Chapter 1820 - 1819: Stroll by the Sea
Ye Ning didn’t bother with any of that. Someone had asked her online why she was taking another break, and she’d replied domineeringly that after filming for a while, she had to rest for a while, so she could stock up enough energy to shoot good work again next time.
She was a workaholic, but not the kind who had to act nonstop. There were too many other things she wanted to do.
The next day, Mu Yeli said he’d gotten the plane ready and they’d head down south together.
Ye Ning asked in surprise, "What are we going south for?"
"It’s too cold. We’re going somewhere warm down south for a vacation."
"Then aren’t there any activities here for Christmas?"
"The biggest activity right now is keeping you company."
On the side...
QM made a retching face.
He was sitting in the living room playing video games with a controller.
Watching the two of them behind him, he said, "Even though I’m used to it by now, don’t you guys feel like you’re getting more and more disgusting?"
Mu Yeli snorted. "If you can’t get used to it, get lost."
"Heh, you two don’t think it’s gross, why should I be the one to get lost?"
QM climbed up from the floor. "Let’s go, where are we vacationing? You need me to prepare anything?"
"..."
Tagging along even on vacation—he was really that idle.
Ye Ning got ready together with Mu Yeli, and then they set off for the south.
Down south this time of year, there were a lot of people too,
plenty of people chose to go south for vacation when it turned cold.
So on this Sea Island, it counted as peak season.
When they arrived they saw lots of people already there, housing prices shot up instantly, and sometimes you couldn’t even book a hotel.
It had even stirred up quite a few news topics.
Ye Ning and Mu Yeli stayed in a resort area.
The urban area here actually wasn’t very developed and was pretty messy.
The resort area, on the other hand, was fairly clean. There were a lot of people at the moment, but the seawater was still clear.
Mu Yeli’s villa was right on this bay, with a line cordoning it off in the distance, with a sign saying "Private villa, no entry."
Outside, tourists were walking back and forth in this area.
There were quite a few villas here, many built years ago.
The one Mu Yeli was staying in was the same.
Once Ye Ning got here, she felt even hotter. Compared to the north where the radiators had to be on all the time, here you needed the air conditioning on just to survive.
Going outside, though, was very comfortable. It was fairly cool out. Standing on the balcony, with the sea breeze blowing and the endless view.
From here you could see the beach down below.
When people looked up, they could vaguely make out someone up there, but naturally they couldn’t see clearly.
Mu Yeli came up behind her and wrapped his arms around Ye Ning, and the two of them leaned there, looking out at the sea together.
"How is it, feeling much better now?"
"Mm."
Just then, her belly moved a bit, like the little one inside was echoing her mood.
Ye Ning touched her stomach and said with a smile, "Wow, he’s feeling comfy too."
Mu Yeli held her, and together they embraced the one in her belly, both hands gently caressing her stomach.
The preliminary form of a family of three had already taken shape...
The feeling of peaceful, quiet days lasted only a short while...
"Hey, are you two done hugging yet? Is there anything to eat? I’m seriously starving to death here."
QM protested from behind them.
Mu Yeli glared at him, then turned around and told someone to get food ready.
There was of course a lot of seafood here.
Ye Ning could still eat quite a lot right now, so she had people buy a bunch of seafood and cooked it in all sorts of ways.
After eating, Ye Ning happily said she wanted to go walk along the beach.
Wearing a long dress, she headed out.
Outside, with the evening glow reflected on the sea, it looked very beautiful. When Ye Ning reached the shore, she slipped her shoes off. The spray from the seawater splashed against her long dress; even when it got wet, it didn’t feel cold.
