How to Live as the Enemy Prince

< Chapter 7. Roses were about to bloom (3) >

Kalian coughs lightly and heads out to the restaurant.

Yan's eyes followed behind the sound. It was not enough to notice that that cough, however dull it was, did not stop because of the cold.

"I've been waiting for this day, as promised. If a single car arrives tomorrow, I will stop being a servant."

"Are you going to solve this yourself?"

"Yes."

On that day, Duke Siegfried will have to pick up the sword, not the violin bow, but not Jan's. I knew that Slayman could handle that much.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"I'm not kidding."

"I know. I'm not lying, either."

Callian walks into the restaurant.

Landel's gaze, which had already arrived and was eating first, has lingered on Calian's face for a while. It's because I was more pale than yesterday. It's not that I don't know why Randall was looking at me, but Calian started eating without saying anything.

Randall gets up around the time Callian drops his fork, just picking up a few salads.

Kalian opens his mouth.

"I'll see you at the dinner."

Lately, Callian has been speaking to Randall once a day.

Starting with the sudden talk of roses, the next day, he told me that the storm was so severe that he couldn't fall asleep. The next day, he also missed the sound of birds. Randall only said yes to that Khalian every time. I even thought that teaching Raven would make her more fluent than Randall.

But today was a little different.

"Take care of yourself."

Finally, you face me.

Calian's gaze leans in.

While I was in the restaurant, others who were listening to Randell doubted my ears. Not only the servants of Randel, Jan, but the servants and maids of the restaurant.

Only Khalian replied with a natural smile.

"I'm fine."

Randall goes out without a word, and Callian comes out for the day.

And then it became afternoon.

Yan looks at Calian's paler face and asks with a sinking voice.

"The aristocracy meeting is going on right now, so you have to eat it in an hour."

"Okay. Okay."

"You look worse. Are you sure you want to attend?"

I was asking, but Jan already seemed to have heard Kalian's answer. When I heard it would be resolved on Tuesday, I knew it was time for Callian to wait.

"Of course I do."

Yan looks at Kalian with complex eyes and slowly says.

"Get some rest. I'll get the maids."

"No, wait a minute."

That way, Kalian rolls up his sleeve and unrolls his knife. He handed it over to Jan and pointed to the vault.

"Investigating the knife, the antidote, the silica. Take care of everything."

"Take it?"

"Leave it to the teacher in advance in case I need to check my room. Don't want to get caught."

"Checking the room."

Who dares to check the prince's vault?

What the hell do you think you're doing?

Kalian handed over two sealed letters to Yan in exchange for clearing the question. Jan takes it on ice, and Callian says it again.

"Tell one to the Wizard's Association, one to the Teacher. Be sure to stop by the association first and then go to the teacher."

The fact that the letter to be delivered via Yan was sealed was like saying not to open the contents aimed at Yan.

I'm nervous.

"Won't you tell me what you're thinking?"

"No, I won't."

Kalian nods, smiling.

I don't know where to believe that dull smile. Jan clenches his fist without saying a word.

"You won't be drinking that tea anymore and you won't be going to the banquet hall with a knife, so I'll do as you say · · · · · · · for now."

"Yes. I'll take care of everything. Don't worry about anything."

"The day you smiled like that and said you'd take care of yourself, you were wounded by Plants' knife."

"It's not like that."

Kalian's smile is slightly darker than it was then.

It's not like that.

It was more than that.

Jan moves on as Calian instructs.

Khalian says again, watching Jan close the vault door.

"I can go to the banquet by myself. So please come as soon as you're ready for dinner."

"· · · · · · · Understood."

Yan, who answered like that, picks up the goods that Kalian mentioned. Then I glanced back at Calian and immediately went out without a word and summoned the maids.

Jan, who helped prepare for the dinner, steps outside for Calian's errand and then reopens the vault. And I pulled out the little thing that I had hidden deep inside.

A little piece of sugar from a new shop.

Kalian looks at the piece he received from Sezar, named White Suri, and puts it in his pocket. Then he raises his hand, sweeps it down around his heart, and goes out.

