Chapter 1853 - 1848: Meet the Little Tyrant
Ye Ning raised an eyebrow and walked over, "Wow, you actually recognized me."
Ye Ning’s appearance had changed, and she hadn’t been here since the change.
The shopkeeper was a small old man, looking like his hair had turned a layer whiter.
"Of course, how could I not recognize you? You’ve been coming here since you were thirteen."
"But my appearance has changed a lot," Ye Ning said.
He laughed even more, "Many people who leave the town and come back look different, but just by hearing a voice, I can tell who it is." He raised an eyebrow, "After all, the town is too small."
The Headquarter chose this place because there are many parts here where there’s nobody around.
It’s very quiet and simple.
The people in the town don’t know that right here, not far away, planes will suddenly fly out in the middle of the night, carrying countless advanced weapons, storing more weapons enough to destroy a town.
Ye Ning came in with a smile, and Mu Yeli followed in.
The shopkeeper adjusted his reading glasses and looked at Mu Yeli, "Oh, but this gentleman, it’s the first time I’ve seen him."
Ye Ning chuckled and sat down, "Really?"
He looked carefully at Mu Yeli, "Hmm, it’s better than the previous one."
This remark suddenly made Mu Yeli feel a sense of affection for this place.
He then said to Ye Ning, "Very well, I’ve always wanted to say it, but he wasn’t a good man."
Ye Ning raised her eyebrows even more, tilting her head as she sat down, "Yes, I know."
He said, "So, what do you want to eat?"
Ye Ning said, "The usual, do you still remember?"
"Of course, I remember."
He immediately started preparing it.
Ye Ning and Mu Yeli sat there, and people behind them gradually began to notice too.
Someone started to wander over.
Life in the town was very slow, and many men spent their afternoons in the restaurant drinking beer.
People here drank beer frequently, almost as if it were water.
The man drank some beer and came over to Ye Ning’s side.
"Ha, are you new here? I haven’t seen you before. What are you doing here?"
Ye Ning turned around and looked at the man.
He placed his beer on the table, almost collapsing completely.
Ye Ning quickly avoided him, then watched as he staggered closer. She swiftly pulled a chair over, tucked it under the man, and leaned him against the wall.
The man was trapped against the wall by the wooden legs of two chairs.
The man twisted around, trying to grab Ye Ning with his hands.
Ye Ning snorted, "You’re the newcomer here, aren’t you?"
The old man above chuckled, "Hey, you’re the newcomer here, you don’t even recognize S."
The man was momentarily stunned, and as if suddenly realized who Ye Ning was, hurriedly started pushing the chair away.
Ye Ning released the chair, and the man grabbed the beer bottle and ran off.
The shopkeeper chuckled, "See that?" He looked at the man fleeing in panic and said to Mu Yeli, "S is quite famous in the town."
Ye Ning raised an eyebrow, "Am I?"
Mu Yeli seemed very interested, "Really? How famous?"
The shopkeeper said, "In the past, she was domineering, everyone knew, and no one could beat her. She fought so well, no one in the whole school could defeat her."
Ye Ning snickered, "How could that be possible, hey, am I that famous?"
(Still out of town, only sleeping five hours a day these days, so tired, boohoo)
