History's Strongest Manager

[191] Spring Shadow (3)

At the sound of the door opening, Daeeun looks at Kang Joon and nods, dumbfounded.

“Er... Yeah. Hey, I was just thinking... ”

Gangjun slowly walked through a clean workshop and approached the Great Hall.

“Don't you smoke? ”

“Oh, I hung up... Well, I looked it up. ”

Of course, there were no ashtrays, so the ashes were falling to the floor. Even in Kangjun's view, it was not normal for him to smoke in the workshop. Since I had never seen Dae Luck smoke, Kang Joon was also quite surprised. He lightly snuffed out his cigarette.

“Aran said he needed some shotgun maintenance. This loading spring seems to be broken. ”

“Leave it there. ”

Kang Jun dropped his shotgun and left the workshop. Watching Dae-woon pull out another Gabby cigarette, Kang Jun left the workshop without saying a word.

It couldn't have been a good thing to burn a cigarette that I didn't smoke. And Kang guessed that the reason for the smoking was because of the chairman. Originally, Hero Management and Alpha-Shad were bad stories, and Kwak Dae-won did not deny, but did not like, links with Alpha-Shad.

I only admitted that I knew Hero Management was a way to survive.

Kang Jun did not know what had happened directly between them. I just knew that it had something to do with the bad thing, the death of Kwak Dae-wun's grandson, Kwak Do-jin. However, Gwak Dae-won did not want to face President Seol, and he must have met him somehow today.

That's why we take out the forgotten cigarettes and burn them again.

Kang Jun knocked on a visit from Daewon in the middle of the night after finishing his meal that night.

“What's going on? ”

No matter how many cigarettes I smoked, I was able to grow a cigarette. Kang Jun shakes the soju bottle in his right hand.

“It's late at night, haven't you had a drink in a long time? ”

Kang Jun smiled and pushed the foot envelope in his left hand. Daewoon glanced at Kangjun and smiled satisfactorily.

“Good.”

In the middle of the night, a strange drink was held between the old man and the young man.

I brought plenty of booze, so both of them are perfectly sober. Gangjun was a great speech technique when it came to black market drinking, but it was not very lucky. Daewoon talked about new devices that he would not have otherwise said.

“PCF technology is a trend nowadays, but I think it's worth maintaining. ”

“There's nothing quite like core frame control. It's a pity that no one is using it. ”

Gangjun was a hunter, but he knew a lot about weapons. That's why I could understand it all, even with a lot of jargon from the expert, Kwak Dae-woon. I didn't say anything because I had a good opinion about it.

What Kang Jun could do was not strengthen the flesh. All I could do was put a lot in my head, so the level of knowledge of Kang Jun was not based on considerable genius, but on effort.

It was fine to say that Kang Jun Choi to Daeun who had no classmates.

“You're amazing. I know what a knife man does. What are you doing? I could set up a device factory with my mouth. ”

“Isn't that a criticism? ”

“A compliment, my friend. ”

Luck laughed.

“Well…. I knew there was nothing bad about it. ”

Kang Jun just blurted his efforts. After all, knowledge was just a piece of paper in front of the power, but Kang Jun tried to improve a little. The words of this young man, Choi Kang-jun, sounded pretty heavy.

“Oh my…. Amazing.”

Daewoon took a sip of soju and said so.

“Bringing soju in the middle of the night to keep the old man awake is great. ”

“We treat the best people with hospitality. I'm sorry that I only have one big chubby foot. ”

“Don't be so hard on yourself... You don't like it when you're being modest, but it's the worst way to be modest. ”

“You're talking too much. ”

Both of them burst into laughter. The soju bottle was emptying, and Gangjun was also relieved, so they were excited about each other. Kang Joon didn't have much purpose, and he came to have a drink because he seemed unhappy.

How much did you drink? Just when counting Empty Soju bottles became a nuisance, Gwak Dae-woon took out a pack of cigarettes.

