Perhaps she had gotten used to having her sleep by her side every day. She didn’t feel much herself when she went out, but thinking about the soft little Tangdou waking up at night and possibly feeling disappointed without seeing her, needing her hugs, missing her, her heart felt sour.
She thought, perhaps this aligns with that saying: sometimes she wouldn’t feel sad on her own, but thinking there’s someone who would feel sad because of her, makes her sad.
She herself didn’t feel sad about leaving Tangdou, but thinking that Tangdou would miss her made her unbearably sad.
Ye Ning kissed Tangdou, and beside her, Mu Qi said, "Madam, sir asked me to take you to the airport, as he’s occupied at the company."
Ye Ning responded with an "oh," watching Mu Qi pick up the suitcase. She followed behind to the car at the door.
