Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1028 - 778: No Sportsmanship (Part 3)

Kael had already seen plenty of people sneak this kind of hat into the castle back at school; they’d stuff these utterly ordinary-looking hats in with their uniforms to get around Filch’s inspections.

Once they got their hands on them, they’d "accidentally" put them on someone else, or wear them themselves, then run around showing off their shiny bald heads.

Young Wizards with no hair-loss troubles seemed to find this absolutely hilarious and never got tired of it.

By the way, rumor had it that the inspiration for this hat came from Mr. Weasley, though so far Mr. Weasley himself still had no idea, and Fred and George were being very tight-lipped, flatly refusing to admit it and insisting they only got the idea after seeing Professor Slughorn at Hogwarts.

The problem was, by the time Slughorn was teaching, they’d already graduated, and the hat had gone on sale last October—back then they were still working at the Ministry of Magic and had no chance at all to see Slughorn.

Not that any of that really mattered now.

In any case, Fred and George had been using the Death Eaters and Voldemort to advertise their new products; while this approach was extremely satisfying, the risks were just as high.

Like right now... Death Eaters had turned up in Diagon Alley to cause havoc, and once they discovered this "heinous" behavior, there was no way they were going to just let it slide.

So Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes got torn down, and very thoroughly at that.

"My shop!" Fred and George’s anguished screams echoed through the pre-dawn sky.

"I’ll kill them... kill them!" George’s eyes were bloodshot; he grabbed every last Dungbomb on him, ready to give those Death Eaters a lesson they’d remember for the rest of their lives.

Like stuffing Dungbombs into their mouths, then stuffing them into an even bigger Dungbomb.

"Don’t be impulsive, Mr. Weasley is questioning them right now; it won’t be too late to teach them a lesson after he’s done," Kael stopped him in time.

When he’d arrived just now, Mr. Weasley had been asking those Death Eaters about You-Know-Who’s plans and the whereabouts of the other Death Eaters; if they really knew something, Fred and George kicking off right now would only get in the way.

"But my shop... this is our life’s work..." George struggled with all his strength, so agitated he could barely get the words out.

"I know, but have you forgotten you’re Wizards?" Kael said, a little helplessly. "Remember what Professor Flitwick said? You’re Wizards, not baboons with sticks."

He waved his Wand, and the stones on the ground immediately pieced themselves back together, returning to their original positions.

Fred and George froze for a second, then finally came to their senses... Right, how on earth had they forgotten the Repairing Charm?

So the two of them instantly gave up on going after the Death Eaters and instead joined in on rebuilding the shop.

First the walls, then the shattered glass windows reformed and automatically slid back into their frames...

"You should really be grateful they used a Fiendfyre Curse and not the Fiendfyre Curse," Kael said as he restored a charred fragment of a statue. "Otherwise, no matter how good you are at the Repairing Charm, it wouldn’t have helped."

"Then they’d be dead for sure!" Fred ground out between clenched teeth.

"Though they probably wouldn’t dare use the Fiendfyre Curse," George said, now calmer. "If you lose control of that thing it can take out your own side as well, and quite a few Death Eaters came this time—unless they wanted to sacrifice themselves along with everything else."

As he spoke, he gave Kael a very meaningful look.

So far, the only Wizard he’d seen treat the Fiendfyre Curse like an ordinary Fiendfyre Curse was Kael.

Dumbledore and Voldemort could surely do it too, he just hadn’t seen it with his own eyes.

With the three of them working together, it took only five minutes to completely rebuild Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes.

Next came the Magic Tools around them, which were much harder to fix than the building itself, and a lot of them were single-use products—like maps and various Magic Potions. Once those were broken, they were broken; the Repairing Charm was useless.

And the more complicated items weren’t something they could fix in a short time either.

After a quick tally, they found the shop was more than half emptier than before.

Looking at the bare counters and shelves, Fred and George’s faces went purple—those were Galleons, all gone just like that!

In that moment, their hatred for the Death Eaters and Voldemort peaked; they wanted nothing more than to tear them apart and put the pieces on display on their shelves.