“Can I take one? ”

“It's your room. What do you think? ”

- Curr!

Daewon lit cigarettes with a small core welder for maintenance. The intense blue flame set the cigarette on fire was bizarre. When Kang Jun stared blankly, Dae Luck spit out the smoke like a charm.

“I had a cigarette, but there was no fire. This is perfect. ”

Seeing that Gwak Dae-won couldn't have done this with his work tools, he was also quite crude. One time he saw Gangjun, he robbed a soju cup of tobacco ash.

“Do you know anything about my grandson? ”

“I don't know the details. ”

“I guess Young didn't tell you. ”

“Yes, I think it's a sensitive matter…. ”

That's why I didn't ask. Somehow, Daewoon opened his mouth, looking away.

“I don't know, I.... I don't know.”

He gasps, not pouring the soju into the cup.

“Can I stay here...? ”

He might leave. That's why Kang Jun's expression was hard.

“Can I talk to you about old times? ”

That's what Dae Luck said.

“Whatever it takes.”

Gangjun nodded.

Kwak Dae-woon's grandson, Kwak Do-jin, lost his parents as a child. It was all over the place, and it wasn't that great. However, Dae-wun was an industrial artisan, so there was no problem in taking care of and raising a young dojo.

He lost his son and daughter-in-law to the beast, and felt sadder about it, but felt it was his duty to create a stronger device, a stronger armor. So I was even more focused on device development.

That's why I didn't care about dodging. I didn't even know that I wanted to become a future hunter, and that I was secretly tested to see if I was talented at night.

Grand Luck wanted to try whatever it took to stop him from becoming a hunter, but that was already when Temple admission was determined. Dojin did not grumble at great fortune. After all, people have things to do.

Dojin told Grandpa what happened to him, and I told him what happened to me, and left for Temple.

His grandson had eyes that could see the world even at a young age in a bird he did not recognize. Dodge was a man with ordinary justice, ordinary anger, and ordinary mindset. And that ordinary rage was directed at the beast. That's why he realized his talents and hesitated to go to temples.

But ordinary people can't be knights.

Ordinary endurance was not enough to withstand a drug trial that became night. Dojin finally escaped from the Temple, unable to endure the pain.

Grand Luck was a night, but he welcomed his grandson home. Daewoon ran around trying to get a notice of eviction from Dodge. Dodge is in a corner, and Daewoon has managed to get a break, although he did not expel himself for the entire process.

After escaping the Temple, the tremor falls into a sense of self-esteem. I couldn't stand the pity of myself, the shame of me running away with my mouth shut. However, when I thought about the pain at that time, I sat down as I tried to return to the Temple.

Dozens wander off. Grand luck is still busy, and all he can do is give the wandering grandson a lot of allowance.

The tremor fades, but the night touches the liquor and cigarettes even at a young age. Its power is stronger than that of an ordinary person, and it beats anyone who gets into trouble. I was an adult, a woman and an old man, and I put my hands on my sword when I had nothing to do with it.

When it was the third time he had been called to the police station to pay a settlement, he beat his grandson like a dog who had never heard a sound he hated before. Dojin couldn't stand him. When I look at myself, I feel sadness and guilt rather than hatred or anger, 'I made you this way.' Apologizing grandfather was the greatest punishment.

Dojin ran away.

The tremor did not change. I did not rebel against my grandfather, but I could not bear the sense of self-esteem, guilt, and humiliation. The normal definition of dodging was crumpled up in a foolish notion of escaping reality. The runaway doppelganger lives on stolen bread and liquor.

I stole homeless people's money, begged, and wandered the streets at night without washing.

One day, Dojin was beaten to death by touching the real night and dumped like garbage in the back alley. The crumpled, garbage-wearing crumple cries. The Knight who wanted to be him didn't just run away like a coward, but the man who endured it overwhelmed him, abused him and said so.

