Heroes of Marvel

Chapter 18 Phantom Knight

Imperial High School, Lin Rui's class. We watched Captain America together, ate Chinese food together, and walked the streets with Lin Rui and Peter. So when Lin Rui said he was going to the Horn Journal part-time, Peter was both very concerned and surprised.

“Jackson, don't you need money? We're only a freshman now. It's a little early to go out on a part-time job, isn't it?” Tom asked curiously as he reached Lin Rui's side. Although he knew Lin Rui had been doing some work in the community clothing center since he was a kid, going to the newspaper outside was a real job.

“Nothing, just suddenly wanting to exercise myself and save some money, I'm planning on going out for the summer. And I find it interesting to be a journalist.” Lin Rui said the reason he had already thought about it.

Although Lin Rui is only a freshman now, in the United States, many 16-year-old high school students work part-time outside, but there are no formal jobs. And Lin Rui doesn't need to be a regular employee of Horn Daily, he just needs a reporter's name.

“But why did you go to The Horn Daily? Journalists in New York are not so good, especially the tabloids.” Peter asked beside himself. Lin Rui should have better options even if he wanted to work part-time, for example in his family's Chinese restaurant.

“Yes, if you want to intern in advance, I can recommend you to intern in my company. You must be smart.” Harry also said aside that he really thought it was a good idea to go to his company with Lin Rui's cleverness.

“Ha ha! I heard earlier that you had introduced Gwen to internship, so I stopped making a scene. Besides, I think I'm gonna like the journalist profession.” Lin Ri certainly knows that the Osborne Group is a good option if it's an intern, but he's not. He just wants to get close to Tony? Stark did the job.

“Well, now that you've made up your mind, we're only here for you. Maybe you'll become a famous journalist in New York!” When he heard Lin Rui's words, Tom had to express his support.

“Hey, hey! That's not true!” Lin Rui's eyes smiled and answered with a smile, if he really took any indecent photos of Tony, he would really be angry. Of course, it's not clear if Tony will destroy him.

As such, Lin Rui's part-time work at the Horn Daily News was all settled with his friends. As for Lin Rui's parents, they have always supported their son. And after Lin Rui and his friends had talked about it, he thought a lot about Peter returning to his seat. Families are already wealthy Jackson went to work part-time, do you still have to rely on Uncle Ben and Aunt May? Peter couldn't help but think of it that way.

Looking back at Lin Rui, who “listened carefully”, Peter felt he was looking for a part-time job too. Because he liked photography, Peter had saved a long time to buy himself a camera, and it seemed nice to work part-time in a newspaper. But Lin Rui has chosen newspaper reporters, and Peter's instinct ruled this out.

I just heard Jackson say Gwen went to Harry's for an internship. Maybe I could? But that seems to get Harry in trouble. If you really can't find the right part-time job, talk to Harry, he won't mind. Simply Peter didn't think why he didn't know Gwen was interning at Harry's, and Lin Rui knew that he just thought working with Gwen was good. Perhaps I can take this opportunity to deepen my relationship with Gwen! Things in Peter's puberty head instantly flew in the other direction.

Lin Rui, sitting in his seat, seemed to be listening carefully, but his thoughts were completely immersed in his world. He was thinking about how to become a part-time student of The Horn Journal, which might not be difficult, as long as he didn't ask for too high a salary, he was sure the stingy boss would be happy to accept. And as an intern journalist, how do you get to Tony? Big guy like Stark, he needs a plan.

“System, do you have any good advice?” I already have a general plan and he needs some more help with the details.

“I have to say, your plan looks perfect, at least as a reporter approaching Tony? Stark is much easier than being an ordinary person. But how can you interview Tony? Or would Tony like to be interviewed? That's not what you can do with the camera behind you. If you can't communicate, how can you get Iron Man's friendship?” The system first confirmed Lin Rui's plan and then raised a number of questions.

“Tony's a loving ass who doesn't mind being lit by spotlights, isn't it that hard to interview him? ”

“If only the reporter interviewing him was a beautiful woman, don't you think, Tony? Playboys like Stark are willing to let an intern journalist who only goes to high school interview himself. Unless you're a pretty girl, but Tony doesn't seem interested in kids either, he prefers to be mature.” The system dispelled Lin Rui's optimism in one sentence.