It was Kalian's poison, prepared for silica.

* * *

The knight guarding the entrance to the banquet hall told Kalian.

"My prince, the council has been delayed a little, and the dinner has been postponed. The nobles have not yet arrived in the banquet hall."

Remain seems to have listened to your request to postpone the aristocracy meeting for just 10 minutes.

"It's okay. I'll go in and wait."

"Yes, I understand."

An example of a formal article opened the banquet hall.

Calian's lips go up slightly, with the scent of Renaissance, which is more advanced than the appearance of it in the banquet hall.

'Silike.'

Silica sat alone in a large banquet hall.

It was only Kalian and Silica who were absent from the meeting and attended the dinner. Since it was a dinner that started as soon as the meeting was over, if the meeting is delayed, of course it will all be late.

I asked Remain. I only wanted to make time to talk to Silica.

Callian walks across the aisle from Silica.

One of the servants came and put down the coffee for Calian who had to wait. Callian looks at him and says,

"Get out of my way before the others come."

"Yes, Prince."

The servant bows his head and goes out with everyone.

Silica looks at Kalian, who doesn't know why she was bitten around her. She holds the debt in her hands like a habit.

After seeing it, Kalian reaches out his hand and shakes his head.

"Masks, don't wear them. to each other."

Silica's face was frozen briefly. Soon, however, I nodded, placing the debt on the table.

"Let's do it."

Callian sat there without turning his gaze to Silica's eyes.

Both sides looked relaxed, but not so far inside. The sound of the clock chimes like thunder at the banquet hall.

Eventually, Silica's mouth opened first.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

He did it the last time.

Calian frowns slightly and holds the cup in his hand.

"I told you not to wear a mask."

Calian's red eyes, paused, come down from Silica and face the black coffee in the cup.

"I didn't say not to be polite."

At that moment, Silica's eyes changed sharply.

Since Kalian was the king's blood, even if Silica was the queen, she should not have spoken.

"· · · · · · Really, you've grown a lot."

"It's not that hard to understand."

Silica, who didn't know that, was still lowering her words. Calian, who had relaxed coffee, opened his mouth with a smile. And then he added in a voice that was stunning.

"Silike."

Poisoned by the beautiful face of Silica. Kalian has a face like that behind the debt.

"How rude of you. Again, low blood pressure."

"I thought I just said I didn't know your manners."

Kalian cuts off Silica's words and opens his mouth again.

"Speaking of blood, what is the Marquis of Brissen?" "

Silica's eyes were tapered. Silica, who recalled that she couldn't get rid of Kalian right away, saw it in her mouth.

"Anyway, I want to talk to you about something, Silike."

"Maybe next time. I don't want to be with you anymore."

Silica woke up.

No, I tried to get him up.

- Tak!

Callian lowers his cup of coffee a little louder.

"· · · · · · · The car."

Calian's eyes, looking at Silica, sank deeper. As Randall did, he peered into the bottom of the silica.

"I just wanted to tell you that I want you to stop. The tea smells so darkly after eating it."

Like the scent of Renee.

Silica slowly sat back down.

She told me that Kalian drank his morning tea until this morning. I didn't think Calian knew the poison was in the car. However, Calian knew about the increased poison.

'You knew and drank.'

When it became known that the car was poisoned, Silica tried to kill all of Calian's servants and maids for their sins. Poison or not, it's already a sin to give poison to the prince.

'You were worried about that subject. They don't know I'm gonna die.'

The smile on Silica's face notices why she drank the poison in the car as if she didn't know. A steady voice flows out.

"You're saying something that I can't understand."

Callian smiles and replies.

"You don't know that."

"I don't know."

I picked up the piece that Kalian had brought after tapping the coffee cup for a while. The sugar cans on the table were full of the same look. Of course, it looked the same, but it wasn't sugar in Calian's hands.

Callian speaks in an honest voice, postponing the clock. We decided not to wear masks.

"Actually, I've been thinking a lot. Let's use the evidence we recovered from Lennon. Let's just catch Lennon and blackmail him. Let's go under the teacher's shadow. Let's talk to the king. Or I, for that matter, give my brother snake's blood."

