Heroes of Marvel

Chapter 65: Little Arguments

Two days later, inside a secret base by the Hudson River. Lin Rui sat safely on his couch, and as for Matt, he was frowning and watching Spider-Man Peter jump around the base.

“Wow! How dare you find such a hidden, safe and spacious secret base!” According to the address and phone number that Lin Rui left two days ago, Peter came after two days at home and was excited to visit the base.

“Is this a public place? There are big screen TVs and consoles?! This fridge and armory is great too, although I don't use those guns and bombs!” The foot kept roaming around the base and Peter's mouth didn't stop for a moment.

Whoo!

“Um, cucumber-flavored chips? It matches the taste of a good friend of mine!” Turning over the fridge filled with all kinds of food, Peter continued his crushing thoughts.

However, Lin Rui sat still on the couch after he picked up the cucumber-flavored chips and mentioned his best friend. Peter then threw the bag of chips back in, and he was relieved that a bag of chips seemed unlikely to connect him to Peter's good friend Jackson.

Whoo!

Finally, after a tour of the secret base, Peter sat on a chair in the common area, the chair that Jack himself had moved in the other day.

“Well..." Seeing Peter sitting in Jack's position, Lin Rui had intended to warn him, but he didn't say anything in the end.

“So this is our secret base. And you, Night Demon, are my other teammates?” Twisted his ass in Jack's chair, Peter looked at Matt and asked.

“…” has not responded.

Night Demon was really lazy to ignore this obviously little kid, and his gaze turned silently to Lin Rui. Although the mask is blocked, Lin Rui can also feel what Matt means, which is: Where did you find this strange?!

Though Matt knew Lin Rui was also a junior high school student, his actions and personality were relatively stable, and Matt never considered him a child. But Peter was different, looking like a childish, talkative junior.

“That, Spider-Man. Now that you're here today, of course you're sure to join our team. So, in order to better cooperate in future tasks, we need to know what you are capable of and why don't you introduce us?” After receiving Matt's silent message, Lin Rui took Peter's words and quickly changed the subject.

Of Marvel's superheroes, Spider-Man should be the biggest fan, and Lin Rui knows what Spider-Man is capable of. But after all, this is a reality, not a movie, so Lin Rui is also worried about deviations. Moreover, the film has been made in several versions, and Lin Rui doesn't know which Marvel world he is wearing.

“Well, of course. But later, you're going to introduce yourselves, and I'm curious about your abilities.” Upon hearing Lin Rui's words, Peter promised to come down, but also made his own demands.

“Sure, that's what teammates do.” Lin Rui certainly wouldn't mind telling Peter what he's capable of, anyway, they'll know later.

“Well, my abilities are mainly strength, agility, observation. Also, I built myself a special device, a transmitter that emits synthetic, powerful spider silk. As you probably know, I can use this device to move quickly in the building room.” Briefly describe your abilities and, of course, Peter concealed the origin of his abilities and the spider sensations that are not yet fully understood.

“Speaking of which, I was curious about your movements that day. Phantom Knight, can you really fly?” After introducing his abilities, Peter looked across the street at Lin Rui's curiosity and asked.

Although Peter's body mutated with great power and physical coordination, he was unable to fly directly from one building to another without any tools like Lin Rui's.

“Ha ha, that's just a special application of my abilities. Of course I can't fly, although I wish I could.” Laughing, Lin Rui explained briefly.

“What are your abilities? Are you a mutant?” Having heard Lin Rui's explanation, Peter first thought of one of the most easily thought of groups in the world with special abilities.

“No, I'm not a mutant. To put it this way, my powers are built up slowly through a way of exercising themselves, unlike those who are born with them.” Laughing, Lin Rui denied Peter's speculation and explained the origin of his abilities. Of course, he didn't explain his practice, something that people don't usually understand.

“Oh, I knew you wouldn't be one of those mutants!” Peter was a little excited to hear Lin Rui explain.

For historical reasons, the image of mutants in the minds of ordinary Americans is not very good. While there are moderate mutants like Professor Charles' X-Men, there are also fraternities led by Magneto Eric and underground evil forces hidden in the dark studying mutant human genes. The attitude of the United States Government towards mutants has not been very good, and ordinary mutants are not treated very well in their lives. So, most mutants today still hide their mutant abilities and hide among most ordinary people.

“Hmm? You don't like mutants?” Listening to Peter, Lin Rui seemed to feel a slight gap between the mutants from his tone.

