Heroes of Marvel
Chapter 99: The World of the Millionaire I Don't Understand
Hurrah!
Tony flipped out the Spider-Man suit that Peter hid in the closet. Seeing that low-level Spider-Man suit, Tony threw it aside somewhat reluctantly.
“Don't do this! Mr. Stark!” Peter shouted helplessly when he grabbed the Spider-Man suit. Although he doesn't know how to expose himself as Spider-Man, he obviously has no choice for Tony right now.
“So you usually fly around in this building room in New York?” Clapping his hands, Tony looked at Peter, who was putting the Spider-Man suit back in the closet and asked.
“Mr. Stark, this has nothing to do with you!” There was some helplessness, Peter watched Tony speak.
“Hmm? Can you see with this on?” I don't know when Tony rolled out Tony's homemade Spider-Man eyes again.
Whoo!
“I can see! Because something happened, my senses became very sensitive. I mean, it's so sensitive, I need to wear this to make me more focused.” A pair of glasses that Tony had grabbed and played with, Peter briefly explained.
“Really? So when you find yourself with power that ordinary people don't have, you decide to put on tights and go out and fight criminals?” Looking at Peter a little panicked, Tony continued.
“Is this what I think I should do? Isn't that right?” Peter answered seriously, listening to Tony.
“Ideas are good, but do you really want to help people in this way all the time? Guardianship is heavy. Are you sure you can keep it up?” When Peter answered, Tony went on to ask.
“Of course, I'm sure! ”
“Well, since we all want to protect others, maybe I can help you.” Nodded, Tony looked at Peter and said.
“Mr. Stark, what do you mean?” Peter was made a little monstrous by Stark's words.
“It's my intention to provide you with a high-tech hero set so that you can better help others. As for this garbage, throw it away.” Though Tony was supposed to be looking for the Phantom Knight, Peter was one of his accidents. Perhaps with Tony's help, Spider-Man could be a real superhero.
“Really? Mr. Stark?” I can't seem to believe what I heard, Peter asked with surprise.
“Of course, but in the future we'll be one of them. If you don't do well, I'll take the spider suit back.” Nodded, Tony gave Peter a positive answer.
“Yay!” his Spider-Man suit has been spouted by Phantom Knight, and now with funding from Iron Man Tony, how can Peter not be excited?
“Don't get too excited. I have a few questions for you right now.” Seeing Peter happy, Tony is finally coming to his subject today.
“Well, what's the problem, Mr. Stark?” Peter, who is emerging, asks quickly.
“I know you and Jackson are good friends. Does he know you're Spider-Man?” That's the first question Tony asked.
Tony has been speculating about Lin Rui's identity since he learned that Spider-Man that Jarvis found was Peter. A young man who can come up with magical water to treat palladium poisoning, and a street hero in New York, is a good friend, can easily connect these things to some conclusions. Perhaps Lin Rui himself is a street hero. Thinking about the appearance of Lin Rui and the Phantom Knight on the day of the Obadiah incident, and the relationship between the Phantom Knight and Spider-Man, Peter and Lin Rui, Tony had some speculation.
“Jackson? He doesn't know, I never told anyone I was Spider-Man.” When he heard Tony's question, Peter shook his head and replied. Of course, Peter did not know that Lin Rui was the Phantom Knight, otherwise Lin Ruiko would be exposed at this time.
“Don't know? Am I wrong?” When Peter answered, Tony frowned slightly. “What about the Phantom Knight? Do you know who he is? Or does he know who you are? ”
“Phantom Knight? I don't know who he is. But he knows who I am, and I let him see my face in an operation.” Shaking his head, Peter said he didn't know who the Phantom Knight was.
“He knows who you are and you don't know who he is. Maybe this guy was hiding it on purpose.” Though Tony is not sure that Lin Rui is the Phantom Knight, he is still suspicious.
However, even if Lin Rui is a Phantom Knight, Tony still can't explain where he came from, since he can cure his own Palladium poisoning. Is there a street hero or some amazing young man with a huge, high-tech backup behind him?
“Then I suppose you don't know who the Night Demon is?” Tony asked again, suppressing the doubt in his heart.
“Uh ~ I don't know. Although we are in a team, we all respect the right of others to remain confidential about their real identities.” Shaking his head, Peter also didn't know who Matt was.
“OK, I understand your concerns. Well, I want you to give the Phantom Knight a message and tell him I want to meet him. Iron Man, Tony Stark wants to talk to him face to face.” There was no more news from Peter, and Tony had to let him talk, and some things were better said in person.
“Well, I get it.” Nodded, Peter seriously promised to get there. Iron Man wants to meet the Phantom Knight, and Peter's two different idols are about to meet, which is very exciting news.
“Well, I just wanted to talk to you today, and let you bring a word to the Phantom Knight.” When it was over, Tony got up and was ready to leave.
“Mr. Stark, you're not gonna tell anybody, are you? I'm the Spider-Man thing.” Peter hastily questioned Tony as he was leaving.
“Don't worry, I'll protect your little secret.” Smiled, Tony said yes.
“Thank you, Mr. Stark! ”
“Oh, right. I promised I'd send it to you when your spider set is ready. Check it out.” Walking to the door, Tony suddenly remembered something and turned to Peter.
“Yes, Mr. Stark, I'll look forward to it! ”
Then Tony left Peter's house. Aunt May also wanted to leave Tony for dinner at home, but she also knew that people like Tony Stark might not be used to her cooking, so she didn't stay much longer.
Leaving Spider-Man Peter's house, Tony drove his luxury sports car toward the location where Jarvis had provided him with Lin Rui. Whether Lin Rui is a Phantom Knight or not, Tony needs to ask him about the glass of water and the decontamination of Palladium.
……
“Hey! You just changed two simple parts, why charge me $500?!” As soon as Tony parked the car outside a car repair shop, Tony heard Lin Rui coming from the store. Apparently, he was very dissatisfied with the repair cost of $500.
“You know, your jeep is very old, and I've changed two parts for you, and it keeps running, or you'll have to throw it in the junkyard. Five hundred is scarce!” On the one hand, Lin Rui's newly arrived jeep was devalued, and the owner also said 500 was the normal price.
“Throw it in the garage?! I just got this. I picked it out of the used car market for days before I bought it!” Lin Rui almost didn't piss him off when he heard the owner. Although his jeep does look old, it still performs well, otherwise Lin Rui wouldn't have bought it either.
“Anyway, the repair cost is 500, and if you don't want to be expensive, I'll replace your old parts. But you still have to pay me a hundred labor fees.” The owner is obviously a lossless owner. Anyway, it's Lin Rui's car, not his.
“You!..." Five hundred bucks is not a lot of money for Lin Rui today, but he doesn't want to be pitted either.
“Can I swipe my card?” Just as Lin Rui thought about theorizing again, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind him.
“Ah! ~ You are… Mr. Stark!” Lin Rui hasn't turned around yet, and the owner in front of him has called out with a glare.
“Mr. Stark, what brings you here?” Seeing the owner's surprise, Lin Rui turned around and saw Tony slowly coming.
“So, can I swipe the card?” Ignoring Lin Rui, Tony asked again.
“Are you going to pay for his repairs? Absolutely!” Tony asked again, and the owner replied hastily. When you're done, the owner's going to the back to get the swipe.
“No, I'm not paying him for the repairs. I was just wondering if I could swipe my card if I bought your store.” But just as the owner turned around, Tony suddenly shook his head and added two sentences. It was normal to hear the previous sentence, and after hearing the latter, the owner turned around and settled down.
And Lin Rui, who stood beside him, stood silently and watched Tony pretend to be more than he understood.