‘Looks like that scumbag is punching everyone because he's got the strength, but you've got to throw your evil ass in the sewers. ’

Dojin was sold as a social vice, and he was sadly aware of his own position that no bird could deny it. Despite his fifteen years of age, Kwakdojin was a human scum and the devil's seed that had to be immersed in the sewers.

I feel my arms and legs are broken, but I feel it regenerating very slowly, and I think I'd rather die like this.

But he's a half-knight who doesn't die easily, and he comes back out into the street with his clothes torn and his head messed up.

Everyone shunned him as if they didn't want anything to do with the dirt. The boy was a filthy man on the surface, but when you look closely, it was social evil. While glancing at the useless boy on the outside and inside, people avoided him.

Except for one.

The young woman stopped walking and looked into the boy's eyes, crouching.

"Oh, my God, what are you doing? ’

It was the first time that Seoyoung and Dojin met.

It was not long ago that Seo-young escaped from the hospital. Seo-young brought a lost runaway boy home to wash and dress him. Dojin was unfamiliar to the kindness of those who had never seen him before, but Seoyoung refused to do so.

Dojin was even weirder that he could not refuse the favor of a strange woman named Seoyoung. Seo-young asked me about the house, and I didn't tell her about the doppelganger. Even though it was necessary to report it to the police, Seo-young did not do so.

‘That way you won't like it either. ’

Seo-young knew how sad and bad it was to be arbitrarily cut up by the will of others. That's why I didn't turn him over to the police. But Seo-young gave me a choice. You can stay here until you like, or you can leave now.

Dojin said he would leave in a few days, and I sat down in the house without knowing it. It was because all the injured places were not healed, and it could be because Seoyoung's actions were similar to those of his parents who missed the resemblance.

Dojin and Seo-young lived together without any connection to each other. Seo-young took good care of the rash, and Dojin stayed with Seo-young and gradually regained his smile.

Since Seo-young had just left the hospital, people sometimes came to check on her condition and mentioned how many times she was with a strange boy. The people who came were trying to get rid of the swarm, but Seoyoung shouted that he could never do it. Even though he looked at Dojin, Seoyoung was not an ordinary family man.

I felt like I had a lot of money, someone to watch over me, and I got sick a lot.

When he was very ill, he could not scream and trembled less. Then Dojin called the doctor on Seoyoung's cell phone.

It was about that time that Seoljun's pressure to expel the dojo from the house disappeared. Dojin was allowed to live in order to contact him when he was sick.

Seo-young looked like someone who would die today, tomorrow, or next week. The pain I felt even when I saw him was no different than what I had experienced. I naturally realized that snowflakes are people who won't live long.

‘Dojin, I'm thinking of managing, what do you think? ’

He always talked about the future, not knowing when he would die. I didn't know if it was worth living for, after enduring that much pain. However, Seo-young was always kind, always bright, and always talked about the future.

As if the future is coming if we keep talking.

The more I did, the more I was ashamed. Someone is waiting for tomorrow to come, and he is running away from reality, protected by women who are just like everyone else because he is afraid of the pain.

In the past, if you chose the wrong path because of shame and guilt, this was not the time. Living with Snow, Dojin realized how bad it was to betray the kindness and generosity he had received without a price.

Seoyoung was actually preparing to start management work. Meeting people, studying and wrapping your head about how to do business was amazing.

Nevertheless, Seo-young definitely spent time with Dojin.

‘Why did you bring me here then? ’

After a long time, Dojin asked why Seo-young stopped in front of him when we first met. No one stopped at the top of the pulp, just avoiding it, or looking at it like it was dirty. His answer was simple.

‘I have to take care of you. ’

That's what Seoyoung said.

‘Cause nobody's looking at you. I have to stand in front of you and ask you what's going on. Why are you hurt, why are you so messy, and why are you looking so sad? ’

Some people stop in front of someone, but others don't have it. Seo-young was the one who stopped, talked, and helped.

‘You can have at least one such person. ’

He said that, and Dojin cried for the first time that day in front of him.
