Chapter 664: Changes in X-Men

When he heard Magneto Eric, Professor Charles didn't answer immediately, but moved on, and Eric followed. Professor Charles slowly stopped after coming to the center of this vast secret chamber.

“They are the logistics of the X-Men, and as for the other X-Men, they are either on leave or on mission.“ After a brief sweep around the area, Professor Charles answered Eric's question slightly.

“Logistics? What are you doing, studying mutant genes?” When Professor Charles answered, Eric's eyes flashed and his tone was a bit serious.

As a child, Magneto Eric hated the behavior of studying mutant human genes. In Eric's view, mutants have to be higher than ordinary people, who are better than ordinary people. And their genes are perfect, and if someone's going to study their genes, it seems to Eric, either to fight mutants or to exploit them.

“The Department of Logistics is, of course, used to handle various logistical matters. After all, the X-Men, whether they think or equip themselves, are troublesome now, and they can't handle it themselves.“ Professor Charles responded calmly in the face of Wan Magneto's questioning.

“What do you think about me studying mutant human genes?” Of course in the back, Professor Charles looked at Eric and asked back.

Charles certainly knows that Magneto Eric doesn't like people studying mutant genes, but it's very helpful for mutants to want to make progress and figure out their specific genes.

Mutants with higher mutation levels, because mutant genes are more stable, have a normal life. But mutants with low levels of mutation, their abilities are not only out of control, but can also make their lives difficult. So studying mutant genes can help these lower mutants better.

What Professor Charles has always wanted is not for mutants to dominate the world, but for mutants to live as normal as most ordinary people do today. All Magneto needed was a powerful mutant, and he saw that as long as the mutant was strong enough to unify the planet, all the problems with the mutant would be solved. But that's impossible.

“Equipment?" You mean those things? “Not concerned about Charles' bland tone, he heard Eric return pointing to a set of semi-finished suit on a workbench next to him and asking.

On the bench Eric pointed to, a suit decorated with black and dark silver lines was undergoing various tests. Obviously, this suit is the X-Men's gear.

“These are just some of them, and we've been making progress. Through cooperation with other forces in the world, we X-Men are also evolving. Otherwise, how do you think your mutant fraternity members lose so easily?” Seeing that Eric noticed the suit, Charles answered softly, not forgetting at the end to remind Eric that his mutant brotherhood members had it in their hands.

“Huh! What if they lose? As long as I don't lose!” Hearing Charles, Magneto snorted.

However, while Eric still maintains his position as the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, his mind has been restless since just now. Whether it was a previous battle in Washington or choosing to see these changes within the X-Men, Eric felt that the Brotherhood of the Mutants was far less than the X-Men. In fact, if the mutant brothers hadn't been supported by a Magnetic King of their own, it would have been a whole tray of scattered sand.

“True, you didn't lose. But that's only temporary, Eric. How many more years can you last?” There was no denial of Magneto's words, Charles continued.

Charles has always been very concerned about his old friend. But if the world isn't one they can stir up at will. Whether Magneto or Professor Charles, they are old, and their abilities have slowly begun to decline. Where is the future of the Earth's mutants as their stronghold moves away from the world?

“At least not less than you! Charles!” When Charles asked the question, Eric answered with a bright eye.

It seems that Professor Charles has said nothing more, knowing that it is impossible to speak Magneto alone in two words. Then, their long-time best friend continued to wander around in this secret room, and Professor Charles took the Magneto on a tour.

Didi ~

Just as Charles was walking around the logistics room with Eric, a red dot suddenly popped up on the screen at the side of the workbench, followed by a tone.

Whoo!

When the tone came out, a blue figure suddenly ran from another direction. Without going to see the Guest Magneto, Hank the Running Beast has been operating on the stage.

Ta-da! Ta-da!

“Did you just say the mission?“ Seeing some constantly changing data on that screen, Magneto's eyes flashed a few times and asked Charles.

The X-Men were founded to protect peace-loving mutants on the planet, and for that reason they often go out and deal with mutant forces everywhere, as Magneto Eric knows. And now that the red light point appears, Eric wonders if there's another mutant in the place who needs help.

“There's a mission, but it's not what you think. Since you have allies, there have been some special emergencies where X-Men can turn to reliable allies for help if they can't make it.” In the face of Eric's question, Charles answered faintly.

But Eric just didn't notice. When Professor Charles saw the red light point on that screen, it was a special light coming out of his eyes, which obviously was not a hint of an ordinary task.

“Well, Charles, I know what you're up to. I've seen the X-Men change, and if I say I'm surprised by your change, aren't you satisfied?” Looking away from the light screen, Eric looked at Charles and asked.

“Was it an accident or did you think it was a good change?” Looking into Eric's eyes, Charles asked seriously.

Eric: “…”

“Let's go out, there are other places to show you around. Haven't been back in years, so many places you should have forgotten.” Knowing that Magneto would not answer that question, Professor Charles said while controlling the wheelchair towards the outside.
