Heroes of Marvel
Chapter 25 Poisoning
There's a well-known urban darkness in New York, and that's Matt's Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan. For historical reasons, there are many poor people living here, gangs of all sizes and sizes are active and crime rates remain high.
Although the expansion of Manhattan's business centre in recent years has led to the influx of Hell's Kitchens into a bunch of businessmen, the price of otherwise barren land has risen rapidly. But this is not good news for the local population, many of whom have had to sell their houses for less than half their lives because of the real estate development company's intimidation. One of the reasons why Matt hasn't been up against Kim is the forced demolition of more gold and forces under his control.
Matt, who is a lawyer during the day, provides free legal advice and assistance to many of the poor in the Hell's kitchen, most of which are cases of forced land demolitions and forced purchases. Probably for the big crocodiles, just give them some money to get rid of the poor. But for the native people, this is their roots, it's a place to leave behind. The same is true for Matt, who grew up here, so he does his best to help them, albeit with a series of obstacles.
And Matt didn't always work alone. He had his own best friend, Virgil, when he was a lawyer? Nelson as a partner. And at night, as Night Demon, he also had a kind nurse, Claire, who had been silently supportive of himself. Now he has a powerful ally, Lin Rui, although he was seriously injured this time by helping Lin Rui get information about the Juston Gang.
Matt has always lived in a large basement because of his other identity and blindness. He can practise in peace here, and he can still feel what's happening out there. And now, in that basement, a beautiful woman is walking around the lobby pinching her phone for fear.
Boom!
Just as the beautiful woman didn't know how many laps around the sofa, she suddenly heard a voice coming from the front basement door.
“Who?!” A stick next to the couch was suddenly copied, and Claire asked nervously.
Whoo-hoo!
Da-da ~
“It's me, Phantom Knight!” With a heavy footsteps, Lin Rui's voice came through the door. After calling for Claire's address, he finally brought Matt back.
Whoo!
Boom! Boom!
“Ah, Matt!” When Lin Rui walked in with Matt in a coma behind his back, Claire threw the stick out of her hand and rushed up.
Whoo-hoo!
“How is he?!” Helping Lin Rui put Matt in a coma on the couch, Claire asked nervously.
“Hoo-hoo! He's been hurt a lot, but I've made it easy for him and it won't get any worse. But further care is needed, and I think you can help with that.” I didn't care that Claire ignored herself, Lin Rui replied quickly.
“Well, there's plenty of first-aid medicine in here, I'll get it now!” By the time Lin Rui spoke, Claire had also briefly checked down Matt's condition and stood up and ran to the rear of the basement.
Whoo!
“Ah! ~ That hurts!” After Claire went to the back to get the first aid, Lin Rui slowly made it down by the couch, and she couldn't help but scream.
On the way back to Lin Rui with Matt on his back, it took a lot of effort. He had consumed all his internal strength in the fight at the pier, and his abdomen had been punctured by a few big holes by a bug's last blow. In fact, he was also seriously injured. Low-term spray can only stop the bleeding and promote physical recovery, but wound recovery is not ideal because of his intense exercise. He can't keep Matt on the road.
Whoo!
Lifting the phantom set, Lin Rui looked at his abdomen, where blood seeped out again, and it appeared that the wound did not heal well. And now the seeping blood actually carries a little black. Lin Rui did not notice the change in his blood color. His masked face was already pale, which is not a normal phenomenon.
“Whoo-hoo! Looks like I'm gonna need a break too!” Feeling tired from all over her body, Lin Ruigou was about to fall asleep on the couch.
Da-da!
Da-da!
And just as Lin Rui's eyes slowly closed and leaned towards the sofa, Claire, who had just run to the back for the first aid, had already come back. Listening to footsteps, Lin Rui's spirit, who was about to go to sleep, was a little better. He didn't want Claire to see himself after he went to sleep.
Whoo!
Claire, holding the first aid kit, quickly squatted down by the couch and suddenly swept onto Lin Rui while she was picking things up outside the first aid kit.
“Are you hurt too!?” Claire shouted when she saw horrible black blood coming from Lin Rui's abdomen and then walked over to examine Lin Rui.
“Uh ~ nothing ~ my wound is fine, please heal Matt first...” He waved hard, Lin Rui wanted to show that he was fine. However, he did not know that he was now powerless to wave.
However, Claire's face became ugly when she carefully examined the sharp wounds. Next, she's going to reach out and unravel the sharp hat and mask and look at his face and pupils.
Whoo!
Brush!
