Chapter 463: New Explosives?

The next afternoon, Tony took Rodeo out for afternoon tea at a roadside fast-food restaurant on the outskirts of New York. Though a super-rich man, Tony also has his own unique flavour, and the food on the side of the road may not suit his appetite. Of course, Tony enjoyed the feeling of being recognized on the side of the road.

“Roddy, is there anything we can't say? What exactly is that Mandal?” Sitting at the dining table in the living room of the fast food restaurant, Tony looked at his friend Colonel Roddy in front and asked.

“Tony, you know these are military secrets.” Looking at Tony, Roddy said helplessly.

“Of course I know, why else would I ask you?” Tony replied irrelevantly. As Tony, there's no excuse for military secrecy to stop him.

“Well, actually, I've had a lot of headaches lately, and the Army was pressured to release Iron Man. That mandal, we still don't know where it came from, just like it came out of the sky.” Knowing that Tony couldn't get to what he wanted lately, Roddy started answering.

“Don't you know? Looks weird. What about those explosions? You should know that Stark was originally built by the military, and we have a series of smart bomb dismantling equipment that doesn't need to be manually operated, which is very safe.” When he heard Roddy, Tony picked his eyebrows and went on.

“Those explosions… there were actually more than three, out of a total of thirteen, although three were declared outside in order not to provoke panic among the domestic population. Moreover, we have so far not found out what those explosives were. So there is no defensive response at all.” Roddy frowned when he heard Tony's suggestion.

It's not that the military doesn't want to use more professional bomb dismantling equipment, it's just that they don't know what explosives are right now.

When I heard what Roddy said, Tony's whole popularity changed. Tony can't imagine how many more of the thirteen bomb attacks would have cost him. Moreover, Tony was very angry and confused when there were 13 bomb attacks and the military didn't even know what the explosives were.

“Thirteen bomb attacks, you don't even know what the explosives are?! Even if they had any new explosives, wouldn't they have any residue?” Tony, very angry in his heart, asked directly.

“No! No explosives were found in the blast range, only the injured and the destroyed buildings. That is why the military was compelled to announce that Iron Man would be used to fight back.” Roddy's people knew the anger in Tony's heart and what he didn't taste for himself. However, the bombing was indeed very bizarre and totally unprotected.

“Really so strange?” Tony's eyes were a lot heavier when he heard Roddy's answer.

Though Tony's technology is supposed to be at the top of the planet, he doesn't really think that anybody in the world can surpass himself in any particular technology. Because Tony is not the only genius on the planet, and he's just focused on physics, energy and artificial intelligence, and other disciplines, though hunting is involved, don't spend much energy after all. But if it's a weapon thing, Tony doesn't realize there's something in the world that he can't help.

“Exactly! So, if you really want to help, provide a few more iron and steel jackets.” Roddy is now just hoping for more Iron Man to react to Mandall's deadly blow to the kind of explosion that he can't detect at all.

“Well, since this is so serious, I'll consider offering you some more Iron Man. However, you have to assure me that these Iron Men will not be used to help the military get involved in the battle on the front field.” After listening to Colonel Roddy, Tony thought about it and answered seriously.

“Don't worry, I've always been on your side of the road.” Roddy is obviously very happy with Tony's support.

“I believe you, Roddy. But don't you really need my help? You know, I have a lot of resources available right now. The kind of magical bomb attack that the military can't find any explosives, but maybe it's not a conventional technology product?” Tony was still interested in that weird explosion after he promised Roddy help.

If Tony hadn't thought too much about it before, he might have just thought that the explosive should be a new type of special material that would disappear completely with the explosion. But after seeing the amazing things in S.H.I.E.L.D., X-Men, and the Guardians' League, Tony's mind has broadened a lot, and he understands that there are many things in the world that science can't explain for the time being. If those explosions were caused by people with special capabilities, it would be perfectly normal for the military to be unable to locate the explosives and cause them.

However, because this happens on the battlefield after all, people with special abilities are generally referred to specialized departments, such as S.H.I.E.L.D. But the incident was still being dealt with by the military, and Tony raised the question. Tony wouldn't mind if it was someone with special abilities who did it in the dark.

“Are you saying… it could be a mutant or an alien?” When I heard Tony's words, Roddy's eyes flashed and asked softly.

It's not that Roddy didn't think about it, but it's a very sensitive topic in society after all. Mutants may be resisted by many in society, but they will not intervene in the war, especially in the face of government, which will make their situation even more difficult. Moreover, the military has invited special services to test it, not the hands of the mutants.

“It should not be. The military has also asked the relevant authorities to test it and there is no residue of mutant capability.” Shaking his head, Roddy continued.

“Isn't it? That looks like a new type of explosive. Let me know in time if there is any progress, and I am very interested in this mandal.” When Roddy answered, Tony frowned and said.

“Yes, with Iron Man's support, finding this Mandal should be fine.” Nodded, Roddy promised.

“Mr. Stark! Can I have your autograph?” Just as Tony and Roddy were finishing their conversation, they ran over to the two kids and watched Tony shout with excitement.

“Ha ha! Sure!” Tony promised with a smile as he looked at his child worshipping him.

Then the little boy put one of his paintings on the table, and Tony picked up the little boy's crayon and signed it.

“Thank you, Mr. Stark! ”
