Chapter 351 - Tell Ishtar to prepare for a War Game

"Let’s see if Orario’s fastest-rising adventurer has the chops to back that talk," Aisha said, launching herself at Mahiro with a swift leap.

"Finally, some action," Apollo muttered, gleeful at the prospect of an irreconcilable clash between Hestia and Ishtar.

Aisha’s machete gleamed, heavy and sharp, as she slammed her foot down, charging with a gust of wind.

The blade caught the light and in an instant, she was before Mahiro.

"Mahiro!" Hestia cried, her heart leaping despite knowing his strength.

The crowd of gods and onlookers gasped.

Aisha’s machete slashed toward Mahiro, a blow that could maim even an adventurer’s resilient body.

But as it descended, it froze mid-air and halted by Mahiro’s iron grip on her wrist.

"Blocked!" a spectator gasped.

"No way! That’s Antianeira!"

"She’s not serious or he wouldn’t have stopped it so easily," another calmly rationalizing.

Though Mahiro’s potential was undeniable, a Level 2 stopping a near Level 4 like Aisha so casually seemed impossible unless she held back.

"Aisha, quit playing! Finish him!" an Ishtar familia member urged.

"Lady Ishtar’s waiting for Haruhime," another added.

"Don’t let Phryne steal our credit," a third hissed.

Aisha’s companions assumed she was going easy. She gave a bitter smile inside.

It wasn’t mercy...

Mahiro was just too strong.

His grip was unyielding and no amount of force could break it.

"Enough," Mahiro said, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Not yet!" Aisha snapped, abandoning her machete.

Her free hand swung like a hammer toward his head.

She wasn’t trying to stay...she had no choice.

Losing face here would mean Ishtar’s wrath which was a chilling prospect.

Mahiro released her wrist and sidestep her fist with ease.

He used his hand to strike Aisha as she tried to retreat.

Boom!

A heavy thud echoed.

Aisha flew back and crashed into a building’s wall.

She slid down and coughed painfully.

"Aisha!" her companions cried, two rushing to check her wounds.

The others looked enraged as they gripped their weapons and charged Mahiro.

"Stop!" Aisha looked as she clutched her stomach. "You’re no match for him."

Her warning halted them.

One pulled out a red filled vial, pouring it into Aisha’s mouth.

The potion eased her injuries, and with help she stood.

"Didn’t expect a Level 2 to have such strength. I’m not your match. You’ve earned your words."

The crowd reeled at her admission.

"Antianeira lost?"

"I thought she was holding back!"

"He’s just Level 2...how?"

"No wonder Apollo hesitated. He knew!"

Apollo’s face darkened, caught in the crossfire of their remarks.

"We won’t give up," Aisha announced.

"Haruhime’s vital to our Familia. We’ll send others, including our Level 5 captain. I hope you’re as tough then."

"No need for that," Mahiro said lightly. "Tell Ishtar to prepare for a War Game."

Aisha’s mouth twitched and she gave him a annoyed stare.

"I’ll relay that to Lady Ishtar exactly."
