had a lucid smile somewhere.

"Pass without complaining. With this skill, we can protect ourselves, and we can seize the impure. Nice to meet you today, Mr. Lapis."

"Ah...... thank you!

"Congratulations!"

"Congratulations, Lapis!

Ciel and Karin jumped at me with momentum down their heads. I can see a natural smile on my face. All I could do was kill a demon, and for the first time, I was able to get a decent job. You can't be happy with this because you got the foothold to be able to live the same life as a normal person. Creek looked at the three of us with a gentle grin as we hugged each other and rejoiced.

"Now, let me introduce you to the work I'll have you do as soon as possible and the people I'll work with. You two, Ciel and Karin, stay back at reception. You can't show an adventurer who's not even an employee inside the guild."

"Okay."

"Lapis, I'll see you later"

I dropped off the two of them waving back and I was taken to the second floor of the guild by Creek. There are several rooms upstairs, the biggest of which I've been put through. When Gachari opened the door, the clerks who were working on the office inside looked at us simultaneously. It seemed to wander by accident, but I stepped on the spot with all my strength in my belly.

"Everybody stop and listen to me for once. I'd like you to meet my new employee. She's Lapis. Lapis, I'm going to ask the Lord to do the reception, but sometimes I'm going to ask you to do some clerical work with me. There will be times when you come out of the country and act out of common sense with all sorts of things, but then I want you to help me do it. Mr. Lapis, introduce yourself."

"Ah... yes"

He pushes his back and leaves one step forward. The tension has made my body harder naturally. Relax... there's nothing like a death fight against the Demon King... I can do it. When I exhaled small Phew...... a little nervousness was relieved. All right, I'm good.

"Nice to meet you all. My name is Lapis. Thank you for your amateur inconvenience."

With that said, Pecori lowered his head, and several officials rose to momentum.

"Nice to meet you!

"Nice to meet you! I'm Kevin! Ask me anything you have trouble with!

"Say hello! You're always welcome to have a daughter as cute as a lady!

I care that all the young men who have embarked on me and greeted me, but I was relieved for the first time that the others gave me back their regards.

"Shall we go to reception next, then? I can't afford to be accepted by the two of us right now. You just met Camille, and Miranda and I are on vacation today. Thank you for coming in."

Surely there must have been no rest in the guild. So you two have been taking turns in reception the whole time...... that's tough. Just like earlier in reception, a woman by the name of Camille was busy working. The counter doesn't look like anything but her. Looks like she's alone with a pushing adventurer. Creek speaks to her like that.

"Camille."

"Guild Master...... I'm sorry, can you give me a minute? I can't get my hands off you right now."

"I know. Keep going."

Until work came to a halt, I was silently observing her work. I simply thought it would be awesome to treat the next and visiting adventurers like flow work. It carries out various tasks without precipitation, such as requesting procedures, registering new adventurers, accepting from clients and paying for materials purchased. I have no idea how long it will take for me to be able to do that.

"Phew...... thank you for waiting Master. Can I talk to you about something?

"Oh. Actually, I was just about to add more new staff. I thought I'd introduce you. Her name is Lapis. You'll be in charge of the same reception as you."

"Is that true!? No, thanks! I've been so busy that I wanted to borrow your cat's hand!

"Wow!?

Embraced by an excited Camille, she is bashed and reluctantly slapped in the back. You're a powerful former adventurer. Escaped from her arms like that, I got familiar and then lowered my head with pepper.

"It's Lapis. Thank you very much."

"Nice to meet you! You're welcome to have a cute little girl like you in!

I was heartbroken by Camille laughing at me for saying that. It looks like a sappy personality, and I think I can do it well with her.

"Then let's get you to work early tomorrow. Lapis, where do you live?

That said, I didn't secure a place to live. What am I gonna do? When I borrowed money from Karin or Ciel for now and wondered if I had no choice but to base the inn for the time being - Ciel, standing beside me, opened her mouth.

"I plan to live in my house for the time being. Lapis, that would be nice, wouldn't it?

"Huh? Ah... yeah"

For a moment I thought about staying in a girl's room, but when I think about it, right now, I'm the perfect woman if the contents are just the look. I don't think there's much difference between borrowing money and living there. It's weird to shy away here, too.

"Right. Then come to the guild first thing tomorrow morning, Mr. Lapis."

"Okay. Now if you'll excuse me."

When I came back to the streets after an alliance surrounded by the noise of the adventurers, I stretched back as much as I could on the spot.

"Ugh..."

It feels good to loosen up a body that was getting stiff. I was nervous, not even in the pattern, and it was my first experience of being born with a decent job interview. It was a different kind of nervousness than the battle, but it was fresh and not bad - to the extent that I seemed to enjoy the interview.

"Good day, Lapis."

"You were magnificent on the boulder. I'm so nervous watching you."

"Thank you both. Thanks to you, I got a job."

