How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 5. This is too obvious (1) >

The time when Callian would have just started lunch.

The atmosphere of the nobles gathered in the hall on the 1st floor of the Senho tube was unusual. It was definitely the last day of the festival, but the atmosphere was more noisy than the first day.

- On the second day of the festival, Grand Wizard Alan Manasil entered the Wizard's Association and stayed all day.

- The sorcerers of the Society began to move abruptly, but they could not figure out why.

As news like this spreads rapidly, unbelievable stories are heard together.

- Calian, the third prince, was Alan Manasil's first mate.

- We've received word that King Remain is already finished.

The chaos of the nobles after the wavelength of their meeting spread to all sides, unstoppable.

However, there were places where this news had not yet been communicated.

It was because I didn't wake up until late in the morning when I heard the news.

You hear a disturbance outside the door of the sleeping room. At the same time, the door opens wide, and you hear a voice calling out to him urgently. It was always the senior acolyte who woke him up.

"My prince, get up. Prince!"

His acolyte does not speak in a quiet voice or ring a bell. I stood outside the bedroom covered with curtains and called out to him loudly.

"My prince!"

Once again, the servant called him and his closed eyelids opened slightly, revealing his green eyes. Despite the unusual landscape, he slowly rises up as if something annoying had happened.

With one hand on his forehead as if he had a headache, he opens his mouth with an annoying expression.

"What are you doing?"

There was a servant standing outside the curtain. He seemed restless as to what was so anxious. The acolyte once again opens his mouth urgently.

"Prince Plants, you have to get up!"

At that time, another young man who appeared behind the servant reached out his arm, pushed the servant to his side, and grabbed the curtain.

A strong scent has engulfed the room.

Renaissance.

Plants stands up with a frown on his face.

"I'm going in."

I didn't ask if I could go in.

I always did.

I didn't know how to ask first and care.

White fingers flex the curtain. Afterwards, the corners of the mint dress and the yellow shoes on the ends came one step into the bedroom of Plants. It was silica.

The acolytes of Plants come together behind Silica. I was embarrassed and didn't know what to do. It wasn't once or twice, but it still didn't seem to fit in.

Plants shakes his hand as if to move out towards the acolyte. The acolyte greets him deeply, then plunges out in a daze.

- Cheers.

With the sound of the door closing, Silica covers her face with debt. It must be frowning, so Plants does not look at the face.

Silica slowly looked around the room and said.

"You smell like booze."

Covered by the scent of Renaissance, you can't even feel the smell of alcohol.

Instead of mentioning it, Plants tapped the glass on the side of the bed without a word. It was the act of asking if I could smell it because I drank it. Of course, Le Maine's Prohibition was also unconcerned.

Silica's eyes changed terribly.

Separate from that look, still a bold voice flows out from behind the debt.

"It's only 15 now. You're not old enough to be drunk. Besides, I have to get out of here soon, and I'm not even up yet."

At that moment, Plants felt like there was an overlap of Remain's voice hiding behind the document.

Plants had touched alcohol shortly after his 15th birthday. Even so, it was not a problem for me to understand how to live with the smell of alcohol.

This time he even looked like that and went out of the palace.

"What a disappointing act."

"That's not what you were going to say."

Plants raises his glass of remaining wine.

Geumzre's eyes were hard to tell whether he was awake or sober. The only thing that was clear was that it didn't seem like we wanted to talk.

"Why are you here?"

I felt the power in Silica's hands, holding the debt. It was an act to endure anger, but Plants did not see it either.

"If you keep showing up like this, what will His Majesty think? No matter how hard this mother tries,"

"I don't want to hear about it."

A naïve voice.

Silica's eyes trembled. Soon, Silica once again straightened her voice.

"You're getting off the hook. You didn't do that when you talked to the king, did you?"

'We talked. I am.'

A slight open eye plant shows grief.

"Why you're here. That's all you have to say."

Instead of answering, Plants stands up in a light position. I didn't even care about the clothes that were untied. I just had the look on my face that I didn't want to talk anymore.

"Callian carried the wizard on his back. Alan Manasil, the nobles have been shaking since the time that the Wizard took Calian as his disciple."

Wizard.

The feet of Plants, who were passing through the silica and headed to the couch, paused. Plants looks down and sees the glass in his hand. The liquor in the glass was surging.

But only that, Plants had no other reaction.

"· · · · · · · So."

Silica turns to the plant.

I knew it wasn't Plants who didn't understand what I was talking about and why I was running like this. So silica asked instead of explaining further.

"Will you continue to disappoint me like this?"

"Don't do it. Trying."

Plants did not answer Silica's question. Instead, I took back what I had talked about many times.

Silica tries to speak again, but Plants stops her.

"It's annoying."

Soon, Plants raises his hand and points to the door. Silica stood for a long time looking at such plants. But over time, Plants' hands did not come down.

