- Ciel point of view

Me and Karin were going for the Wang Capital in a rambling role, drawing as much attention as we could - that is, going first. At first, he traveled from the city of Suphore to the nearest city, where he beat the Steedish-like students without question. Naturally, it takes a chase, but I'm traveling by flying magic, so I won't be caught up. I could afford to say that because only nobles can use communications using magic props, and there will be no use of magic props to catch just nominees like us.

"Didn't I draw a lot of attention?

"Right. If they get so flashy, they'll try to capture them desperately."

Karin said that satisfactorily as she fell asleep in one of the inns in the city where she stopped, getting out of gear and completely lightened up. Replying to that, I remembered the distance to the Wang Capital, as I solved my traveling costume in the same way.

If you are usually traveling by road to Wangdu, two weeks on foot if it is one way. Half of that if it's a carriage. Maybe four or five days if it's just a horse. We're halfway out of town in three days, so we still have to make arrangements. So the enemy must be pretty confused without being able to find the intended person either.

"But what are we going to do, Ciel? You can't find Prince Magna, who's gone missing, can you?

"Well, I guess so... You don't have a good idea at all."

Lapis asked me to do it in a way that I could, but I'm sure they expect a lot of it. We want to help them, too, and it's no different from bandits just to get flashy. I'd like to do something here to see if Prince Magna is safe or not, but I couldn't figure out a way to do that.

Is there a way we, who are just amateurs, can find out that soldiers and knights from all over the country will be following his news in the first place as well as the King's Capital? I can only predict a future that doesn't go well, and somehow I get depressed.

But it's my partner Karin I can count on at a time like this. Unlike me, who is headstrong and prone to a groove of thought, she comes up with a flexible and flighty idea.

"Well, why don't you pick a way that's not normal? That's what Lapis said."

"If you say so..."

Sure. When we left, we were looking into it in a positive way, so we wanted it to be explored illegally. I totally forgot it was too crappy. Scratch your head at your own detours and think about what to do with your next hand. Is it illegal...... In a nutshell, there's a lot going on. What better way?

"Can Karin come up with anything?

"Hmmm...... Like sneaking in somewhere? I'm not very good at thinking, and I can't think of anything else."

Karin threw a round at me to see if she was giving up thinking early. I'm proud to be in charge of brainwork for once, and I have to live up to expectations here.

"If you've found a facility where you're likely to get any information, it's natural to sneak in. Otherwise... Ah."

"What? Did you come up with anything?

Karin stares with anticipation. There was a bitter smile in my mouth whether it was against her or against the non-busy thoughts that came to my mind.

"For example... how about this?

The way I came up with it - it was to use the bad guys. I guess the reason I can't find Prince Magna, who is desperately searching right now, is to say he's lurking well, but I think there's another reason. I mean, it's not a good way to look. Keep an eye on the city to capture suspicious people and try to get information somehow. That in itself draws on numbers and organizational skills, and I don't think it's a bad way. But that only works if it's an ordinary criminal opponent. If you are hiding in some territory or impersonating someone else entirely, I didn't think that would work.

So what I thought was the use of bad guys. Snake paths are called snakes, or bandits and other humans lurking in the darkness should have their own networks. It is possible that they have already obtained information that the country has not grasped. I don't have any certainty...

I talked to Lapis properly, I think it's somewhat more convenient than the way he said to break the mouth of the Stides nobility. Let's keep that as a last resort.

"As far as the bandits lurking in the mountains are concerned, can't they come into contact with a flavor of bandits imprisoned in jails or lurking all over the city? If it's a city as big as Wang Du, I think it's pretty much there. You can do your best or you can give me the money, but if we get their help, we might find Prince Magna."

"I don't know what to say, I thought about it."

Karin is surprised to round her eyes. But I twisted my head right away.

"How do you make contact?

"There's, well... find the right guy, do your best to make him talk, or make him talk on condition of letting him escape from the barn..."

…………

That Karin cut me loose. You have no choice! I couldn't find another good way!

"and... let's just go with the policy. Because of this, it's an operation that Ciel thought of. He said he'd figure it out!

"I hope so..."

"Then let's get some rest today! We still have a long way to go."

It's Karin's beauty to be able to change her mind perfectly. Imitate her. I dive into bed, too. It's useless to think about an operation like this that can't even be called an operation like this, because it's the only way to be. I closed my eyes thinking so.

The next day. We left the inn early in the morning and headed to the next city with flying magic. When you enter the city, you walk down the street and gather information in an outdoor shop. Even so, it wasn't about Prince Magna, it was a question of whether the Steeds were working rampantly. As soon as we buy that story about who it was damaged or where it's rooted, we both push it and it hurts to the point where we never stand on our feet again. And get out of the city immediately. Repeating this several times, we were on our way to King's Capital.

Strictly alert to boulders.

"I wonder how long it would take just to get into the city..."

There was a long line of snakes in front of the main gate that hit the entrance to the Wang capital. There are dewstores that are commercially available to the people lined up, and there are even simple tents made by the people who seem to be lined up for the night. Even so, the line was mostly full of people from the city of leeway, and it seemed like ten people and merchants from the Wang capital could easily get in and out in another row.

Still, if we stop circulation, that would make the economic situation worse, and I didn't know what the Steeds were thinking.

"What do we do? Line up?"

To Karin's inquiry I shake my head silently. I just queued up like this, and I don't know when I'm going to let you in the city. There's a good chance the arrangements will go around this far while we wait, and they might see through the disguise when we get in. Then there is only one answer.

"Let's magically go inside in the middle of the night. This is a big city, so it's impossible to keep an eye on the whole thing. There must be a hole somewhere."

"Shall we hide somewhere once? Even if they see you coming in from the sky, it's a mess."

In the end, we decided to travel a short distance from the King's capital, from which we had arrived, and dive in with flying magic.