This is not a good phenomenon, not to mention that Lin Rui will encounter many decent mutants in the future, and now there is one mutant in his team, Jack (a third-degree mutant with muscle strengthening abilities.) If Peter behaves too clearly, he fears Peter and Jack will not be able to get along. Although the forces of the mutants are severely divided, they are independent and even opposed to each other. However, they are unanimous in their status as mutants.

“Ah?! No, it's just that some mutants always feel like they're the front-end of human evolution, and I don't feel very comfortable with them.” Obviously, Peter is also influenced by organizations like Magneto that want mutants to rise up to lead mankind.

For Peter, mutants are just a product of the history of human development, with little specificity. The world is so mysterious, it's not just mutants who have special powers. Like Peter himself, he had such a powerful power when he was bitten by a spider, and he was still growing and controllable, much better than those uncontrollable mutants.

“Huh?! Is it a good place for a guy like you who thinks he represents all of humanity? While I do not agree very much with some of the views of the Brotherhood of Mutants, I must say that mutants are indeed an evolution relative to ordinary people.” Just as Peter made his point about the mutants, a voice suddenly appeared behind him, and it was two statements standing in the mutant's shoes.

Whoo!

“Well, who are you?” When he heard the voice behind him, Peter turned his head and saw a tall, hybrid handsome man in a casual outfit walking in. Of course, Peter didn't have a very good tone when he asked.

“Hey, Phantom Knight! You just let this kid sit in my chair and I thought this was private?!” Ignoring Peter's words, Jack walked straight to Lin Rui and asked, obviously he was upset with Peter.

“Well..." Lin Rui was just trying to get Peter to eat a little bit of a convergence of his words, but now things seem to be going somewhat unexpectedly.

“Hey! Who do you call a kid?!” Before Lin Rui could speak, Peter had jumped out of the chair and asked Jack aloud.

“Who else is here but you?" In the face of Peter's questioning, Jack went back without showing any weakness.

“You arrogant bastard!” How can Peter, so young and so soon superpowered, withstand a response like Jack, who has fired silk at him as soon as he raises his hand?

Whoops!

Elongated and sturdy spider silk sprayed instantly from inside Peter's wrist, shooting straight at Jack not far away, and Peter had to seal this guy's mouth with a spider web!

But Jack was no ordinary man, and by the time Peter raised his hand, he had already made a move. So when the spider silk came, a knife had been paddled.

Phew!

With a slight chirp, Peter's shot of spider silk was glued to Jack's knife. Though his purpose had not been achieved, Peter did not intend to end it like this, and the right hand connected to the spider silk pressed instantly to hand over Jack's knife. But how did Jack get him to do what he wanted and keep holding his knife in his hand?

Buzz ~

As such, an angle of mouth becomes a comparison of power. The spider silk connecting Peter and Jack was quickly stretched between the two and trembled slightly. As for Jack, his mutant abilities, combined with his cultivated half-hanging skills, made him not weaker in strength than Spider-Man. So the two of them were so stuck there.

Looking at the scene in front of me, Lin Rui didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But seeing Matt watching the show beside him, Lin Rui had to stand up.

Brush!

Whoo!

A flash of razor blade swung forward, and the bright red blade flashed inside the secret base.

Boom!

With a crisp sound, Peter's spider silk splits from the middle under a razor-sharp knife. The two men who had been confronting each other also took a slight step backwards because of the instant disappearance of each other's power, but the atmosphere between them was not mitigated by Lin Rui's hand.

“Hey, guys, I didn't ask you to fight each other! Jack, I'm sorry, Spider-Man just made your seat I didn't warn him. As for Spider-Man, your attitude towards mutants also needs to be corrected, there is no discrimination here!” Stopped between the two, Lin Rui spoke out loud. He didn't want to create a gap between the players he had so easily pulled over for such a small thing, there were rules to be had.

“Huh! I'll give you a face, Phantom Knight!” Jack's attitude eased when he heard Lin Rui's apology. After a glance at Peter, he slowly lowered his knife and then walked to his chair to sit down.

“Spider-Man, what about you?” Jack calmed down, and Lin Rui turned to Peter's side.

“Got it, I'll keep an eye out.” And knowing that what he just said would be a little upsetting for the mutants, Peter chose to show weakness.

“Well, that's OK! We're all partners in a team. What's wrong with a fight?” Well, that sounds a little wrong!

“Well, now that we're all here, let's discuss this action. ”