"· · · · · · Where to go today, and where to go next. Come out before it's too late."

The debt folds and Silica looks at Plants' face again.

"I'll make sure you don't get in the way."

Silica swung her body and went out.

Soon, the door closed with a loud bang. Plants lowers his hand, pointing to the door.

Plants gazes blankly at the cup for a moment and grips its teeth and throws it to the wall.

- Chirp!

The glass shatters into pieces. A piece of glass splattered off the back of your hand and bled out.

The acolytes and maids who were watching outside heard the glass breaking and rushed in. Plants, shrugging his shoulders, climbs up his fingertips and looks at the falling drops of blood.

"Get out."

"Prince, my hands are bleeding. Healing!"

"Get out! Get out! Get lost!"

· · · · · · Kalian!

* * *

After the meal, Kalian is dressed as the Conquest of the Prince.

I feel a little more comfortable breathing if the antidote is already working. That's probably why Alan didn't drink his morning tea, because he was in such a hurry to get ready.

Jan next to her explains the last schedule of the festival while the maids comb through Calian's hair and do a final check.

"You'll be going to horseback riding soon, and it's just outside the palace, so you'll have to be gone an hour. And then there's the ball from 8: 00."

The princes also took horseback riding lessons and watched horse shows on the king's birthday because Remain liked horses. There was no other reason. Anyway, being with Raven was her favorite thing to do, so I had no complaints.

"Is that the show you canceled at the Brissen Merchant Guild?"

"Yes, that's right. That's why Birch Brissen came to you and complimented you on it."

Large performances, usually hosted by a large merchant guild, were attended by the king. There was no theater group with that many people, and there was a reason that most large venues were owned by the merchant guild.

"So I decided to host this performance at the Pollun Merchants Guild. It's my first time performing somewhere other than Brycen."

"Pollun?"

I'm familiar with it. What is it? '

Kalian folds his eyebrows.

Calian's eyes flash, momentarily lost in thought.

"Baron Pollun."

Jan nods and explains.

"Yes. A young baron named Melpire Pollun. He said he was quite smart and resourceful. And I don't know what happened, but this time it's a concert concert in Brissen."

Kalian is missing.

'You don't want to be hanged, so you have to concede.'

Calian glares at you, remembering their reasons for not being able to answer out of his mouth. Callian remembers Melpire Pollun because of a fairly famous affair even in Cecretiae.

The first prince was injured.

At the end of the horseback riding, the temporary installation of the structure for the performance was broken down. Then Randall, who was on the stairs, crashed down one floor into a collapsed structure.

I've heard that life was uninterrupted, but I've been in Tensyl for about a month now because my leg was broken.

'That's how it is now. I've seen Le Maine perform on horseback so many times, I didn't think it would happen today.'

Callian knocks his knee with his fingers.

'It wasn't just an accident.'

You see traces of a rope with a fixed structure cut into sharp edges. There was not much evidence that Melpire wanted to harm Randall, but it was King Tensyl's grandson who was wounded. Tensyl complained a lot, and in the end, Le Maine sent Melpire to her professor.

When I heard about it, I exchanged stories with Chase about whether it was too soon, even though it was a senseless terrorist attack against the royal family. Chase seems to have figured something out, but he hasn't told Bern, and he's been thinking about fitting in for a while. It still made me remember.

'We have to assume there's no chance Pollun was hit.'

Unless you're a real fool, there's no way you could have planted evidence like that in your own theater and gone after the royal family. As Jan said, if you were quite smart and well-versed, you wouldn't think of using this as an opportunity to climb the faculty.

'Brissen is the most suspicious. Why did he go after Randall? Just enough to get hurt. Or were you just after the Pollun Merchant Guild?'

There must be a reason why Pollun was so threatening that he would even touch the Tensyl for it.

Neither Bern nor the old Khalian remembered much about the Merchant Guild. Calian's eyebrows narrow.

"Prince · · · · · · · · ·?"

Khalian stops thinking and turns his head to Yan's voice. Yan said carefully.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Huh?"

Jan looks at the mirror frowning and doesn't speak, so he seems to have noticed. Kalian shakes his head, smiling.

"No, I'm just thinking."

Yan is always anxious when he spends time in front of the mirror. If only the old Kalian had broken the mirror.

Callian stands up and speaks in a bold voice.

"The mirror is fine now. Don't worry."

"Yes, Prince."

Yan looks embarrassed when he sees what he was thinking. Callian asks a different question, pretending he didn't see it.

"Will Baron Pollun come to greet you during the performance today?"

"Usually during a performance, the host sits next to you. I'll say hello before the show."

"Yes."

The reason why Brycen intervened was unclear.

Something stinky is vibrating.

'I need to make sure he's alive first.'

So, I decided to let Melpire Pollun live and find out why.