“If you say that, you can only take pictures from afar? That's not enough!” Lin Rui spoke with some anguish when he heard the system.

“That's right! Miss Pepper! Tony Stark's personal assistant. Though Tony is a playboy, Miss Pepper is his true love, and he has always loved her. Perhaps I can start with that.” All of a sudden, Lin Rui thought of this beautiful secretary lady next to Iron Man. And then, of course, Tony made Pep CEO of Stark Industries, because he was too lazy!

“Well, that's a way. If you can get Miss Pepper to like you, then you'll have a great chance to interview Tony? Stark's up.” See Lin Rui's excitement, the system responds faintly.

“Hey, hey! Perhaps Miss Pepper likes a handsome young sunshine like me!” Lin Rui, who thought he had found a breakthrough, said with a smile. Perhaps I'll do something to meet Tony's true love.

System: "…”

“But is this the main task of this release? While getting to know Iron Man is a real help on the way to a superhero, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with my current strength boost.” Tony's thing has been set aside for the time being, and Lin Rui has had this question since yesterday. Getting to know Iron Man is just an accumulation of one's own connections. If you become a superhero, strength is fundamental.

Buzz!

“Main mission launch: Under the night, evil forces are expanding, posing a serious threat to the security of New York. As a small, well-known street hero, hosts have an obligation to rid New York of these evil forces and ensure their safety. Objective of the mission: To combat the dark forces underground in New York and consolidate a safe living environment in New York. Task completion progress: 1100.” Just after Lin Rui raised that question, the sound of the system suddenly became hollow in his mind and then released a main task.

Lin Rui: “…”

My poison milk! Isn't it a good idea to make friends with Tony? Why bother yourself?! Lin Rui, who received the task, was reluctant to slap himself, but now he is in the conscious space, even if he slapped himself, he can't feel it.

“Actually, I was just reminding you that mainline tasks don't make you that easy. You know that constant fighting is the best way to grow up to be a superhero.” Once again, the sound of the system has changed back to what it was, to put it mildly.

“Well, as expected, that one percent completion should be the one I hit on the Justons before, and the one with the Night Warriors against the Russian mob.” It's milked like this, Lin Rui only accepts it, and looks at the completion of one percent of the task and asks the system.

“Yes, that was done before. ”

“Looks like I'm gonna die with the Justons! Maybe I really need a hand.” Thinking of this, Lin Rui's mind flashed a figure, the guy who tortured himself in the training space.

“But before I do, I need a cool name!” The further along the path of the superhero, Lin Rui truly felt he needed a loud name.

System: "…”

After an entire lesson, Lin Rui couldn't help but turn his attention to Tom Peter and them. These two guys are fans of their own, maybe they've already given themselves a nickname.

“Hey, Tom! Remember that new street hero?” For insurance, Lin Rui asked first. After all, Tom hasn't mentioned that street hero very much in the last few days.

“Of course! Because of him, crime rates have dropped so much this evening in Queens! I've always used him as an example! However, he appeared only at night, and his whereabouts were swift and uncertain, and no one had really seen him today.” When he heard Lin Rui's words, Tom replied seriously, saying that there was a little regret behind him.

Does the new street hero have his own name? A nickname like the Night Demon in Hell's Kitchen? ”Lin Rui showed some interest and asked, just wondering if there were any nice names here.

“Of course there is! Phantom Knight! That's the name we gave him! Isn't that a big deal? A righteous knight without a trace! I also asked Jess from the next class to help me build a fan website for Phantom Knight, and now there are over a thousand members!” Seeing Lin Rui looks very interesting, Tom is happy to say so.

“Phantom Knight?! Fan website?! Tom, you really impress me!” Lin Rui also had to be moved to hear what Tom's fans were doing. But the name Phantom Knight is okay. Almost according to my phantom set, but at least it sounds okay.

“Hmm, impressive? What's that supposed to mean?” Lin Rui used a Chinese idiom in that sentence, which Tom didn't understand at all.

“That's what you mean. Well, what's the Phantom Knight's website called? I'm gonna put it in too!” Just to explain, Lin Rui has already taken out his phone to join his fan base.
