Even in the temple there are few signs of people, so I didn't have to ask where they were. Looks like they moved into another room after I left the room. Perhaps around Serene has distracted me. You look unfathomable, but you're a pretty attentive guy with that.

I stood in front of one door as I walked down the long hallway, pulling my heavy legs together. Take a deep breath and breathe. I knocked on the door small with my trembling hands, indulging in the urge to escape. Concon...... and when it sounded like I was going to miss hearing that it wasn't a quiet temple, there were signs of someone approaching from inside the room in reaction to it. The door slowly opened in front of me, waiting nervously, and I met Karin, who answered.

"Lapis!?

"Hey...... good evening"

Although I said hello, Karin holds my hand in the mouth, not knowing what to say next.

"Are you okay now? Has the injury healed?

"Ah...... yeah. Because I cured myself."

"Yes... good. Then come in."

Huh? Shortly after I inquired, I was dragged into the room by force. Naturally there were three other people in the room besides Karin, Rubias, Ciel and Dieria, and they surrounded me as if they were going to let me go. They all bowed their heads as they were distracted by the sudden situation and couldn't say anything.

"Uh..."

"I'm sorry. Lapis. I apologize for hurting you."

Again - I made him apologize. There's nothing wrong with them. I should have been calm, but I desperately endure to be about to upset again with that one word.

"... don't apologize. I'm the one who apologizes. So..."

My voice trembles. I glanced up at the ceiling and deluded myself. Don't cry! What are you gonna do with crying in here! He bit his lips hard and clenched his fist so hard that his nails ate in. Once or twice I took a deep breath to calm down and confront them.

"... I want you to listen to the old stories. Who I am and how I look like this."

When I said that quietly, Karin and the others nodded quietly with a strange face.

Not sure what I talked about from. To name a few, I decided to tell you what kind of family I was born into because of how it happened. The family I was born in was an old house where I was knighted for generations. He was a famous knight who had a small territory in the border land even though he was a knight, eating in an internal job in the name of a side job because he couldn't just eat from the income of the territory, he was a poor family.

Born in such a family, I barely remember my parents' faces. Because we were both dead by the time I was ready. There was little war against the country at the time, but instead the battle against demons and demons continued all the time. Naturally, my parents have been driven into battle and have died in the battle of honor. He said his father was a sword, his mother was a good magician, but his skill was only a little above normal, so he was caught in a riot and lost his life.

I have no particular resentment for it. I went to kill each other, so I can think of myself now that I'm ready to kill and be killed. But there were people who didn't think so. That is the father of the deceased father. I mean, he was my grandfather and the only flesh parent left behind.

The only part I remember about him is the part where he says he's a scary person who keeps snickering at me even in his ghostly shape. There was little or no routine conversation, all I could hear was a harsh voice - can't even do it to this extent - or - you think you can defeat the Demon King for that matter - etc. At the time, I hated my grandfather like that. I had never fought, and I hated it more than my parents' enemies, the Demons. Naturally. Little kids hate adults hurting themselves for reasons they don't know, because it's a natural stream.

My grandfather's training was extremely harsh, and unusual as many times as a normal human being would have died. I lost my precious son and his wife, and I guess he was crazy, too. If he had been at all calm, he would have found out that there couldn't have been someone who could stand such impotence over and over again.

But - I could stand it. I endured it. Muscle strength and magic incompatible with the child's body. Protected by what could be termed an excess given by the gods, I quickly gained more combat power than my grandfather.

Whereas my grandfather regretted it, he was ecstatic. This will destroy the Demon Clan. He says his grandchildren are the warriors who destroy the demons. And the next thing he did was make him brag about his arms everywhere against his grandchildren. If you beat up your grandson, give him the unscrupulous condition of a seal of gold. I thought I'd get paid just to beat the kid up, and all sorts of people came from over there. From rogue to arm bragging. Most of them were half-killed because they couldn't even match their swords with me, but there were more users inside than me. My grandfather worked to stay like that and asked me to work out.

Of course not everyone shook their heads vertically. Some of them left as soon as they only received the money, and others accompanied me in my training for a long time. My life back then was just going on a mock fight all the time, except for eating and sleeping with a bath. He didn't do anything bare about the sword, and even kept fighting in action form. Because it was my grandfather's claim to say that there was no better audition than in action.

After all those slaughtered days, I was supposed to leave the house the day it was fifteen. It's not like my grandfather was satisfied that I got better enough and told me the end of my training. That is simply why his life expectancy has run out. One day, eating breakfast as usual, I wondered how long my grandfather would never come out of the room, and I visited his room. Then there was the figure of my grandfather, who was exhausted on his way out of bed. I don't know if there was any illness, or if my heart suddenly went bad, now. It's just that at the time, without any particular grief, I decided to expedite my grandfather's funeral and set off on a crusade for the Demon King.

I didn't think it was my mission to defeat the Demon King, simply because I had no other purpose.
