Apparently, Verna was captured shortly after I left Simon's home to join him. I mean, there's not that much difference in time, and I guess they were going to attack me, even if I was there.

"... you mean you've been figuring out where we are?

"I think it's natural to think so. Probably been followed since I walked into the city.... Damn! If only I'd looked around more carefully!

Simon groans in regret as he punches the wall. Fortunately, his family was safe. They made him promise not to lay a hand on Verna, provided he surrendered heavily.

"You can't help but mourn, Simon. It's not about regret that matters. I don't know how to get Verna back."

"... it was. We need to get the lady back."

I was relatively calm because Simon was fierce instead. I'll think about it again. I wonder why they grabbed Verna? Originally she is the woman Steed wanted to be his own. So it's a dedication to Steed? I can't even say it's completely unlikely, but I feel weak about it.

If I'm not kicking through the castle people, it's not unnatural for that reason. But things have changed, for better or worse. Is hostage against us the most likely thing?

"Didn't they say anything when they grabbed Verna?

"He said he was going back to the castle. But suddenly it got noisy outside... Their people have changed their blood. He said he'd run away because of the monster..."

Simon's mother answered that with a blue face. A monster... probably about a sol rammed around on the boulevard.

"Anything else?

"You can't have a castle. And then he left."

... Still in the city? No, is that unlikely? I don't even think they have the guts to stay in the city in a situation where they've been cornered almost to extinction. Then...

"Maybe he ran outside the city?

"What!?

Simon is surprised. There is no certainty. No, but that feels most likely. Originally, they shouldn't have any loyalty to Steed. It's the cutest bunch of rogues I've ever had, and I guess I'll either run Verna hostage or use it to get in the mood for Steed. Either way, that's something we can't do without leaving the city. Then I think it's natural to think I just ran away.

"It shouldn't be that long, so if we go after it, we might still make it. What about Simon?

"Of course I'll follow you! The lady's been caught, but you can't stay here!

If that's the case, it's better to act fast. Me and Simon went back the way we just came and ran to the castle. The boulevard leading up to the castle left traces of the battle vividly, with occasional neighbors just watching from the shadows of the alley. The sun hasn't risen yet, and we'll be cleaning it up. Running beside the body of a black knight torn apart, we reached the castle gate, and we went straight inside and went for the stables without hesitation.

"Over here!

Guidance, of course, Simon. He was in and out of the castle. He's perfect for a guide. After we jumped out of the castle on a horse that was lucky enough to stay, we ran out to the south gate, within the two city gates - the north gate and the south gate. The King's capital of Steed is south of town. They've decided to go south because they're just going north to a different country. I can't even look at you if you're out of anticipation, but if you're looking which way, you're not going to be anywhere near catching up. I just have to bet.

There is no shadow in the looming gate of knowledge. Did the soldiers who were supposed to be in the jar escape, and the gate remained open at dawn?

"Dieria!"

At the tip Simon pointed to was the ground, where he could see the marks of a brand new hoof. To say that there are still things left that will easily disappear in the day when people come and go must be proof that someone went through here on a horse a while ago. Me and Simon whipped into the horse and increased the horse's speed even more.

"Ha...! Ha...!

My breath is rough. Though the magic is gradually recovering, it is far from a state of completeness. Apparently the burden of manipulating Sol to let him fight them was greater than I thought.

"I see it!

I saw some human horses at the end of the street that Simon points to. The numbers are all three horsemen. The inner rider looks like he's bracketing some big baggage behind the horse. No - that's not luggage. People! Moving with a mozo. That must definitely be something that tied humans to a wrap around.

"Lady!"

Simon accelerates at once screaming. With that one voice, they noticed the chaser, too, and I think I started panicking. When they whipped him into the horse and followed Simon's trail, they either decided to be ready or went down from the horse, pulling out their sword and showing him the setup to intercept this one.

"Stop! I don't care what happens to this woman!

One of the black knights poked his sword at Verna, who remained tied to the horse. Simon hastily pulls the reins and stops suddenly. After losing momentum, he rolls gobbly and stays close to the side of the Black Knights. My preparations were already over when the other black knights turned their attention to him.

"It's a coincidence, but you did a good job, Simon!

Even with the hostages taken, I won't stop the horses. With a bow on my horse I release a bow to the horse where Verna remains tied. The arrow made a sharp noise and flew through the dark night, tearing the horse's ass shallow with a claw.

"Hihihin!"

Horses burst out surprised by sudden pain. Even ordinary horses are dangerous but rampant are military horses. If the kicked up hind legs were to be a direct hit, they would kill as easily as humans.

"Fuck! Fuck!

"Simon!"

"Lady!"

The second shot fired pierces the black knight's neck and instantly lets him die. Simon strikes one of the two remaining.

"Whoa, whoa!

"Ko, this kid!

The difference in strength between Simon and the Black Knight is clear. If you are calm, you lose. It was necessary to decide the victory while the enemy was in a hurry. I release my hand from the bow and keep the horse running at the same time as I release the last arrow on the back of the black knight in contention with Simon. And I jumped at the last remaining black knight.

"Wow!?

"What!?

Roll the gobbles and the ground as you work together. Although I cushioned the Black Knight to reduce the damage of falling horses, it still hurts what hurts. Hit and rub all over your body and tap a sword pattern into the face of a black knight in tears.

"You piece of shit, Ama."

At that moment when the black knight, sprinkled with nosebleeds and regained his posture, rose in the shape of anger, he was pounded to the ground with momentum. Let more than half of your body plunge into the ground. That should be it, too. The rampage horse weighs the whole weight.

Because I put a blow to the front leg I put on it from the back. Anyway, if you're going to cut me to death with a sword, I think it's a pity while the enemy stomped me to death, but I couldn't afford to leave it at that. Because the rampage horse has now targeted me.

"Wow!? Hey, get out of here!

"Hihihin!"

There is no way that persuasion or anything could work for an animal, and I rush off on the spot. Simon turned his gaze, and he had just finished the Black Knight. He just ate the accidental blow of an arrow from his back, and even Simon could handle it. Simon runs over to try and help Verna, who remains tied to a rampage horse. But it wasn't possible for me or Simon to seize a horse who had lost his reason at all costs.

In the end, it wasn't until a little while later that I was able to help Verna out of the horse that had regained her composure. Released from the scroll, Verna overflowed her mouth with diarrhea with her white eyes peeled off, which had been a shame. Instead of having no shards of majesty as a nobleman's courtier, I don't want to come near you if I can.

Thanks for your help, isn't it? Me and Simon were convincing each other of themselves.