Although Lin Rui's condition was surprisingly bad at the time, he subconsciously grabbed Claire's hand as he was about to unwrap his hat.
“What are you doing?..." Some of the impotent asked, Lin Rui was exhausted and about to lose his grip on Claire's hand.
“I suspect you're poisoned now, just looking at your face and your eyes to make sure.” Claire hastily explained that she didn't want Lin Rui to misunderstand and cause him to get more poisoned.
“Poisoning?!” When I heard Claire's words, Lin Rui's spirit seemed to be vibrating, and his mind was suddenly sober.
Then, after a slight sensation of his physical condition, Lin Rui determined that Claire's words were indeed poisoned! The insects must have stabbed him with severe poison on the bone stabs, and the low-level treatment spray could only treat the trauma and not detoxify it.
“System! Am I intoxicated?!” Brace yourself, Lin Rui shouted quickly in his mind.
“Well, you did get poisoned.” The answer is the sound of the system that doesn't matter, as if Lin Rui's poisoning was just a small thing.
“You!... Forget it, is there an antidote in the system store?” There was no time to peel the system, Lin Rui rushed on to ask.
“Of course there is. ”
“How much? Forget it, no matter how much it costs, just redeem it!” I feel like I'm losing it, Lin Rui hastily said.
Buzz!
Brush!
Lin Rui's voice just fell, a white light poured out in the system store, and finally disappeared into Lin Rui's mind. Lin Rui also felt that there was something in his belt, which should be the antidote.
Whoo!
At the end of the communication with the system, Lin Rui reached out to his waist and took a small box out of it.
“This is the antidote ~ Remember, don't...” Just took the antidote out and Lin Rui passed out before he finished speaking.
Brush!
Lin Rui lifted his right hand and pulled down helplessly. The little box in his hand also slipped toward the ground, but was caught halfway by Claire.
Holding the little box that Lin Rui had just taken out, Claire looked at Lin Rui's face, who had passed out. Lin Rui's last words she heard, but she also only heard the first half of Lin Rui's words. Of course she didn't know the last half.
Cut!
Open that regular little box with a small glass bottle filled with light green liquid. Listen to Lin Rui, this should be the antidote to his poisoning.
“But what does he end up saying not to? Don't you want me to use it all?” With the antidote in hand, Claire is still thinking about the last thing Lin Rui said before she passed out.
This was the first thing she could have thought of as a caregiver, perhaps the amount of antidote she had in her hand. But that's not what Lin Rui said at the end. He just wanted to tell Claire not to unmask him, he didn't even know how to use the antidote.
“Forget it! Half first! If it doesn't get better, use the other half!” Noting Lin Rui's increasingly weak breathing, Claire made a quick decision.
Then, taking a needle out of the first aid kit, Claire skilfully unplugged the little glass bottle and sucked half the liquid inside.
“Hope it works!” Prayed softly.
Pfft ~
Claire had stuck the needle in Lin Rui's neck with a slight chirp. Next, instead of treating Matt immediately, she continued to observe Lin Rui.
“Breathe, Breathe, Breathe" seems to be the needle that just went down. In less than a minute, Lin Rui's breathing slowly became stronger and more rhythmic.
“Whoo! Looks like you're okay!” After observing Lin Rui's change, Claire finally let go of her constantly hanging heart.
Now that Lin Rui was all right, Claire turned to Matt. She didn't want to unmask Lin Rui, although she was curious, but there were more important things to do now. Claire had just simply checked Matt out, because Lin Rui's "sudden” poisoning had delayed her, and now she was only beginning to give Matt a closer look.
“Huh? How...” With Matt's clothes lifted, Claire was ready for a shock, but the scene in front of her gave her an unexpected whisper.
Matt did have a lot of injuries and a lot of obvious injuries to his bones, and from those injuries, he knew that Matt must have suffered a lot these past two days. But compared to Claire's brief look at Matt ten minutes ago, the wounds on Matt had recovered.
“It's amazing!” Though I don't know why Matt's wounds recovered so quickly, Claire didn't think about it either, but she exclaimed and proceeded to bandage him.
In fact, Matt's wounds recovered so quickly, in addition to his own extremely strong physical qualities, Lin Rui's low-level therapeutic spray was also instrumental. Although low-grade treatment sprays have no effect on poisoning, most of Matt's body is traumatized and falls within its therapeutic boundaries.
As such, Lin Rui's rescue of Night Warrior, though imperfect, was completed. But he won't be able to come home tonight, so I don't know what to think about when he wakes up.
