Heroes of Marvel

Chapter 9 Waiver and Growth Route Options

“Hey, Jackson! What's wrong with you?” When Lin Rui and Tom arrived at school, Peter noticed something was wrong with him and asked curiously.

“Uh... nothing.” Lin Rui sat in his seat and took off his mask without hesitation. There was no need to cover up too much at school.

“Ha! Are you going to be a hero at night?! Someone hit me like this!” Seeing those two blue wounds on Lin Rui's face, Peter immediately became interested.

“Yeah, I'm a good student at school during the day, and I'm a big street hero at night!” Following Peter's words, Lin Rui replied seriously.

“Mm-hmm! I don't know if you're going to be a hero at night, but you're not really a good student during the day! Did you forget you slept almost all day yesterday?” Behind Peter, Harry asked with a smile.

“Isn't that too tired at night?” Lin Rui's helplessness explains that God knows what he's saying is true.

“Well, our street hero, don't fall asleep in class again today, but yesterday Teacher Simon was very unhappy with you.” Harry cautioned kindly.

“Yeah, I know. ”

After a brief chat, everyone sat in the classroom and waited for class, while Tom sat next to Lin Rui as before. And today, Tom seemed to have some things, although he was in class, but he was always distracted and his eyes were always drifting towards Lin Rui.

Lin Rui, whose physical qualities and observation were far from normal, obviously discovered Tom's little move. After a few minutes, he finally couldn't help but brush and write a note and hand it to Tom: Are you okay? About me?

Tom was surprised to receive the note at first, but then quickly wrote it down on the note. After writing it, Tom handed it to Lin Rui before the teacher noticed.

“After you ran back from school yesterday, Gwen came. I think Peter and Harry are kind of interested in her. ”

After seeing what Tom had written, Lin Rui's eyebrows picked up, but there were no surprises. In his memory, Peter and Harry seemed to like Gwen.

“But it's not easy for me to get involved now. It's the two of them.” Shaking his head, Lin Rui thought silently.

Whoo!

Just as Lin Rui thought about it, Tom saw him and handed him a note: I thought you liked Gwen. There's no response at all!

Lin Rui's return was quick: Gwen and I were just friends, and if Peter and Harry liked her, I wouldn't interfere!

After Lin Rui answered, Tom finally calmed down. Though he's friends with Peter and Harry now, if they really like Gwen, then of course Tom is going to help Lin Rui.

“Well, it looks like Gwen will choose Peter at the end of the day if things go well." Who made him a Spider-Man and he became confident and capable again! Harry has some advantages now, but he's nothing compared to Spider-Man. ”After Tom reminded me, Lin Rui couldn't help but think about the end of this triangle.

“Who said it was meant to be?” At a time when Lin Rui felt sorry for Harry, the voice of the system appeared without warning.

“Hmm? Will this change? Don't say you're giving me any weird assignments, like what's ruining Peter's relationship with Gwen.” Listening to the sound of the system, Lin Rui asked impatiently.

“That's not necessary. Didn't you already take up a task? Did you forget so soon?” The calm shadow of the system was a faint reminder.

“What mission? Didn't I just finish that street hero job?” Some forceful Lin Rui asked stunnedly.

“That 50,000 reward point mission you forgot so quickly? Or do you think you can ignore my release if there's a mainline mission?” The system continues to remind us with great patience.

“The mission?! I've chosen the main task of becoming a superhero. Why is there the task of sabotaging Peter and Harry?” Lin Rui was very confused by the reminder of the system.

Destroying the feelings of two good friends, it's like a villain doing something, how can a superhero do something like that? Lin Ruili should think that when he chose to become a superhero, the task would naturally disappear.

“This is a mistake in your own understanding, and the two tasks are totally irrelevant. It has nothing to do with breaking Peter's relationship with Harry and your becoming a superhero. Will the breakdown of Peter's relationship with Harry affect your becoming a superhero?” The system doesn't matter, explains it.

“But… but…"

“But you don't want to do this anymore, do you?” The system then finished what he had in mind behind Lin Rui.

“Well, Peter and Harry really treat me like friends, and I can't do that.” Half a day of thought, Lin Rui answered honestly.

In fact, it can be seen from Lin Rui's choice of the path of superhero. He is the kind of person who would rather make himself suffer more than make himself look brighter and bigger. The reason he took up that task before was that he didn't know Peter Harry, on the one hand, and the temptation of the 50,000 reward points that never existed in the system. Now that Lin Rui has become friends with them, and the main task reward point of his choice seems to be quite generous (a beginner's task alone rewards a thousand reward points and two items), Lin Rui doesn't want to continue this pit friend's mission.

“Whatever, but now is the best time for you to do it. If you really don't want these 50,000 reward points, you will automatically fail to judge by the end of the mandate. But until then, you have a chance to change your mind.” The system followed Lin Rui's words, but finally gave him some psychological temptation.

