Herscherik (Reincarnated Prince Series)
Chapter Eight: Princes, Deacons and Traps Part Three
As hot and humid as midsummer, Hershelik woke up.
But my vision never clears up even though my eyes are open. Rather, it remains cloudy so that the smoke can get in. No, the room was full of smoke, not analogy.
"No way fire!?
For a moment, Hershelik almost fell into a state of panic, but when he panicked, he passed it and became calm.
This is a gift of training from a previous life. It is also a good memory now that the headmaster's bee sermon has flown to students who are not serious in evacuation training when they were in elementary school, as their area is a district thriving in disaster prevention training.
There's always a gentle principal,
"Half the students would have died if this was a real fire. There's no way you can do it for real, even though you can't do it with training!
and scolded the students lined up in the school yard and made them redo their training from the beginning.
If evacuation time doesn't get to your target, start over. If we discover a futile chat, we all start over. There was no more futile chatter to do the numbers, and the principal said with a satisfying smile to the students aligning themselves with the ranks of the army.
"Those are our students. I'm sure there's no shortage of any of you in production.
The elementary school I attended because of this still only takes evacuation training seriously.
If the lower grades are what you want to slap your mouth at in vain, the higher grades will be careful, and the lower grades will apprentice the higher grades that align properly. Everyone cooperated in evacuation training, which was handed down from time to time at home school.
Hershelik quickly crawls to the ground, having regained his calm with the experience gained at that time.
In a fire, the smoke stays at the top of the room and there's fresh air down there. I just want to avoid inhaling smoke and losing consciousness.
Hershelik leads the ground to the crawling door.
The door ahead, which I finally followed, didn't move, wondering if it was fixed to something.
(No way, embedded?
I couldn't think of a question about who.
I could easily predict who would be after me here. Because that Earl Grimm is the most likely one.
Hershelik looks at his pocket watch as he crawls. Time hasn't gone around late at night yet.
(Evidence gathering noticed?... No, it's too fast for that.
Besides, it is hard to believe that Crowe made a mistake when he easily broke into the royal castle.
(Absolutely desperate, Kanji said to rest all the time?
The fireman has already broken into the room. Even as you escape through the window, it is impossible from the third floor on your own.
"Don't be in this room.
What I remember is his words.
That's what he said. So Hershelik decides his belly.
Go back and get the blanket that hasn't burned yet and use the magic power of your pocket watch to create water.
I praise myself for remembering some of the magic I could do with a pocket watch for when something happened.
The magic of creating water is one thing to drink now, and the magic of doing it with floating magic cannot create enough water to sink a fire. But I could do enough to wet the blanket.
Hershelik wears a wet blanket and moves forward with a crawl to a place that hasn't burned in the room yet, where there isn't much to burn.
(Cro, because I'm waiting.
When Hershelik so decides, he shrinks and waits as long as he can to put the wet blanket against his mouth.
But the hand of the fiery demon approached to his immediate side.
It was not until Crowe discovered a number of supporting documents that he noticed the anomaly in the separate residence.
In the study he snuck in, the supporting documents were like mountains.
Among them, Hershelik chooses the one he instructs and turns it into the inside pocket of the jacket. The intrusion into this mansion, with no guards, no ties, was an easier job than I thought. And when I looked at the window to go back, the hills of the apartment lit up red and bright.
As soon as he recognizes the anomaly, Crowe takes immediate action.
He flew without hesitation when he opened the window. And as he grabbed at the branches of the tree just around the corner, and as he spun up the iron rod and stood on the branches, he pierced and jumped the knife that had been held at some point onto the trunk of the tree.
Thanks to the stabbing of the knife, the fall velocity slows, descending to the ground without sound, while at the same time he rushes out towards a separate residence on the hill. His quickness never diminished when it came to sewing between the trees.
For a moment, the wind cut sounded.
Crowe misses that slight sound, reflectively hiding behind the tree. At the next moment, two arrows continued to protrude in the trunk of the tree.
"Avoiding this is just like" Shadow Fang. "
"…… Who is it?
From a hidden tree, Crowe makes his gaze run around to find the Lord of his voice.
(How do you know I'm a Shadow Fang?
It was a slightly shady man with thin lines that emerged from the shade of a tree, as if to mock an alarming clo.
I do think we met a few times when we were in the back guild, but we never had a conversation about that to the wrong extent either.
"Don't look strange. It's already famous back there, isn't it?" Shadow Fang "disappeared. Most of them think they're finally screwed, and well, I thought so too..."
That said, the man, uh, snorts.
"I have to buy it from an informer. The lead butler of the seventh prince is the same person as Shadow Fang. You won't notice. How did you get in well?
I guess the word had the color of jealousy in it. A man who could only live in the back took the stage.
(Shit, should I have stopped talking to the informer?
Crowe struck his inner tongue, but immediately changes his mind.
Intelligence stores sell information as long as they have money. Sell fair to everyone. Whether they're noble or ordinary citizens, criminals or not, it doesn't matter.
"Follow me, huh?
"No, that's right. I'm not that free either. They asked me to look for you and bring you here. I had no idea, so I bought it from an informer. If I told you the truth about the report, both my client and I would have done the same thing first, so I took him and handed him this.
I wondered how contractually it would be not to tell the truth, but the fact that the other person broke with it meant that the other person also tried to make it a lot worse.
It has nothing to do with Cro now, but it was a nauseating story.
(In the meantime, I'll have to erase the traces of 'Shadow Fang' when I get back.
Failure to do so was more obvious than seeing fire when Hershelik would suffer later.
"So, my current employer hired us to threaten the residents here... well, you know why I talked so far?
The man laughs. I also knew what it meant. There are multiple signs of people around.
(Is the number of people fifteen?
Their weapons glow in the moonlight.
"The employer wants that prince to disappear. We already have a special bonus if we stop you here or kill you in the sea of fire. Then, if I killed Shadow Fang, it would be foiled.
Clo turns his emotionless eyes to a man who would be sure of his victory. That was his face when he did his job.
"……… you are the ones who get the wrong idea.
Was he once dreaded of being a 'shadow fang' until he deliberately listened to his opponent's mouth and surrounded him?
That's just one thing, I just wanted information.
To find the asshole who did this stupid thing.
"You would often say to the dead that they have no mouth.
They had already used the information.
From the faceless look of it, let's go.
The expression never showed hershelik, it was a brutal grin.