Silica narrows her eyes. Kalian ignores it and says:

"I didn't like being poisoned. Everything else seemed to be avoiding it. So I just decided that I'm going to have to force you to bring your hand. Don't ever use that hand again. Again, don't even think about using poison."

I showed Silica what Callian had in his hand.

"In order to do that, I have to put on something, but all I have right now is a strong heart. So I decided to walk at least once."

I saw the green eyes of silica placed in Calian's hands.

"Poison. It doesn't react to silver, it doesn't kill people, so it's not even detected by magic reagents." Oh, well, maybe it's medicine. You can see it's used to save lives. "

The finger of silica resting on the knee grabbed the edge of the dress slightly. It's because I didn't know what was inside of Kalian.

As if Silica didn't care if she knew all my plans, she said again.

"After eating this, I heard that after a while it stops the heart and makes the living seem like they're dead."

In fact, it was a poison that was carried by the Seychian tenants for shelter. Of course, it was not only used in Cecretia, so knowing the identity of the poison did not make any connection between Calian and Cecretia.

Kalian stares at it, staring at it, whether it's poison or medicine, with his eyes that he sees something really strange.

"Of course not for me. Even if I eat this, my heart won't stop because of the power of blessing."

"Why did I bring medicines that were useless even if I ate them?"

"Instead."

Callian speaks in a slow voice to answer Silica's question.

"It will stop the decoding."

Like a palm wound less important than poison didn't heal.

The power of blessing ignores the less important poison than the heart stops.

Even though the roses in the house next door may be parched, they won't look more peaceful than the current Khalian. Calian's attitude of telling him that his heart would stop was as bold as that.

"While the power of blessing banishes the energy of this poison, the poison I have eaten so hard to this day will spread. Of course, my heart is still strong."

"I'm not dying. I know it must be hard for you. Instead, you'll be a little annoyed."

A little bit of poison that makes you sick every day doesn't kill you. I'll try to stop the heart, and then I'll start decoding it again.

From Calian's coffee cup, I heard the sound of fondant.

"So, anyway, If you promise not to send tea tomorrow, I won't drink it. I'm sick of being sick."

Silica had only just found out about Kalian's intentions.

Addiction symptoms will appear even if you do not die. If anyone vomits blood in front of everyone and falls down, everyone has to doubt the poison. Moreover, since the symptoms alone did not know how much they had consumed, it could be seen that they tried to poison themselves in an amount that would not even be detoxified by the power of blessing.

Even now, Silica was alone with Kalian at the banquet hall.

Silica smiled, realizing that the gaze of doubt would reach her.

"Savage. I poisoned you. You think you can frame me for saying this?" "

"I don't know if that's an alias. But do you really need to say that? No one wants me gone more than you do now."

A relaxing smile fell over Silica's mouth again.

I felt like putting one foot down in the sand castle that a young child had been making all day. In that good mood, the masked silica said in a soft voice.

"Do you have the evidence?"

Kalian's eyes widen like a child. I heard an exaggerated voice that sounded very teasing.

"Evidence! Do you need that?"

Callian picks up the spoon and shakes the coffee slowly. Then I corrected what Silica had said.

"I'm not trying to kick you out right now. No matter how many masters there are, if Earl Brissen drags all those knights here, how can I win?"

"I'm glad you know."

As Silica smiles and answers, Kalian smiles together.

"What I want to do is make sure you don't mess with the poison anymore. So I don't need any proof. This time, I'm just going to make sure that people keep doubting and monitoring you on my behalf. Some prisons are more suffocating because they're invisible."

Doubt alone cannot punish a man. What I knew best was silica.

"You can't keep me in that prison. An invisible prison. I've never been there. You know I've been doing that for a long time."

I've sinned so much that I'm sitting here relaxing and drinking coffee.

Silica leans back and approaches Calian.

I smiled like a child.

"Who knows, in this world, that your mother sent you there!"

Silica whispered like a bird whispering in the morning.