“Don't worry, I won't do that.” So far, Lin Rui completely abandoned the task of 50,000 reward points. However, he could have been more comfortable with Peter and Harry as friends, accepting their care without any guilt.

A quiet day soon passed, and Lin Rui, who had no mission, had a very relaxing day, and Tom stopped questioning Lin Rui about the weirdness of the previous two days.

“System, do you think it's time to buy something now that I have so many reward points?” Lying in bed, Lin Rui looked over and over at the system store and asked itchy.

“Isn't that up to you, anyway, these reward points are yours? Besides, didn't you already have what you wanted when you were little? Otherwise, it wouldn't have cost you two hundred reward points to redeem your parents for Friar's talisman over the years, and it would have cost you 50 reward points to learn the essence of junior fighting.” I've been watching Lin Rui wander around the system store for an hour and the system replies faintly.

“Hey, hey! Isn't that too few reward points before? Now that you're a little wealthy, it's normal for me to think about it. By the way, do you really think that thing I've been trying to redeem?” The old Lin Rui was really saving too much, but it wasn't because the system gave too few reward points.

“You mean those immortal Titan bloodlines you've been hoping for?” The system obviously knew what Lin Rui was talking about and asked softly.

“Yes, the blood of the immortal Titan, this is Marvel World, and if I had exchanged the blood of the immortal Titan in Greek mythology, I would have been immortal!” Lin Rui asked a little excitedly. In a Marvelous world of superheroes and supervillains everywhere, Lin Rui felt that it was only possible to be completely safe to become an immortal body that was not in a system with them.

“You're right, the Titans in Marvel are not the same as the Titans you want to exchange. But that doesn't mean you're really safe with Titan blood. The world is far more dangerous than you think, and becoming a true immortal Titan is not that simple.” Hearing Lin Rui's analysis, the system is not too salty to speak of.

“Hmm? What do you mean?” Listening to the system, Lin Rui's heart was tight and seemed to have missed something.

“I can't talk to you too much because you're at a lower level. I can only tell you that what you call the Marvel system is not the right idea. Also, trying to be a true immortal Titan is fine, but you have to pay more than just a reward point for the price of heaven. Titan's powerful bloodline does make you almost immortal, but it also completely changes your body. Let's just say, when you're really not dead, you can't say you're human.” The system has explained so much to Lin Rui and seems to think Lin Rui's choices are poor.

“Marvel system cognitive error? Will there be other ghosts in this world? And since you became a Titan, you haven't been human? What a wretch! I have to live on Earth!” Lin Rui suddenly became big when he heard the explanation of the system. He wanted to redeem the entire immortal Titan bloodline step by step, but now he doesn't have any ideas. But he had more than one strong blood in mind than Titan.

“While there are many other bloodlines that don't change your human identity, I don't think it suits you very well. And it's hard to change a vein once it's chosen, and it's more embarrassing if you encounter enemies who restrain you in the future.” Full insight into Lin Rui's excited system once again faded open.

“What do you say best suits me?! This is Marvel World, rich people rely on technology, poor people rely on mutation. I'm not very poor, but I'm not rich enough to use high-tech to improve my strength! Besides choosing these powerful veins, what other ways to strengthen yourself?” Lin Rui was somewhat troubled to hear the system deny that he had always wanted to choose a stronger route.

As he just said, Marvel World is really a world where the rich depend on technology and the poor on mutation. Peter Parker, the poor kid, if he hadn't been bitten by a spider, how could he have been the more responsible the Spider-Man was? Harry Osborne, the supergroup Osborne biotech dude, had it not been for the financial resources and technology behind his family, there would have been nothing behind the little Green Devil. Lin Rui's two good friends perfectly interpreted his understanding of the world's superhero existence and a basic trend.

“That's right, you're not a super-rich man, choosing super blood is really a fast and powerful choice for you. But with me, you don't really have to choose the path of mutation at all. You don't always start out on your own, don't you notice the changes you've been making these two days?” Without denying Lin Rui, the system merely reminded him.

“Change? Of course it's stronger. Intermediate fighting essentials have become more proficient. Dragon Teng Gong has also been introduced. It's at least three or four times stronger than before.” After listening to the system, Lin Rui replied seriously.

“Uh... do you mean... not to strengthen your veins, not to mutate, but to choose enhanced martial arts and advanced martial arts to strengthen yourself?” After answering the system, Lin Rui himself reacted.

This kind of enhancement appears to be much slower than blood intensification and mutation, but wins by practicing on his own and is more comfortable to use, besides not changing his human veins.

“Mm-hmm. That's my advice. ”

“Well, listen to you first, at least I was a Chinese man, and it seems normal to practice kung fu.” Finally, Lin Rui accepted the system's recommendations.
