"I can't move my body..."

Shortly after I rolled into Solciere's house, I was tied to a bed with nothing to do with my will. Yes, they tied him up. It was secured in many places with sturdy bands of leather so that it could never get out of it, and was never able to move on its own. Usually this level of restraint would be easily pulled off, but even one of these bottles won't cut easily in the current state. Well, I was worried about myself and Solciere was all over me, but I didn't even bother to defy him. Honestly, I wasn't sure how to get this far, but I had a few days to figure out why, and they told me after I got somewhat better.

"Simply put, I've had a lot of bumps up to now."

Though it's supposed to be the usual look, I felt Solciere's eyes clouding with worry when she looked at me.

"You had a tough fight, including back in the day, didn't you? I accumulated such damage before I realized it myself, and it came on the table all at once. So for the time being, I need a quiet rest. You can't fight outside. Besides... it's my first time talking about the fusion of humans and demons. It's suicide to fight with no certainty of victory and no certainty of what the enemy holds."

…………

To tell you the truth, if I can get up now, I want to take my sword and go defeat the Emperor now. Because I thought if I did it right, I'd figure it out. I just know what Solciere says. The power I felt from the emperor I confronted at that time... if that wasn't all I could do, I'm sure it would be tough as it is now.

"How's everybody doing?

"I'm working out. At least I'll make you strong enough not to be your foot wrapper. Stay tuned as your eyes are changing day by day."

"Right..."

If that's what Solciere says, is it okay if I leave it to you? Fighting a fierce drowsiness, I fell asleep thinking about it.

- Ciel point of view

…………

How many times has this happened? In the midst of repeated imminent death experiences, I seemed to be progressively mentally trained, and lately I was waking up without screaming. Did Master Solciere see it as a growth, and he can no longer be tied to bed, at least only his body is given freedom.

What I waited for instead was an even tougher training.

"It's about some more magic, and shall we start training in full-scale magic from here? If you have any questions, I'll take them, okay?

"That's good, Master Solciere. As far as I'm concerned, I have a feeling it's pretty much more magical, and I think it's stronger than it was before at the moment, but still, from Master Solciere's point of view, is it 'to some extent'?

"Isn't that obvious? I have more magic than Lapis. Now you're finally about half that girl. Compared to me, it's an untold level."

"Are you serious..."

That's all you got. Finally half of Lapis? How much magic does this man have that doesn't even reach under Master Solciere's feet... I felt reminded again of how awesome this guy and Lapis are.

"When you say party with the brave, you have to take advantage of each characteristic. Even if a human with no handle acts with that child, it's just a leg clump. If you want to help that girl, you can have a piece of it. Wear something better than that girl."

"One Art......"

Magic is no match for magic. Then you have to be able to do what Lapis can't. But there is such a thing? That kid seems to be able to do anything on his own, and he's actually good at both melee and ranged combat. Exactly like embodying the word omnipotent... Lady Solciere smiled bitterly and said this when such an idea was on her face.

"Shall I give you a little hint? The magic arm of the child is a great deal, but what you can do is not so different from a normal wizard."

"That's not a big difference from a normal wizard? That should be..."

And that much thought made me realize hah. I've seen how Lapis fights before, but I was just eyeing the overwhelming power of the magic she uses and remembering that I didn't pay any attention to anything else. Sure, Lapis' magic is amazing. Awesome, but not very complicated. As for the type, I was just using two at the same time at best. I mean...

"Did you notice? Yes, she can do it if she's a first-rate wizard, she can't use multiple magic at the same time. Usually two at most. Three if you can't do it like this one. Still, it's a premise that life is at stake, so it's better to think of two things at the same time."

I kept my mouth shut because I'm not on a level I can still use for combat, but lately I've been able to use magic two times at the same time. So... you're saying that if you ignore the power, you can do the same thing as Lapis?

"Of course, there's something about the suitability of an attribute that can be used, so you wouldn't be rival to that kid in that respect. Still, if you can use more than one of your available attributes at the same time, you can be a valuable fighter."

Imagine that. Lock your enemies up in a cage of dirt, the sight of them raining flames and ice. A golem that ravages enemies with fiery fists. Enemy armies that will be unable to move one on the Ice Plains. If such a sight is to become a reality, then I should be a wizard that I cannot compare to before. I'm sure Lapis can help you...!

"I will! I'll do whatever I can! So, Master Solciere, make me strong!

"You're ready to say. That's right. I got to go. Even so, it's easy to do. Just do a mock fight with me. You do your utmost to attack me. Of course I will. To the point of not dying. However, magic shall be used at least three times simultaneously as a condition. Because if you don't, it won't improve forever. Whatever the way you fight. Freedom to unleash magic in every order. I repeat, always use three magics."

There are only three attributes I can use: flame, ice, and wind. We have to use these three types and make Master Solciere acknowledge them. I set up a cane in my right hand with both hands, and stared at Master Solciere as if I were poking my sword. Did you convey my mood, Master Solciere can flatter his face a little?

"You're starting to look good. I don't think you're the kind of person who was crying."

I can't afford to live up to that word. I tour the magic that dwelled in my body and unfold magic around me. Because of the increased amount of magic that was not comparable to before, or because of the highly challenging itinerary, the body was not strained at all. This is growth...... Forced to contain the joy that comes up unexpectedly, I concentrate on magic.

"Hmm. With that configuration, is it dimensions to attack me with ice and dirt spears that fled into the sky after filling my surroundings with a sea of flames?

I was spotted with all my thoughts from within not a word, and the upset came out on my face. But I can't change the configuration now. If you're being spotted anyway, just hit it with all your might!

"I'll go!

A sea of flames appeared in front of me at the same time as I waved down my wand. Naturally, Lady Solciere, who was on the spot, should fly up and run away - but the next moment, my flames scratched out like smoke.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I told you to use three at the same time, but I didn't tell you to curb the power. Start over from the beginning. And this is a failed punishment."

As soon as Master Solciere rang his fingers without a cane, the fierce wind razed around me. I don't have time to scream, and I have a sharp pain in my arm that I reflexively protected my head from. The pain propagated one to the other part of my arm after another, and when I thought the wind had subsided, I realized I was standing in bloody blood.

"Ahhh... ahh..."

I can barely speak out because of the terrible pain. It's my first experience with an adventurer that I've been injured so far. When I was wounded in the rear guard, the party was always at a disadvantage, so it was fundamental to retreat then. I mean, it's the first time I've ever been injured near death. Though I nearly panicked half the time, I was able to regain my sobriety immediately because of repeated imminent death experiences.

"Oh? You seem to know what to do properly. I'm impressed, but I won't be able to make it."

Lady Solciere puts up a cane at me, using clothes that have become a mess, and for now, starting to stop the bleeding of the first aid. Then my body, wrapped in soft light, was clogged with gleaming wounds.

"I don't like restorative magic, but to that extent, I can cure it. Let's keep going."

I mean... unless I can handle magic well, I'm gonna be chopped up over and over again. I'm out of my mind - I'm about to say those words, and I rush to hold my mouth in. It's not good. It's superior. You magical lunatic. I'll show you! I set up my wand again, dominated by a large part of my mind by something different from my sense of purpose.
