Herscherik (Reincarnated Prince Series)

Chapter Six: Commercial Prosperity, Kidnapping and the Wonder Prince Part Three

Hershelik returned to his room after completing the ex-post processing. By the time he returned to his room, he had his eldest brother and second brother novel, and exhausted himself in preaching with Netineti, too, he sat deeply on his favorite couch at the window feeling weak.

(Oh, it was a long time......)

Even though I liked it and wasn't caught, I couldn't help but be foolish inside.

(We need to be more careful about getting out next time.

While Crowe thinks the addition of a sermon is likely to come when he hears it, Hershake repeats breathing and exhaling deeply, as if out of strength.

Looking out the window, it was already dark outside, and the stars were shining in the sky. Hershelik laughs as he turns that perspective around and turns it to those who have become today's greatest merit.

"Thank you for coming to save us, Mr. Krenai.

To Hershelik's words, he shook his head sideways saying that Krenai was no big deal as he stood.

Right now, only Krenai is in Hershelik's own room. Oran went straight home to the police station to hand over the criminals, and Shiro returned to his room. Ao also went back to the room where he was prepared before he was found out who he was, and Kuro is asked to check to see if there are any remnants of the Dark Organization.

"But I can't believe Mr. Krennai tailed me and Mr. Krennai suggested the operation..."

While leaking his admiration, Hershelik recalls the full extent of the operation he heard from Krenai.

First, Klenai guided the line to the mansion, and then split into two hands, knowing the number and location of people in the mansion with Ao's exploratory magic. Oran and Shiro turn to the back of the mansion and the magic of Shiro causes voyance and disrupts the mansion. And those who had gathered together to quell Boya's fire, Shiloh trapped them in a sound insulating junction, and Oran beat them down. He then sequentially captured those who came to see how surprised he was.

The three Kro, Krenai and Ao destroy each of the distracted sights due to the voyant noise and reach the room where Hershelik is captured. And with Ao's wind magic, he first delivers his voice only to Hershelik, who provokes him to create an uncomfortable posture even when he lays low on the ground. And the moment Hershelik fell, Ao activated the wind magic and took their sight, disabling the three gold lenders in Ao and Kro.

Thanks to this I was able to capture no one without missing them and without killing them. If it was just my leaders, I wouldn't have carried things this way.

Besides, Hershelik didn't think she'd take any action to help. He thought that if he told the leaders that he had been stripped, they would come and help him somehow while he was buying time.

To the admiring Hershelik, Krenai opened his mouth.

"Prince, may I ask you a question?

"Hmm? If it was my answer………………"

Hershelik shook his head vertically in a seriously eyed crenai instead of his usual smile.

"Why did the prince follow them so manly? When you were about to be taken away, wouldn't you have been able to protect yourself if you spoke up?

"But there may have been some injuries to Leishe and the people in town.

Hershelik replies with a bitter smile to Krenai's best opinion.

"I was alarmed, too, or I had my own downfall. I just didn't think there would be any idiots around town at this time of year..."

No matter how much money was lent to me, I didn't think I could set it up in the bright hours before the Toyota Festival, Hershelik makes excuses.

"Isn't the Prince, our self, cute?

All of Krenai's knowledgeable personalities were best kept to themselves. For this reason, I wanted to use others, but I didn't even care if they hurt me.

But the prince in front of me was different from them.

"Yeah? Hmmm......"

Hershelik twists his neck to Krenai's words.

"I'm scared, and I don't want to get hurt. I'm weak, and I don't have the skill to protect myself.

I felt sorry for myself for saying it, and Hershelik had no choice but to divulge a bitter laugh.

"Then why do you stroll around town like that?

Krenai knows this prince has an age-appropriate thought. And I know I'm not the owner of the optimistic idea that I'm not in danger. Even knowing the danger, Klenai could not help but wonder why he was going out to town.

For the question of Krenai. Hershelik answers with a bitter smile.

"I'm only going out there to realize that what I'm doing wasn't pointless.

Just seeing the smiles of the people in Castle Town made me feel real. I could be sure that neither what I had done, nor what I had sacrificed without my strength, was in vain. It was temporary, but it filled an empty hole in my heart.

"The Clos are mad at me, but I still can't stop...... I can do my best because I have everyone here.

Hershelik laughs uncontrollably, complacently but that is my driving force.

"……… Is there any other reason?

Krenai further asks him, who remembers being a little hooked up when he says it's for his own good.

Hershelik opens his eyes slightly to Krenai's words, but immediately lowers his gaze.

"You can't keep secrets from Mr. Krennai.

Saying so, Hershelik continues his words when he shrugs his shoulders.

"If I walked outside without anything, we'd all be relieved, wouldn't we?

A young prince with no power walks alone, unarmed. That's synonymous with saying this country is safe enough for children to walk alone, giving the people of Castle Town peace of mind, Hershelik thought. If that's all it takes to make them feel safe, it was a trivial matter such as their own danger.

"I like this country where everyone can laugh, and I want to protect it.

Hershelik spins his words with a gentle smile, unlike the smile he just had.

"Mr. Krenai, this country had a dark look on everyone's face until a while ago.

When Barbasse ruled in the back, everyone feared tomorrow would come with a dark look on their face.

But now that he's dead, this country has changed.

"I can finally see my bright face. I think we can all hope for tomorrow.

In the back of my brain I can remember people smiling. With that face in mind, Hershelik went on to say even more.

"So I'm more afraid of not seeing that smile than I am of hurting myself. It's scarier for everyone to get hurt. So I want to do everything in my power to protect everything... ma, that's just what I'm thinking, and this is all self-satisfying, too.

Krenai couldn't respond to Hershelik, who tilted his neck, wondering if it was an answer.

The prince says he is self-satisfied. But Krenai only walked with the prince in Castle Town today, knowing that his actions were not just self-satisfying.

When he greeted, talked and waved at the people in town, all the people in town smiled. There was no fine dust for anxiety there.

(I hope it's for me, but I cut myself for people... that's the essence of this one, isn't it?

Deriving an answer within herself, Clenai felt that her shoulder strength would also fall out. And as usual, no, I smile softer than usual.

"…… Prince, that's strange.

"That's the second time today.

Hershelik laughs strangely at Krenai's words as he returns to his usual favorite smile. Seeing to such a prince, Krenai mutters in a voice that no one can hear.

"Yeah?"

Krenai shook her head as Hershelik could not hear the whining and tilted her head.

"No...... thank you for your story. Now if you'll excuse me.

Hershelik leaned his neck and dropped her off.

Krenai follows Hershelik's chamber before proceeding alone through the dark corridor. And he stopped his feet at a distance from the prince's chamber, and let his thoughts go round.

"If this person..."

The ensuing grunt disappeared, sucked into the darkness of the hallway.