When I said that, I was held silently by the two of them with a smile on their face. I don't know, I thought it was a little hot and bitter at first, but I'm starting to hate myself. Did you two impress me?

"Shall we go buy Lapis' daily necessities, then? Don't worry about the price. It's a luxury for me and Karin."

"Huh? No, but..."

"Because it's good, it's good! Let me do that. If I think about what Lapis owes me, I won't give it back to you at all."

I have no words to give back if you say so. I'm thankful to accept the favor of both of you.

§ § §

The city is full of things. Food and drinks, of course, swords, armor, groceries, books, anything you can't find. The two of them took me around to a large store that handled a variety of products, including daily groceries. Inside, a variety of products were displayed, including household goods and clothing. Ciel explains that usually clothing is clothing and groceries are divided into specialty stores that handle each of them in groceries, but this store is a comprehensive store run by the Grand Chamber of Commerce, so they have everything.

"Dishes first. Does Lapis have a favorite color or something?

"Favorite color...... whatever, blue if you want to lift it up strong?

"Shall we then align it with something based on blue? Whatever the knife and fork, make sure the plate is blue and has a cute pattern."

The dishes Ciel chose were made in the same manner as the fine objects he had seen at the Castle Supper. White, light and fragile. They call it porcelain, but it's sappy because it's out of specialty. I was only using dishes made of shredded trees in the mountains, so I'm a little scared to break them.

"Next time you wear it everyday. I need clothes to wear when I'm off work and bedtime, so I have to buy three."

With that said - and look down at the clothes you're wearing. Coarse workmanship with animal skins stitched together, much inferior to those around them. Something's embarrassing me now. Ciel and Karin are toying with me as if I were a dressing doll, and I'm going to bring this and my clothes and let them change. I'm just flirting with the two of us and making my eyes black and white.

"Yeah! That's perfect for Lapis!

"True! You look great!

"Ah... thanks..."

Thank you with a little tweaking. The clothes they chose for me were adorable overall blue-dyed cloths with white embroidery. Work clothes focus on ease of movement for added practicality, while sleeping clothes are robed to wrap the entire body loosely. And everyday clothing seems to be a cuteness priority, with slightly plump sleeves and skirt areas. She's like a lady in a good place.

After shopping, we turned to the city's residential neighborhood with our big bags on our backs. It's not as bad as a ghetto, but it's a neighborhood lined with homes built far from a luxury residential area. Apparently, Ciel's home is here. It took a lot of time for interviews and shopping, so it's getting dark around now. There's a good smell of food coming from the surrounding house and it tickles my nose.

"Welcome to my home! You're welcome, Lapis!

"I'm sorry to bother you"

Ciel peeled her eyes as soon as she went inside after she gave her normal greeting.

"No, no! You're home, aren't you? This is gonna be Lapis' house for a while."

"I... I'm home"

"Great! Welcome back, Lapis!

... Since when do you ask people to say welcome home? When I was a kid, I lost my parents early. I was raised by my grandfather, but I never felt family-like warmth in training. I might not even have been greeted if I did poorly. I'm somewhat happy with what Ciel said about returning home.

A small feast began at Ciel's house. Even so, it's a dinner party that we can't even call a banquet, where we all just eat the food we bought. The meeting between the three of us and that dinner party that the two of us held to celebrate my employment was many times more enjoyable than a feast in a castle surrounded by lavish meals, fine liquors and a beautiful and stunning princess. I've never lived in more than three hundred years knowing that it's such a pleasure for others to labor themselves purely with favor.

As Karin, who lives nearby, returned and slept side by side with Ciel in a narrow bed, the moonlight came from the clouds. Somehow, watching it as it lay asleep, Ciel talked to me thinking she'd been asleep for a while.

"Lapis...... I took you around a lot, but wasn't that annoying?

I look at Ciel sleeping beside me in amazement. Then she frowned in good shape and looked just a little anxious.

"Annoying? Why?

"Because, Lapis, you weren't really willing to get out of the mountain, were you? Yet I feel compelled to take him out..."

Oh, you looked like that - and you smile bitterly.

"I'm not forced to. If I really didn't like it, I wouldn't have gotten out of the mountain no matter what they said. Still, I guess the fact that it came out was asking for a change somewhere in my mind. So I'm thankful to the two of you for giving me the hang-up of a new life. You're not lying, are you?

Niccoli laughed and said so, Ciel exhaled ho like she was relieved.

"Good. Don't worry about it."

"Oh."

The two of us laugh bitterly. Ciel got a little sloppy. When I put my blanket back on, I lay down with my blanket over my head myself.

"Come on, let's get some sleep. Tomorrow's your first day at work."

"Yeah. Good night, Ciel."

"I won't rest, Lapis."

It was my first exhausting and all kinds of tiring day, but the fullness has never been better. Let's do our job from tomorrow - while I thought so, I was falling asleep at some point.
