Heroes of Marvel

Chapter 140: Ninety Years Old Veterans

Tony was at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters when Lin Rie woke up from Tony's luxury villa and saw news on TV about the Green Devil, who was invited by Nick Fury. Nick's reason for inviting Tony was to thank Tony for his attack yesterday in New Mexico, which not only protected civilians, but also kept S.H.I.E.L.D. from being ugly. The real reason, of course, was that Tony arrived at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and Nick personally came to an office before he really showed up.

“Chief Nick, I don't know where you got this guy, but he does look pretty much alike.” Tony spoke faintly to Nick Fry, looking at the soldier in front of him with a decent face and a healthy body. If Nick had just brought him here to see an American captain coser, he really felt Nick's brain was broken.

That's right, the soldier standing in front of Tony is exactly what every American is familiar with: Captain America. But it has to be said that this coser should be at its highest level. This soldier is no different from the captain of the United States in history, in his face, in his temperament, in his eyes, in his body.

In addition to his heroic acts in time of war, the United States captain's ability to gain such high visibility in the United States is one of the reasons why he has left so many precious video material behind. What a hero wants to be remembered all the time is propaganda and what he leaves for future generations, and these captains of the United States have done it. So, only one of the wartime heroes, Captain America, achieved the goal of becoming an American idol.

“He's not a coster, is he, Captain Rogers?” I guessed Tony's performance, and Nick smiled and said that the last sentence was obviously with the soldier.

“Tony Stark, son of Mr. Howard Stark. I didn't expect Mr. Howard, who was so flirtatious at the time, to finally find his true love, and he must be glad to be old.” Just after Nick named Rogers, the soldier suddenly looked at Tony and said, "And I'm sorry about Mr. Howard's death, a great scientist. ”

As Director Nick just shouted, this soldier is not the top coser of Captain America, but the real Captain Steve Rogers of the United States. In fact, Nick Fury had already found an ice-covered Steve a few months earlier, but in order to get Steve awake to adjust to modern life, Director Nick had been giving him some counter-terrorist assignments these days to better embrace modern life in Steve's most familiar way. After all, he's an old man who's been under the ice for 70 years.

And one of the most important links in Nick's Avengers program is Captain Rogers, a soldier of the finest character, justice, and idolatry for other Avengers, who made him an indispensable leader in Nick's Avengers Alliance. And after Nick repeatedly solicited Tony's troubles, he had to take out Rogers' card.

“How much do you know about my father?! And who told you to talk to me like that?” Tony, who had a relaxed face, heard Steve Rogers like a cat stepped on his tail and suddenly got excited and yelled at Captain Rogers.

Tony, who enjoyed life easily for half his life, actually had an irreparable sadness in his heart, which was the tragic death of his parents. As Captain Rogers said, Howard Stark was no worse than Tony when he found true love in his forties, Tony's mother. And then in his fifties, he had Tony with his wife, so Howard was very fond of Tony. This also led to Tony being smaller when Tony's parents died accidentally, something that was a permanent pain in his heart. So when Steve Rogers mentioned his father, Tony blew up.

“Steve Rogers, that's my name. As for your father, I worked with him for a while, and he helped me tremendously during the war. It can be said that without Mr. Howard, there would be no victory for me in time of war.” In the face of Tony's questioning, Rogers didn't care, but introduced himself seriously, "so I guess I was kind of someone who knew your father better, and we were still friends. ”

“Steve Rogers? Oh, that's a lot of acting. Chief Nick, you want me to believe that a guy who's been dead for 70 years is standing in front of me right now. Even if Captain America wasn't dead, he'd be 90 by now. If you're looking for someone to play Captain America, you should get an old man.” With Steve's calm answer, Tony also slowly calmed down his mood and then spoke to Nick as he watched the show.

When Tony said he was a ninety-year-old, Steve had a calm brow and jumped. Though his body remained in his early twenties for the day it was frozen, Steve nevertheless had to accept the fact that he was almost nineties. A young man of a very good age woke up to be a grandfather's rank, something that nobody could be happy about.

