Chapter 389: Thor's Discovery
Lin Rui had left with his little Jeep when Thor walked to the Front Office of Stray Dog House with the newspaper. There was some doubt that Thor had not sent his friend away. He had seen Thor's enthusiasm for his friend last time.
“Hey, Thor, why didn't you just send your friend? I think he left in a hurry.” Seeing Thor come over, Ben asks curiously. After two weeks of getting along, Ben had completely accepted a big guy like Thor to take care of his dog at a stray dog house. And while Thor is handsome and attractive to girls, he doesn't seem to have noticed it himself, which would have been appreciated.
Faced with Ben's problem, Thor didn't answer, just looking at the newspaper, and that picture and the huge headline in the first edition seemed appealing. Thor did not respond, and naturally noticed, and then saw the newspaper in his hand.
“Are you interested in the news, too? Now the world doesn't know what it's like, the captain of the United States is resurrected, street heroes are the main focus, the mysterious S.H.I.E.L.D., the more mysterious forces of evil. Previously, I thought I could only see this in comics.” Ben made his point about the newspaper Thor read.
Obviously, there is a nasty attitude towards what is happening in the world today. After all, while these things were still happening before, they would not have been as visible to the public as they imagined. A few months ago in New York, a few famous street heroes began to emerge, came to the crossroads of Iron Man, went to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in Washington, D.C., followed by the resurrection of the national hero, Captain Steve Rogers, and finally the destruction of the Golden Gate Bridge last week, and now the development of the world is beyond ordinary people's comprehension.
“The world needs superheroes? Yes, but who is obliged to do so much for the safety of others? But I'm a fan of Captain America and Iron Man, and they're supposed to be superheroes. Perhaps this fucking world needs people like them to save it.” Without Thor's response, Ben continued.
“Superhero? The world needs saving? Ben, do you think there are people who have been secretly and silently watching over you and protecting you from the evil forces?” Finally, after two paragraphs of this, Thor reacted.
“This… of course. In addition to the captain of the United States and the Iron Man, whom I have just described as familiar to all, we in New York have a number of small, well-known street heroes who are closer to the civilian population and who have been guarding our cities.” After listening to Thor, Ben thought a little and answered seriously.
Seeing Ben say that, Thor seemed to see a flash of light in his eyes, "New York's street hero? What do you have?”
“Spider-Man should be most famous by now. My friend's cousin saved her from a car accident half a month ago, or at least she should be lying in the hospital.” It seemed that Thor was a little interested in these, and Ben went on to answer.
“By the way, Spider-Man belongs to the Guardian Alliance. If you're interested in street heroes in New York, you can check out the Guardians' Alliance fan website, where some of New York's most famous street heroes are.” After Spider-Man, Ben added another sentence.
“Guardians League? Ben, can I use your computer?” When he heard Ben, Thor threw the newspaper in his hand to the side and asked in a hurry.
“Well, you use it. But are you really interested in them? I'm a member. Oh, log in to my account to see more things.” Seeing Thor's reaction, Ben was curious to say.
Finally, Ben logged into his fan account to the Guardians Alliance fan website on Tor. Ben is not a loyal fan, but because he usually walks around the site, he doesn't rank low, and he sees more videos and photos of members of the Guardian Alliance than people who aren't fans.
Speaking of Guardian Alliance fan websites, Jerry has become an official website since joining Guardian Alliance. Jerry would often publish things that could be revealed to the public, like which gang they swept up and which drug cartel they took.
In addition, Jerry has created their own close-up home page for each member of the Guardian Alliance. Everyone's close-up homepage is full of individual videos and photos, including the most active Spider-Man videos and photos, as well as many Phantom Knights. However, Lin Rui used to mostly fight at night, so seeing photos and videos only had a mysterious feeling.
“This is Spider-Man, who seems to be just a teenager under the age of twenty. I really don't know how he got this strength. And the spider suit he was wearing, if I had that suit, I would have flown!” There's a Spider-Man poster on the front page, pointing to that poster for Tolkop.
Along Ben's introduction, Thor took a closer look at Spider-Man's videos and photos, many of them of Spider-Man using his web over the street. After looking at the image of Spider-Man, Thor had some confusion in his eyes, and he thought this flying “spider” was familiar, but he couldn't remember.
“This is the Phantom Knight, a mysterious street hero earlier than Spider-Man showed up. Because he mostly shows up at night, there's not a lot of video about him. Speaking of which, the Phantom Knight is probably Spider-Man's senior.” After watching Spider-Man, Ben pointed out the Phantom Knight page.
Introducing the Phantom Knight, Ben didn't notice, and when Thor saw the Phantom Knight's body on the computer, his eyes changed dramatically, like he found something very unexpected.
“By the way, speaking of the Alliance of Guardians, you just read about the destruction of the Golden Gate Bridge in the paper. Only S.H.I.E.L.D. was mentioned in the report, but a champion coalition appeared to have joined forces with S.H.I.E.L.D. online. In the end, however, their opponents were also very strong, blowing up the Golden Gate Bridge, wondering if anyone had been injured, and there had been no new official video updates this week. ”
“You know S.H.I.E.L.D.? This is a global organization that appears in front of the public with the captain of the United States to protect the security of the entire planet. However, in my view, S.H.I.E.L.D. seems to be bragging about how it can protect the entire planet if this terrorist can't handle it now.” There was no intention of waiting for Thor to speak, Ben followed by a spit.
Phew ~
Just at the end of Ben's vomit, Tor next to him suddenly stood up and walked away.
“Hey, Thor, where are you going? ”
However, Ben's cry, Thor, did not respond and stepped out of the stray dog house.
Ten minutes later, Thor had arrived in an open space behind the stray dog house. He still had the newspaper he had thrown aside, and Thor's face didn't see how he was feeling right now.
“Jackson, is that what you've been doing? I understand you need my help. Don't worry, I'll help you protect the world.” Looking at the Golden Gate Bridge destroyed in the newspaper, Thor spoke to himself.
After seeing the phantom knight on the computer, Thor almost instantly identified himself as Jackson Lynn, his first good friend to come to Earth. Others may not be able to see it by its appearance alone, but Thor can be sure that this is one of the abilities he retains.
Whoo!
After talking to himself, Thor threw the paper aside. Then, Thor slowly closed his eyes and gradually squeezed his hands on both sides.
“Myrneal...”
