- Dierian Perspective

You're out of your mind. There have been many times before that I thought so about Lapis, but this time it was just so extreme. A dragon that is distinct among demons. The idea of getting into a dragon's nest where all the dragons that have gained strength over the ages are said to be nesting and fighting dragon kings and their subordinates - I only get the feeling that I'm crazy.

The first dragon's nest I entered was far from what I had imagined. Because many of the giant dragons are supposed to be twisted, because I imagined a rocky, tightly gotten ground, but it was actually a giant temple. Even so, that was a deep story, though of course it was where I imagined it would be until I got there.

"This is the Dragon King's temple. It's been 300 years since I've been in there, but you haven't changed at all."

That's what Lapis said with a look that makes you feel nostalgic somewhere. On the road, she explained to us as she literally kicked through the dragons that crowded her.

"Technically, what we're after is the Temple of the Dragon King, the deepest part of the Dragon's Nest. There are dragon kings livable there, and there are all sorts of tricks in place to keep other creatures from coming in. For example, the air is thinner, gravity is more powerful than normal, and magic is harder to control. But for that matter, I can assure you it's a great place to work out."

Looks like the more I ask, the less I want to go. Lapis defeats a dragon that is far bigger and more vicious than the young dragon that we have struggled to defeat without bitterness. After stepping into the dragon's nest, it was us who had been repeatedly raided and frightened every time, but gradually I was feeling nothing because my senses were getting paralyzed.

If you're a normal adventurer, go ahead and leave the carcass of a dragon that's going to jump, and it was the Dragon King's Temple that finally arrived. I thought it was at the top of the mountain because it's a huge mountain range, but what we got to was deep underground on top of the mountain. Who the hell made it, down a long, long staircase made of marble without a stain, approaching a place where the whole underground emitted a pale light when the light of day and so forth was so invisible. Down the stairs is the magic of light on one side of the wall. But it's the bottom of the ground, but it opened so brightly that it's no different from the day. A giant pillar that is likely to be more than ten times what a single bottle is in a normal temple continues to the back.

While we were overwhelmed by an environment where differences were more pronounced than holiness, we were aware of the changes that had taken place in our bodies.

"Oh, heavy......!

"My breath hurts too...... It may be hard to just breathe..."

"I can't work out my magic well! If you don't concentrate, you can't even use simple magic."

If I hadn't been briefed beforehand, I might have panicked at the time I got here. Unlike us who keep our eyes black and white, Lapis is a cool face as usual. I know it's unreasonable, but I'm getting annoyed.

"There must be dragon kings ahead. They should rarely move, so I think they're probably still here. Shall we hurry?"

Knowing or not how I felt, Lapis, who declared so, walked out without even looking back. We can't wait for them to leave us here, and we rush after them. Then, as we moved forward, our mouth count gradually decreased.

"Something... hasn't made you breathless earlier?

"Yeah... this isn't killer... but it's a great presence"

Respond to Karin's whining. As she said, the direction we were going - that is, from behind the temple, there was a tremendous feeling of pressure. This is probably the sign of the Dragon King, but what about this from within you can't even see him? It's so intense that normal dragons don't even reach under your feet.

Gradually no one talks, only the tricks and just the footsteps echo in the vast temple. I never imagined it would be hard just to move on. I get the illusion that I'm approaching hell every step of the way, and sometimes my legs stop. Apparently that wasn't just me, except for Lapis, who was similar or stopping by.

"I got it."

He came in the deepest part at some point while he was just concentrating on leaning down and walking. In front of me with my face up, there was a single wall gleaming golden. There's supposed to be a dragon king, a wall? Where is the Dragon King? So I looked to the left and right, and the three of them looked up with a look like I'd never seen before. Then I turn up, too, and the moment solidifies. There was still a giant - too giant - head of a dragon in position above the royal castle of the Kingdom of Bordeaux, which was the size of our distant overhead, gazing up. Is that... the Dragon King? And, as soon as I recognize it, I'm attacked by bottomless terror. My body trembles at will, ignoring my will, and the roots of my teeth don't fit. It would be easier if I could pass out. I can't do that either thanks to the mental strength I've built halfway through. Understandable in both instinct and reason. You'll never win that one. Featherworms are the same compared to the demons we've fought before. I can't believe there's such a thing in this world...!

We just tremble without being able to move. Lapis, who stood in front of him, leaves one step forward with no slight upset. I always feel at ease watching that back, but is she scared, too? Or aren't you afraid to put the Dragon King in front of you?

"Long time no see, Estreya"

Contrary to the appearance that seemed likely to knock people out of sight, a serene and gracious voice leaked from the vicious mouth lined with its countless fangs. Estrella... who are you talking about?

"It's been a long time since you've called me that. Dragon King - No, Tiamato"

Lapis replied with a laugh that we couldn't think properly because of fear.