“Tony, there's no evidence in history that Captain Rogers is dead, just missing. And I got Captain Rogers back a while ago, and he's been frozen under the ice, so time stalled on him.” In the face of Tony's disdain, Nick had to explain.

“Well, if it was so simple to stay young, I guess all the millionaires in the world would go crazy.” Tony obviously didn't believe it when he heard Nick's explanation. Being frozen for 70 years and finally waking up like a normal person, this kind of thing doesn't seem possible to Tony.

“That's because Captain Rogers has super soldier serum inside him, which keeps Captain Rogers physically fit to live under the ice.” To convince Tony that Rogers was the real captain of the United States, Nick had to be patient to continue explaining.

“Super soldier serum? That thing that only works perfectly with Captain America?” Listen to Chief Nick, Tony. This is serious. If the captain of the United States really wasn't dead and frozen under the ice, he could have been alive because of the super soldier's serum.

“Yes, Captain Rogers is the perfect super soldier. Super soldier serum, to say the least, is tailored for Rogers.” Nick was on the sidelines again, “and now you believe he's Captain America? ”

“Even if he was captain of the United States, he was just a ninety-year-old, old-school soldier out of touch with the times. Nick, what the hell did you call me here for?” Now that Nick's talking about it, Tony has no point in questioning it. Instead, if he really wanted to verify it, he'd know by taking a sample of Steve's blood, and Nick wouldn't lie to himself about it.

“Mr. Tony, I'm only twenty-seven. Besides, I'm friends with your father. Shouldn't you show me some respect?” Steve, standing by, can't stand Tony at last. He's only 87 now, even if he counts his 70 years of ice!

“Oh, is it time to split the ranks?” In the face of Steve's discomfort, Tony didn't give a damn.

“Hey, hey! Gentlemen, I asked you two to meet, not to watch you fight!” Just as the gunpowder smell between Tony and S.H.I.E.L.D. slowly escalated, Director Nick plugged it in on time.

“Tony, I'm inviting you here today, mainly to get to know Captain Rogers. You know I've been forming the Avengers Alliance, and Captain Rogers will be a very important part of this team. If you are willing to join us, I hope you will cooperate well.” Turn around, Nick still wants Tonila in.

“I've been thinking about this, but until you've completely resolved the issue I mentioned last time, I don't think we may be able to cooperate more deeply for the time being.” Step back and sit on the chair, Tony responding faintly.

In fact, after Nick's long lobbying, Tony's almost ready to say yes. After all, Nick could use secrecy as a pretext for his father's legacy, but Nick formed the Avengers Coalition with Tony in mind and in agreement. But Tony still remembers what the Phantom Knight said before and said to himself that there was a lot of trouble hidden inside S.H.I.E.L.D., and Tony didn't want to be stabbed in the back after joining the Avengers.

“Well, I've been investigating that incident covertly, and I've had some ideas.” There was some helplessness and Nick had to accept Tony's excuse. And he did notice the discord inside S.H.I.E.L.D., and he was digging up the mice a little bit.

“That's all right. I'll go home first. I have work to do at home.” Jarvis has just informed Tony Lin Rae that he is awake and that he has a few more things to say to Lin Rae.

“Well, Tony, there's one more thing I need your help with.” Just as Tony turned around and was about to leave, Nick called him back.

“What is it?”

“I want you to help Captain Rogers adapt faster to modern life, you know, even the most advanced soldiers need to relax and rest. ”

“Me? You want me to take Captain America out and relax? Adapting to modern life?” Seems to be hearing something funny, Tony's strange tone of questioning.

“Kind of lets you get to know each other better, and Captain Rogers has promised.” Nick knew Tony would react, but he kept insisting. As for Steve, he had promised, but he didn't know Tony would be such a person.

“Well, I'd love to take this ninety-year-old soldier back to life. But I'm leaving now. I'll be in touch.” Tony, who was going to say no, seemed to think of something and suddenly said yes.

Tony then turned around and waved away from the room, leaving behind an ugly Steve and a helpless Nick.
